The One Belief That Changes Everything

Sam Daghash argues that self-belief is the single most impactful factor for personal growth, and that most people lack it because of limiting beliefs from family, culture, and environment. He offers a concrete exercise: write down your limiting beliefs, trace where they came from, and consciously recondition them.

Grand rising and welcome to New Mind, where our intention is clear and it's always to share information for transformation. Thank you for being here. Thank you for tuning in. If you're watching this video, you'll notice something very different than my usual videos, is that I'm out here in the forest. I'm out here in nature. I'm out here in South Africa, Cape Town, in an estate in an area called Noordhoek, one of the most beautiful places I've ever literally experienced in my life. It is a stunning part of the world and a stunning estate, and I'm so grateful to be here immersing myself for the coming weeks. And I just wanted to come up here to share with you guys. Firstly, I want to share with you this environment. Look how beautiful and peaceful. This is one of the gardens that I'm in at the moment. And this is an actual garden in the estate I'm staying at. And there's multiple gardens. And I'm so grateful for the experience and grateful to be here and grateful to connect with nature. If you know, living in Dubai, there's always a different type of beauty and a different type of experience. So when I come into nature, I really, really, really take it all in and I appreciate it on a deeper level. For those that are living in nature all the time versus that is not, and the contrast is so powerful and so beautiful. So I'm really, really immersing myself in this experience and I feel every day that I'm recharged and I don't really have to do much by just simply being present and opening myself up to the space. But this is not why I came here to share this episode with you guys. I came here for this episode, which is going to be super powerful. For those that are listening on the streams, you can check this out. This episode will be on YouTube, so you can have a bit of more visual and understanding where I am and the beauty that I'm surrounded by. But more importantly, I really wanted to come up here to share with you guys a topic, a very important topic, and more importantly, an area that somehow we forget, maybe overlook sometimes. But in summary, it's a gift. And it's a gift that if we give ourselves this gift, and we're the only people that can give ourselves this gift, we are the only individuals, we are the only people that can gift ourselves this gift. And this gift will literally, literally change your life. And I can speak this from my personal experience, but also from the— under the decade of working with people from all around the world to help them transform their mind and recondition their mind. And what I've seen that made the most positive impact in their life is this gift that they get to gift themselves. No one can gift this to you except you. And you know what this gift is? It's the power of gifting yourself the gift of self-belief. or believing in yourself. But I'm not talking about like, I believe in myself. I'm talking like deeply, authentically, and really believing in yourself. And we call this the self-belief, right? So believing in yourself and the power of believing in yourself and what that actually does and why most people don't believe in themselves. And this is no judgment. It's just a process. You either believe in yourself or you don't, or you're on the path to believing in yourself and you're gaining momentum. Well, one of the things that I've picked up is that most people don't believe in themselves because of their past experiences, past conditioning, the environments they grew up in, the situations and the experiences that they were exposed to in life, you know, being it from their parents, from their culture, from their environment. More importantly, this is what we call conditioning, right? So the conditioning can either bring you closer or further away from self-belief. And what I found is that the moment you unlearn the things that are in the way of you really harnessing and believing in yourself, magic starts to happen. Because when you believe in yourself, you believe in possibilities. And when you believe in yourself, you believe in your dreams, and you believe in taking action towards your dreams, not holding back. Most people won't even pursue what they would love to pursue purely because they don't believe in themselves and they don't give themselves the opportunity to explore. And for me, this is a really, you know, a big thing in life because you would be not living your full potential if you didn't pursue what you were meant to pursue and what you were meant to come and do on this planet Earth, this beautiful life experience, right? And most people have been conditioned to be a certain way or follow a certain path. And sometimes, more often than not, those paths are not really theirs. They were someone that was conditioned to them to make them believe that that's all they can do, or that's what they believe their potential lies. But when you come into believing in yourself and you— and something, something magical clicks in the psyche of the mind, but also in the energy of the person. Because the moment you believe in yourself, you not only start taking action, but you activate what we call, or I like to call, the creative mind. And the creative mind is the mind that allows you to literally create. Because we were born to create. We weren't born to be limited by our potential. We were born to be unlimited by our thought process, by our creativity. By exploring and trying things out and learning and failing and growing. That is all part of the journey of the human experience. And unfortunately, over the years, where I find most people that were suffering, either depressed because they're not creating, they're not following what they're actually wanting to follow deep inside, so they find they create havoc in their life. There's a lot of misalignment, negative relationships, negative relationships with the self. They bring themselves into experiences that is not in alignment with what they want. And that's purely because they have lacked or they have disconnected with their own self-belief. And that comes from what we call the identity of how they see themselves or how they perceive themselves. And when you think about that, it's really powerful, right? Because it's all at the end of the day the relationship between you and yourself. And if you have a good relationship with yourself, if you believe in yourself, if you have a, you know, I call it the roommate, the thought process in your mind that is encouraging you and making you make the right decisions in life and pursue what you are meant to be pursuing, then you are ultimately going to have a better life experience. And I'm not saying that everything you will pursue you will succeed at. No, that's not the point. The point is to pursue what you think you are capable of pursuing, because in that pursuing, in that journey, you're gonna grow, you're gonna learn, you're gonna evolve as a human. And that's what it's about. It's about evolving. It's about growing. It's about experiencing different things in life. But that never comes with ease if there's no self-belief. And a lot of clients of mine, a lot of students of mine over the years, you know, they would come to me and like, look, I want to have more confidence, right? I'm like, confidence isn't something that you have or you don't have. Confidence is a matter of believing in yourself. And if you believe in yourself, you become more comfortable with yourself. And when you become more comfortable with yourself, you become more authentic. And when you become more authentic with yourself and with the world around you, you become more magnetic. So the idea is it all starts with self-belief and self-acceptance. And the things in the way is what the work is, is what do I need? Why do I believe the limiting beliefs about myself that's stopping me from believing in myself? What are those? If I was you right now listening to this or watching this podcast, I'd say take a pen and paper and write down All the things that you believe about yourself that are not really good, that you think— you believe them because you either believe you're not good enough, and then you go, well, why? Where did I decide that I'm not good enough? Because all beliefs are decisions. Or you believe it's not possible, you believe you're not worthy. Whatever those beliefs are, they're simply decisions, but they're the decisions that needs to be dealt with and reconditioned and unlearned so that you can reconnect with your true essence which is the essence of who you are, which is you were born to believe in yourself. You were born to love yourself. You were born to accept yourself. And you change the relationship where you get that validation from the inside world versus the outside world. And this is where most people fall into that trap of, I only believe in myself when people give me compliments or only believe in myself when someone's telling me I'm doing a good job, or when my parents or my siblings or my partner, whatever. That is unfortunately a disempowering model of reality, because if you're relying on things outside of you to believe in yourself, the things outside of you won't always go the way you want. So you want to always have an always-on button that is, I always believe in myself. I believe in myself. And it doesn't mean you're right all the time doesn't mean what you're going to do and you're going to succeed all the time. But the idea of believing in yourself is giving you opportunities, is giving you possibilities, it's giving you a sense of pursuing what is meant for you in life to pursue and to experience fully. You know, think about it now when I'm speaking to you. Yes, you, the one that's listening to this or watching this right now. Where in your life have you held back of something that you wanted to do But you held back because you had the thought, and it's only a thought, that came to mind that says, no, you can't do it. Forget about it. You're not good enough. You're not confident enough. You can't speak. You're not pretty enough. You're not good-looking enough. Whatever it is, it's only the self-image, that identity, that is stopping you from fully embracing an experience. So I go back to this, and I go back to this fundamental baseline that for you to unlock your full potential in life, truly to unlock your full potential in life, is you have to fully believe in yourself. And even if you had experiences in the past where you failed, and that might have bruised your confidence, or it might have given you a sense of a setback, that still is not valid enough to take away from your own self-belief and self-acceptance and self-love and self-appreciation. So my message to you, my beautiful listener, my tribe, the ones that are listening to me from all around the world, and I know who you are, I check my stats, especially the stats on my streams on Buzzsprout. I'm so grateful for you. I'm grateful for you for tuning in. And I always encourage you guys that are watching the YouTube is also to subscribe because I want to grow this channel. I genuinely want to grow it, not for the purpose of growing it because I want to be an influencer, but growing it so I can share this experience and share this knowledge that I've gained over years and years of experience of working with people and also working on myself. Everything that I share here on this channel is things that are evidence-based, things that I've seen the breakthroughs myself, both in my journey and in the hundreds and hundreds of clients and students and my tribe that I've worked with over the years. And it's It's such a beautiful thing to witness. So when I speak with you, I speak my truth, and I really genuinely want to resonate, and I want this to resonate with you so you can take something away. My intention again with this video is to be the reminder for you, my beautiful listener, my beautiful viewer, is to remember the power of gifting yourself, the power of gifting yourself self-belief. that is the most important thing, most important fundamental foundation baseline, is to believe in yourself. And honestly, if you're someone that's watching this or listening to this now that struggles with believing in yourself, that struggles with seeing yourself in that light, that you might feel that there's parts of you that is holding you back from fully embracing the things that you wanna pursue in life, but more important, from being comfortable of being yourself, then Please DM me, reach out. I'm more than happy to guide you. I'm more than happy to give you some steps, some direction, some ways of being back and coming back to yourself, coming back to your full power. Because it's not yourself. No, it's not your— it's not like you're broken or there's something wrong with you. It's simply conditioning. It's simply a situation that needs to be shifted within the mind that allows you to see yourself in that light, to believe in yourself fully. fully, and not to fake it, but to really, really, really just embody it. Embody the self-belief, the self-trust. And honestly, honestly, guys, magic literally unfolds because then you have your higher power, you have your higher— your soul, your higher self is all in alignment with you. It's guiding you and it's giving you nuggets of experiences, to pursue and to take action and take steps towards what it is that you want to experience in life. And I think life is too short not to experience things that are innate, divinely meant for you. And the only thing that is in the way most of the time is you. Or most of the time, what's in the way of people pursuing what they want to pursue is themselves. It's no one outside of them that's holding them back. It's them not seeing themselves in that light. So here's my reminder, my beautiful tribe, to go all in in believing in yourself. Go all in in loving yourself. Go all in in remembering— and I say this, and I'll repeat that again— in remembering that you are good enough the way you were born into this world. You are good enough, and you are worthy of all that your heart desires. And when you remember that, and when you know that, then maybe this will be that reminder for you today. So thank you again, tribe. Thank you, my beautiful listeners, viewers, for taking the time to watch this, to listen to this. Sending you love and positive energy from the motherland, South Africa. Big love, much love, and positive energy.
