5 Tests Men Use on High-Value Women

In this solo YouTube presentation, dating coach Sami Wunder explains that men subconsciously test women during the early stages of dating to assess their emotional resilience, independence, and value. She outlines five specific “tests”: (1) the delayed‑text test, where a man slows his replies to see if a woman panics; (2) the playful‑tease test, where off‑hand comments probe a woman’s self‑confidence; (3) the boundary test, where a man pushes for time, intimacy, or last‑minute cancellations to gauge how firmly a woman holds her limits; (4) the emotional‑reaction test, where a controversial opinion checks whether a woman can stay calm and disagree gracefully; and (5) the scarcity test, where a man signals a busy schedule to see if a woman becomes needy or remains self‑regulated. For each test, Wunder recommends a “high‑value” response: stay calm, maintain emotional regulation, set clear boundaries without aggression, respond playfully yet confidently, and let the man lead the connection while preserving personal autonomy. She frames these dynamics within an evolutionary‑psychology lens, arguing that both sexes are subconsciously evaluating the lowest effort required to obtain a high‑quality partner. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action encouraging viewers to like, comment, subscribe, and consider joining her ELEVATE coaching program, which promises to teach a “6 Pillar Love Success Framework” for attracting healthy, empowered masculine partners.

Men are going to test you in dating, and it's not because they're toxic or narcissistic or they're looking to manipulate you. They're simply going to test you because there's something about masculine energy testing feminine strength. So now, when a woman knows how to recognize these subconscious tests that men will put you through when they're getting to know you, you can show up in your emotionally regulated, high-value energy. And the issue with most women, even when you're very smart is that you don't see these tests. But these tests are important to pass, simply because if a man is assessing you for long-term potential, he wants to see that you are a partner who will not crumble under pressure, not over-function, not chase, and not abandon your standards in a moment of weakness. So let's look at what these 5 tests are. And of course, I'm going to tell you how to deal with them in a high-value way as well. Now, test number 1 is the delayed text. Now, in this scenario, a man is not going to ghost you. He's not going to fizzle out, but he's slightly going to reduce his efforts, slightly going to reduce the speed of his response. Now, this is a subconscious test to see, are you going to panic? Because obviously, if you've gotten used to intense back-and-forth texting with him, this might give you anxiety. And when a woman is not able to recognize this as a test, what she will do is give in to her anxiety. So he is literally testing to see if you're going to send him the panicked text, hey, did I do something wrong? Or, hey, are you too busy right now? How come I haven't heard from you yet? Or maybe even the one I don't recommend at all, which is the double text, which is basically a result of feeling massive anxiety. And then being worried about being abandoned. And so you end up chasing the guy. So here's the thing. The way to pass this High Value Test is to simply do nothing. Because the truth is, if you stay unpanicked and you stay peaceful and confident and emotionally regulated, most men will come back. And this will communicate to them that even though you enjoy the connection, even though you enjoy the dynamic the two of you share, You are not emotionally dependent on him. Now, test number 2 is the Playful Tease Test. Now, in this scenario, a man's going to give an offhand comment to you, and this offhand comment is basically there to test your level of self-confidence. So he might say something like, oh, so you think you're so special? Oh, so you think I will do that for someone like you? Oh, So you get a lot of male attention. Is that it? And basically, this test is to test if you are going to crumble under the pressure, if you're going to start defending yourself, if you're going to get all anxious and worried. How does he perceive me like this? Why does he perceive me like this? Why is he saying that? So he just wants to see if he can get you all emotionally wound up. And if he can't do that, it's going to communicate to him that you do not depend on him for your emotional validation. And this is one of the most powerful signals of self-confidence that a woman can give to a man who is making an offhand comment. Now, of course, in this scenario, the best comeback is usually something self-assured and playful and grounded, like, well, you'll have to figure out who I truly am over time, I guess. Now let's move on to test of value #3, the boundary test. And this is a big one. Now, men are constantly going to test your boundaries. And again, I have to say it in the favor of men, they're not doing it on purpose. When you see dating as an evolutionary psychology-based behavior, where both men and women are looking to attract the highest quality mate, then you understand that at some level, we are all subconsciously testing each other, and we are all subconsciously seeing what is the lowest level of effort we can put in, in order to get what we want from another person. And men are no different. They are going to constantly test if they can get your time, if they can get access to your body, if they can get access to your home without having to put in a lot of effort. So a man is going to do stuff like, can I come into your apartment after date number 1? I'm going to try and push for more physical intimacy. Is she going to accept or is she going to say no? I'm going to cancel plans last minute. Will she let me get away with it or will she say something? Because what I am looking for is how much do I have to invest in this connection in order to have access to this woman? Now, if you have watched one of my videos on being the cool girl on my YouTube channel, you will know that the more bad behavior you allow from a man, the more his attraction for you dwindles and reduces. Because he literally thinks he can access you, he can access your time, energy with the lowest possible effort. So in these scenarios, you definitely want to stick to your boundaries, not in an angry, snappy, bitchy, weird, withholding, punishing, rude kind of way, but in a high-value kind of way. If somebody cancels last minute, you don't want to say, sure. You want to say, well, last-minute cancellations don't work for me. I hope this doesn't happen again. Or if someone says, can I come to your apartment? After date number 1 or 2, you can always say, not yet. If someone is trying to escalate physical intimacy too quickly, you can say, hey, I think you're nice, but I'm not there yet. And this is the communication of true high value. Trust me, men respect women with boundaries. And if you are not able to see these tests of value, you're not going to be able to pass them. Now, the truth is, every woman is valuable. Of course you are valuable, and of course you are worthy. But dating is about understanding that you have to communicate that worth in your words, in the way you hold boundaries, in the way you behave, and in the behaviors you allow or don't allow from a man. So this is test number 3. Now let's move on to test number 4, and this is a funny one but equally important. This is the emotional reaction test. Now, I'm going to give you, as a man, I'm going to give you a weird political opinion. I'm going to give you some weird stance I have about the world, and I am going to observe how you deal with the situation when you don't agree with what I have to say. Maybe what I say is something actually meant to be super offensive, because I am looking to test who are you when you disagree? Do you go nuts? Do you explode? Do you start naming and shaming and get all hysterical about it? Or are you a high-value woman who can sit at the table, have a nice dinner, not get caught up in arguments, not lose your cool over political opinions, and agree to disagree, but do it gracefully. So if you're a woman, for example, you're like one of my ELEVATE clients, and inside ELEVATE, we teach both emotional regulation and feminine communication. You literally have the tools in your back pocket to sit at a dinner table in a Michelin-star restaurant and hear a political opinion that you don't agree with, but you're not going to sabotage your connection with this person. You have the tools to disagree in a graceful way. And when you're able to do that, you are going to get so many brownie points from a high-value man, because men respect women who don't lose it, even when they don't agree with you. Now, the final test of value that a man will put you through Is the scarcity test. Now, the scarcity test is all about testing how emotionally dependent you are on him. And when he's not around, are you going to get needy? Are you going to get super accommodating? Are you going to chase, over-function, try to fill the gap? Or if you're going to let him lead the connection and stay leaned back gracefully in your feminine energy? Because as much as you like this man, You are not going to start bending over backwards to please him and to be chosen by him. So usually, this test is when a man will say something like, you know, I've got a busy week ahead, I may not be able to see you, or I'm going to be traveling a lot, it's going to be very demanding, my schedule is super packed. And so he's testing that when he says all these things, how you respond. Do you go, oh, don't worry, I'll call, we'll find a way to keep in touch, or do you go, over-functioning? Do you go, oh, don't worry, we'll find a way to meet. Just let me know what works for you and we'll figure it out. Or do you go, of course, sounds like it's a lot. Well, I hope it goes well for you. And then you let him lead the connection. Basically, the bottom line of all Value Tests is when a man senses that you like him, that you want him, but you are not making him the center of your world, That even if he is showing up on your phone or not showing up on your phone, you are still the same happy, peaceful, self-regulated girl with a life of her own. And this makes you so attractive, not just in the short run, but I would say even in the long run. This is the formula for real high-value attraction because men, while they want to be needed by a woman, they do not want to be around a needy woman. And when a woman is able to see these tests of value and she's able to pass them gracefully, she signals high mating value to a high-value man.
