Uncertainty Doesn’t Break You… It Reveals Who You Really Are

In this solo podcast recorded from Dubai, the host reflects on more than 30 days of living amid regional conflict and the pervasive sense of uncertainty that accompanies it. He argues that uncertainty does not break a person; rather, it exposes the conditioning of their nervous system and the relationship they have with the unknown. A regulated nervous system enables calm, resourceful decision‑making, while dysregulation leads to fear‑driven reactions and poor choices. The speaker emphasizes the importance of guarding one’s attention and energy—describing a "war on attention"—and aligning focus with desired outcomes rather than worst‑case scenarios. Practical state‑management tools are offered, including breathwork, limiting news consumption, grounding practices, and cultivating supportive community. He stresses internal stability and self‑trust as the true source of power, noting that external certainty is fleeting. The episode concludes with an invitation to a master workshop (co‑hosted with the Man Cave Project) aimed at helping men become "unshakable" by mastering attention, energy, and nervous‑system regulation.

Grand rising and welcome to New Mind, where our intention is clear and is to share information for transformation. Thank you for being here. Thank you for tuning in. If you're watching this on YouTube, thank you for being here. If you're listening to this on any of our audio platforms, I appreciate you tuning in and, uh, just making the time. I know time is valuable, probably most valuable now, especially with everything that's going on in this world. We come to realize that our attention and time is probably the most important currency for us. So I appreciate you being here. Again, I've been, you know, not prioritizing the podcast for obvious reasons, you know, being here, living in Dubai and being in the region for the past 30+ days in a region of war. And a lot of things has been going on. I've been having to reprioritize my work, prioritize my meetings, prioritize everything else, just to make sure that everything is in alignment to the environment and what we're going through. And more importantly, it's about adapting and adopting and adjusting, and being able to adjust and adapt is a very important thing that I feel most of us sometimes struggle with. So it's been a good learning. And the reason I wanted to shoot this podcast today is really bring in my personal experience of the last 30 days and what has revealed to me and what have I noticed around my environment, and perhaps share with you some valuable information that is going to be able to help you wherever you are, being it in the region or abroad, because we are definitely moving into a world that I say is more and more with the theme of uncertainty, right? And really, it's really interesting when you think about it because you could be in the same environment and the same uncertainty, but a lot of people have a different reaction or a different experience to it, yeah? And this is what hit me in this particular space, specifically the last month or so of how people react to uncertainty and what it actually does. And I find that uncertainty will always reveal to you where you're at in terms of your conditioning, in terms of, um, you know, how you show up and how you deal with it. So I find uncertainty for me isn't a problem really. What the real problem is for most people, it's the relationship they have with it. And I think this is important. In all honesty, Because of the line of work I am in and the life path that I've chose nearly a decade ago is been conditioning myself, and of course helping my clients as well and my students around that I've worked with over the years is how to deal and how to deal better with the unknown, right? And have better relationship with uncertainty and the patterns of fear, control, that overthinking that tends to surface up when a person is exposed to a sense of uncertainty, right? So it really reveals What's in our inner world because of the pressure that we get exposed to, and and like I said, everyone has this threshold. This is not judgment; this is reality, and the threshold is also dependent on how their nervous system is dealing with the situation, right? With with the experience. And just before I went live right now in the studio, we just literally received another alert, and the alert is you know this alert that. stay in, there's some missiles coming through. Now, for me, I've become accustomed to this, and, you know, and, and for some, they will have a different reaction and, and have more of a panic, right? Again, no judgment. This is just how are you regulating your nervous system and how are you coping and what is the meaning you're giving this experience, right? And that's constantly something we need to always, um, be aware of, of having a regulated nervous system versus a dysregulated nervous system. Because if you have a regulated nervous system, your reaction is more responsive versus than reacting and something controlling you. You don't get triggered that easy. You're more calm and you're more resourceful. And that's the name of the game, I think, in what we're going through today. For me, I think the most important thing is to remain to the best of your ability resourceful, because if you're not resourceful, you're gonna make decisions, you're gonna, you know, do things out of fear that you look back back and you go, oh, I wish I didn't do that, I didn't react this way, I should have done this or that, etc., which is always the case when it comes to a nervous system that's dysregulated because we narrow our focus and we lose the ability to make the right decisions, um, you know, in our— in, in what we're dealing with. So I always say this to my clients, I say, you know, the most important thing right now, especially what I've been working with my clients in the region here is really the ability to manage your state of being, you know, and, and have the tools and the techniques that can help regulate the state, which is your nervous system, which is your thinking and feeling, right? And the decisions that you make that determines, uh, how well you're managing your state of being throughout your day, throughout the information you're exposing yourself to, throughout how you're coping with everything and the meaning you're assigning it. So I really— my heart goes out to everyone that is struggling in this time because there is definitely a low backend frequency of uncertainty and anxiety that is across the board. It doesn't matter where you live, it's there. Of course, we are very fortunate here in Dubai because we still feel, well, I feel safe. And this is one of the reasons why myself and my family haven't left the country. We feel very safe and we trust the system. We trust the defense system here and the leadership. that are doing an amazing job to keeping us safe. However, even that into taking that into account, even in being one of the best cities in the world, you still are being bombarded, being it the noises you hear or being it the information or the news or just the energy of some of the people around you, right? So you have to be able to be conscious how you manage that. And this is super, super important. This is out to my audiences that are based in the region, but a lot of you guys are abroad. A lot of you of my audience here, I know that are based out in the US and in Europe. So just to give you guys an insight, this is still relevant because as we move through times of uncertainty, being it economic uncertainty, being it whatever, whatever that is, um, you know, we need to be on point and we need to make sure that our mind is not filling those gaps of uncertainty, unknown, with fear, you know, because always the mind is going to try and think, uh, worst-case scenario to protect you. Now we don't want that. We need to be conscious about how do we make sure that my mind and my intention isn't Going to the worst case scenario in the uncertainty, but rather a reminder that you are safe. A reminder that no matter happens, you will be you're good. You're solid. You're you know you use obviously your practices and breath, and we'll get into that shortly. But the fundamentals of keeping this focused on the right attention and then the right outcome that you want, because uncertainty at the end of the day another. Side to it is unknown, right? Uncertainty is unknown, and the relationship you have with unknown will determine how well you deal with uncertainty, right? It determines how well you deal. So in the space of uncertainty, what most people do is they paint, whether consciously or subconsciously, an outcome that they don't want, right? And they fill the gap with the things, as I mentioned, that doesn't serve them. So your role and responsibility is to be conscious of that and to fill the gap with the things that you want, rather with the projection Projected outcomes you want because you don't want your body to live in panic and in fear and anxiety as if it's happening right now because the unconscious mind and the body doesn't know the difference. You could be sitting on the couch at home, but your mind could take you somewhere in the future or in the uncertainty of the unknown, and your body's living that now. And imagine living that and putting your nervous system through through that through for days. It's not healthy. It's gonna create a lot of You know, unfortunately, a lot of some in some cases it creates a dis-ease which leads to disease, right? So most people get ill from from having a nervous system that is shut and and and and focused on the sympathetic nervous system. So it is important that we zoom out and we really quiet the mind and we focus our and we make sure that we are aware that there is a war going on. But there is multiple wars going on. There's a war which is obvious that is flooding the news and creating fear and media conversations and, and, and everything that's happening on that perspective. But again, there's also the war on our attention, which I've spoken to previously. And I need you guys to be aware that the war on your attention is real. It's not something made up. It literally is there to, to drain your energy. And as you drain your energy and you focus on, on the elements that is not feeding the reality that you want, what does that do? It impacts the outcome, it impacts your projection, it impacts your energy, and it impacts your, your, your future. Because, you know, you know, if we, if we, if we take a step back and we understand how energy works and we understand how the observer effect works and what you focus on expands, where your attention goes, energy flows— these are important principles that we need to start to take into account and take it more seriously obviously today, because, you know, it's not a, it's not a, a wishy-washy. It's, it's factual. It's quantum physics, right? So when we understand where we focus our attention is where we focus our energy, and we understand that our energy is, is creative, our energy is not passive, and our energy has something to do with creating the reality and, and enforcing this reality and making it bigger in our, in our world, you have a responsibility. And your responsibility is not to give it too much attention. Your responsibility is to guard your attention, to guard your energy, and to focus your energy and attention on something that you want, on a future outcome that you want. So then, so it starts with you. It starts with taking responsibility, taking ownership on how, on how you're feeling. Because if you're not feeling good, you're going to impact the people around you, believe it or not. And you will also enforce your Projection, your tension in your body onto others, and that will influence them as well. So it starts with us. So all of us need to take responsibility on controlling the the the internal world and where we're focusing our attention and energy. And it's almost impossible. Actually, it is impossible to try and control the outside world, which is the illusion, the the anxiety that we try and control things because that's where we get anxieties when we're trying to control an outcome that we can't control. So fundamentally speaking, the principle one is that nothing outside of you is something you— the moment you try and control things that are uncontrollable, you're actually creating a force field of anxiety. That's an emotional frequency that's coming through. So what you can control and where you have ownership is your internal world. So internally shifting your internal world and taking control and ownership about where you focus your energy, where you focus your attention, getting back into a space of grounding. That's what you can control. You can control and you can manage your internal state, and that's where you regain your power. A lot of people forget that, but that is literally where you gain your power, where you can go back into, into self-trust, where you can back— go back into, into some form of stability. It's inside. All of it is inside. Getting that internal stability, not external certainty. We, we can't keep relying on external certainty. The world is changing so fast. And we need to build more of an internal stability and handling things internally. The moment you trust yourself, then what starts to happen— uncertainty starts to lose its grip. You see, when you trust your inner world, you trust the ability that you're able to remain grounded, you start to lose— uncertainty starts to lose its grip over you. And then you move, you know, from the idea of reacting to rather responding. You know, from being impulsive rather to being more aware and more intentional in what you're doing. And as I said, most people don't think in uncertainty, they react. And my goal and my mission in the work I do for years is to allow people as well to be comfortable with uncertainty, and also in the game of uncertainty, in the field of uncertainty, in the field of the unknown is the opportunities and possibilities that you can create and you can manage. Because that's the game. That's the name of the game, is how can I be comfortable in the unknown, and how do I manage my state in the unknown and the uncertainty of it all? Is— am I someone that falls down and crumbles, runs away, do whatever that is, runs away? It could be from a relationship, or it could be from, from a country, whatever that is. Or am I someone that can remain grounded And can remain focused, and we can remain more intentional with what I do. This is super important. So you know, I'm again, I'm reiterating this message to my my tribe here, especially the guys that are living in Dubai or in the region around because I have friends and family all across the region here, of course. And it's important that we Learn to regulate the nervous system. Learn the importance of the people that you surround yourself with, the energy, the conversations, the healthy boundaries we set ourselves, and not be isolated. No, but bring in the community feel. Bring in the ones that raise the energy, but raise the energy together collectively, focusing on the outcomes you want, not the outcomes you don't want. And that, that what you just heard now, if you heard it, that's the message we get Prior and post. So prior, you get the you know the warning, and then you get everything's cleared. So there is a space of uncertainty that happens in between. That's most people struggle with right now. What's going to happen now? I got the warning until you get the message that you're okay. Now you're supposed to be okay throughout that entire message, by the way. This is just a little example, but that moment of Warning to that you're okay. A lot of people within that gap, and this is just an example, they struggle most because that's a heightened place of uncertainty, a heightened place of unknown. There's always that sense of unknown, but that just heightens it. So how do we navigate that? You know, how do we manage that is the question, and. Honestly, there's a few things that I am going to reiterate today that I've been doing personally is number one is making sure that I'm managing my energy and not overconsuming news because news is the, in my opinion, the feeding force of fear because it exacerbates everything, makes everything bigger. And that's how news is designed that way, right? So understanding that there's no overconsumption because that will result in burnout. Understanding we need to protect our state, protect your energy like it's a currency, you know, and really understanding these fundamentals. Because those fundamentals, if we're not reminded by it, if we're not— if not, we're not aware of it, we fall into that loop, you know. And simple things, guys, I will reiterate, like slowing your breath when you wake up at morning, or, or when you feel any form of anxiety, taking a breath in through the nose, slowing it down, breathing out through the mouth. Any sense overwhelmed, you have to take the tools that you have access to. This is the easiest way to snap out of it, is your breath. The breath is the biggest gift we've been gifted with. And I'm not talking about just breathing, the actually the learning the ability of how to breathe properly in ways of anxiety that will bring you back into balance. Remember, limit yourself, limit your exposure to negative inputs, focus only on what you can control. Stay connected to grounded people and build trust within yourself. Build trust within with with the unknown, focusing on the outcomes that is important. That when you think about the unknown, what do you have? What images show up in your in your mind? Are they images of disaster and doom and gloom, or are they images of seeing yourself healthy, strong, grounded in a place of peace? No matter what, you know. And I think that is the most important thing, you know. Like I said, this past month has really revealed a lot for me about myself and everyone that I work with and my friends and extended family. It's just been a great revealing teacher, and it's no judgment here. It's just a revealing teacher of what we need to do more To help ourselves, and what we need to do more to make sure that uncertainty is something we can cope with and deal with in our life. Because uncertainty isn't going anywhere, guys. News flash. So the real question isn't how do you avoid it? It's who do you become in the face of it? That's the real question. Who do you become in the face of it? And I think that's something we all have room to improve on. And grow and become even more powerful in. Because as I said, the world we're stepping into now, where we're going, is a world designed to keep people on edge and in the realm of uncertainty. So it's a superpower today for someone to have the ability, capability of navigating uncertainty while they are grounded, while they are focused, while they are in a space of, of clarity and not, not being overwhelmed or overstimulated and making decisions that doesn't really serve them or their family or their loved ones, etc. So my message to you, reach out. Honestly, reach out. Feel free to DM me if you're someone that's struggling. I've been giving a few of my community some free sessions recently just to help regulate their nervous system, get them back into balance. I'm also running a master workshop at the end of this month, 26th of April, co-hosting it with the Man Cave Project, one of the greatest men's initiatives here in Dubai. I'm really excited about that, where I'm going to be giving the tools, empowering those men to remain grounded, remain strong, remain unshakable. You know, the master workshop is unshakable. It's about how do you remain unshakable while you focus your attention and energy on what matters in your life. And that's where I think men, as men today, we have even more of a responsibility for ourselves, for our families, for our partners to show up in a manner of being unshakable. Because if we're, if we're, if we're unshakable, if we're shakable and we're, you know, not strong, and it affects everyone around us. And, and I'm calling on you If you're someone here listening to this podcast in Dubai or in the UAE, join us. Join us. We we we we have we're keeping it intimate. To be honest, I don't like massive groups in these sort of setups because I want to engage with everyone, and we're going to be doing some live coaching, live experiences, and and more importantly, empowering the men with tools that actually they can take home with them and and and navigate this. This reality that we are entering into. Much love to you all, guys. Thank you so much for tuning in one more time. Thank you for being here, um, and stay safe, stay strong, stay grounded, stay unshakable. Much love and positive energy. Thank you.
