Attracting Emotionally Unavailable Men Repeatedly? Watch This...

In this coaching video, Sami Wunder addresses women who repeatedly fall for emotionally unavailable men, explaining that the issue lies not in the women but in the men's inability to manage their own emotions. She defines emotional unavailability, outlines its primary symptoms—hot‑and‑cold behavior, fear of intimacy, and inconsistent investment—and explains why these patterns feel addictive, linking them to dopamine spikes triggered by drama and love‑bombing. Wunder introduces the concept of a "relationship container," emphasizing that a healthy partnership requires consistent, real‑life effort from the man, not just digital attention. She argues that women must set clear standards, notice how a man's behavior makes them feel, and become emotionally available to themselves in order to break the cycle. The video also promotes her Elevate coaching program, which offers separate cohorts for single women and women in relationships to process pain, recognize projections, and develop intentional relationship habits. Viewers are invited to book a consultation for personalized support.

Those of us who are in love with an emotionally unavailable man, those of you who have been in love with an emotionally unavailable man, you know what a painful pattern this is. And I wouldn't be surprised if you told me that you've been in this unclear situation with this person for months. But it's not really about you. I think that's what we don't understand. It's not about us. It's about the pattern that this person you're dealing with or dating has with their own emotions. It's not you. It could be anybody else. The behavior will stay the same because it's not like they get afraid of you. Your beauty is not the thing that intimidates them. Your heart is not the thing that intimidates them. Their own emotions intimidate them. Firstly, let's understand Emotional unavailability. Inside a relationship or a dynamic with a man, there are different components of attraction. You can feel a deep physical attraction with a man. You can feel a deep emotional connection with a man. However, despite having that physical attraction towards him and despite having that emotional attraction towards him, it is still completely possible that he's not in a position to do a real relationship with you. So what does this mean? This means that in order for anyone, for a man or a woman, to be in a relationship with each other, we need a certain consistency in the dynamic. We need a certain container within which that relationship operates. At least the way we teach this inside ELEVATE to our clients is that the man has to be willing, in order to have a healthy relationship with a woman, the masculine embodied partner has to be willing to invest in the woman, not just through texting and calling, but through real-life consistent dates, real-life consistent effort, all of the actions that show that he's investing his limited resources in the woman. And emotionally unavailable men often have a hard time offering this kind of container of safety for you as a woman. So you might feel attraction for him, he might feel attraction for you, you might really think the physical attraction is electric, he might feel the same, you might really feel like the emotional connection the two of you share is so rare, so special, so hard to come across, And yet you might still find that number one symptom, number one of emotional unavailability, he's not able to stay open to that connection in a consistent way. So one of the top signs of emotional unavailability is that people who are emotionally unavailable often go hot and cold in the connection. So they are really warm, they're really open, but then something happens. Where they withdraw or they get scared or they get cold feet. This is not denying your connection, by the way, with an emotionally unavailable man, because the connection is there. It's just that the safety of the container of a consistent action, consistently present man is not there. So that's sign number 1. But emotional unavailability can run even deeper. So some men will show you all the signs that everything is good in the beginning, But then once they feel like they've got your attention, once they feel like you like them back, now the chase is over, you're in, you feel it for them. That is when they will get scared of intimacy. So emotional unavailability can also look like the fear of commitment, the fear of taking the connection deeper. Yes, what we have is good, but I get scared about deepening this because It could trigger so many things within me as a man. It could trigger my fear of losing my freedom. It could trigger my fear of having to be vulnerable with you. It could trigger my insecurities. Am I good enough for an amazing woman like you? Do you, do you really like me? And when you see the real me, will you leave or will you stick around? And I don't want to risk that. I don't want to risk rejection. I don't want to risk abandonment. I don't want to risk the fear of not being good enough for you. So what do I do? I withdraw. So as a woman, you will give a lot of chances to men if you have a kind heart. You'll be like, oh, he just got scared. That feeling that we have, it's irreplaceable. It's worth a shot. He went cold, but now he's back, and maybe this time it's different. So what happens is that emotional unavailability is actually a very addictive dynamic to be in. For those of you who have known men who are emotionally unavailable, it's almost like a drug for your brain. What happens when you're dealing with an emotionally unavailable man is that the brain gets hooked to the drama. It literally activates dopamine centers of your brain when the guy who went cold or quiet or silent on you returns back in your inbox. And ting-ting, his name, and there your brain goes, dopamine. And then he gives you some attention, some breadcrumbs of attention, and that hope part within you gets revived. And you're like, this is going to be the time he's changed. This time he's going to be different. This time I'll do better. I'll be warmer. I'll be kinder, or I'll speak my truth and draw my boundaries, and then he's going to step up and do better. So recently inside ELEVATE, my team of coaches and myself, We've been doing some research on the science and neurology of hormones in romantic relationships and attachment styles. And very interestingly, my master coach, head coach, wrote an entire PDF on the role of hormones and chasing the dopamine hits in dating and within a relationship. And what we found was that so many studies show that when you're dealing with an emotionally avoidant man, The whole push-and-pull dynamic, the whole you go warm, he goes cold, you go cold, he goes warm dynamic, is actually releasing dopamine in your brain. Dopamine is like a pleasure drug in your brain, and we mistakenly think dopamine is just for joy and dopamine is produced when we feel good. But guess what? Dopamine is also produced in your brain when you deal with drama. Drama, emotional drama, is highly addictive for the brain, and that push and pull, cold and hot dynamic, that emotional drama, that uncertainty, that never knowing when he's going to go silent, when he's going to come back. When he comes back, he love bombs, so now hope is rising, dopamine hits. We think, this is different this time. Then we engage, we open our hearts, he disappears again. There we go again. We pull back, we say, never again, and never again am I giving him a chance. I'm going to delete his number. I'm never going to talk to him. I hide him from my stories on Instagram. I stop following his stories and his profile. I promise to God it's going to be different. This is such a jerk! Till the jerk comes back, and this time the jerk comes back with more love bombing, more promises, more compassion, more intentionality, and your poor heart melts again. From a logical perspective, it just doesn't make sense. You're an amazing woman. I work with so many amazing women to heal this pattern inside Elevate. And from a logical place, if you saw your best friend do this, you'd be like, oh my goodness, there you go again. Don't do this again. He is not changing. He's just coming back for a hit of attention from you. He's coming back for a hit of validation from you. But the truth is that relationships, are not logical. They're emotional. We are emotional beings. And those of you who have been in this pattern, you know that it's not because you're stupid. It's not because you're not intelligent. It's because you stay hopeful, you stay compassionate. And the truth about these situations is that what I have learned, and I've been doing this for over 10 years, The truth about these situations is that no amount of your love, your truth, your heart, your hotness can change a man who is not willing to look at his own relationship with his emotions. What these men need to understand is that if they want a loving woman in their life, she's going to make them feel something. When a beautiful, wonderful, good woman comes into your life, she's going to make you feel vulnerable. She's going to ask you to put down your mask of control. She's going to ask you to feel, to give up control. And that freaks the emotionally avoidant man out because he doesn't want to lose control. He doesn't like to feel emotions. So The biggest lesson to learn is that your love can't change him. Only his desire to uplevel for you can change him. And this is the hardest thing to learn because letting go of the hope, like really deciding, this is time, I don't want to do this anymore, I don't want to feel this pain anymore, I don't want to be so miserable anymore, Even making this decision will make you cry because it will feel like a loss. It will feel like a loss of the dream that you had with this emotionally unavailable person. Because as wonderful as your connection is, as powerful as the attraction is, if they cannot show up for you in a consistent way that makes you feel safe, cherished, seen, adored, Then it's not gonna work. It's not a relationship, right? And so many amazing women are stuck in these dynamics. So let's give you an example of how we can help you turn this around if you are joining me inside Elevate Next Level Love, which is my highly intimate, high-level, live group coaching container, and we run a track for single women, we run a track for women in relationships, and a lot of the times, women who are attached to emotionally unavailable men, we'll send you to the singles group, okay? Because that is the place where we help you process your pain, we help you see all the projections and dreams that you have built up around this connection, that are simply not true because this person is simply not present in your life in a tangible, solid way like you deserve. And so we ask our clients in ELEVATE, especially those of you who are really ready to intentionally break this pattern, because it's a very costly pattern. It's a very costly pattern. I remember I had one experience with an emotionally unavailable man. I was back in Delhi University then, still a student. And, you know, we had great chemistry and we had great emotional connection, but he would just go hot and cold. Every time I would lean back, he would lean forward and he would like really love bomb and, you know, do intensity on me. And then when I would relax and open up and think, okay, this time is different, he would withdraw. And sometimes the silence was for months. Okay. And I remember one time he said, let's meet, and we met. So I had met him a couple of times, that's how the connection had grown. But there was one time when I showed up, traveled a long way to see him, and then he just wouldn't pick up my phone at the time he was supposed to see me. And I remember deciding that day, no more, no more, I can't go through this pain. I have to like, why am I being so delusional? Like, I just need to see the facts for what they are. And of course, after I came back to the hostel, the university hostel, again I got a message just saying, hey, sorry, I was busy, didn't see my phone. I was like, what the bitch? And this was like, what, I was 19 years old, right? So I was still learning, but at least I had that amount of self-respect where I could see the pattern. But this lasted for months. I was miserable for months. I didn't know back then that this was my brain's dopamine center seeking dopamine through drama in the name of love. But it is very costly. I mean, one can afford it at 19 because one just has to make life experience. But if this is happening to you at 35 or 39 or 41, it's very costly, especially if you are a woman looking to have a family, looking to create healthy love. Looking to have babies, looking to have a family. That's what we specialize in when we work with our clients in ELEVATE. So the way we would help you, if you feel like you have this pattern of being attracted to emotionally unavailable men, all your relationships are at some level miserable, hot and cold. The guys are never consistent. They love bomb you. They tell you they care, but you can notice the cognitive dissonance where they say one thing but do another thing. They say they care, but they don't behave in ways that actually shows they care. So if you're facing all of that, we're going to invite you first and foremost to hold a certain standard with men, which is number one, he has to show up consistently in your life. Okay? He really has to show up consistently. If he's not showing up consistently, it's just not real. The real thing is in real life. Okay? They have to show up consistently in your real life experience. And then the second thing is really noticing how a man makes you feel, not just how you feel about him, because as I said, your attraction could be strong. I am not negating that. I'm not denying that. I felt it too as a young woman. So I am not devaluing your experience, and I know it's real. And I probably think it's real for him too. I think it's not that emotionally unavailable men don't feel, They feel it too. But the point is, what are they willing to do about it? And if their feelings keep scaring them and they keep stepping back and they keep ghosting and they keep withdrawing and they keep going silent, where does that leave you? With all your love and attraction, where does that leave you? Where does that leave your heart? Where does that leave your dignity? Where does that leave your self-respect? And so the second thing we ask our clients to do in ELEVATE, and if we're going to be supporting you to break this pattern, With our life support, our loving, tender, high-level expertise, then we're going to ask you to notice how a man's behavior makes you feel. Not just what he's saying and not just how you feel about him, but how a man's behavior makes you feel. And it really requires a decision to shift because this is not an easy pattern to break. And as I said, it's very expensive pattern because so often we think, this relationship is new, this man is different, but ultimately we keep attracting the same wine in a new bottle if we don't learn how to sit with our own emotions and really notice how a man makes us feel. I always tell my clients, it's impossible to attract emotionally unavailable men if you are emotionally available to yourself. Because if you are emotionally available to yourself, you will feel bad with the hot and cold guy dynamic. You will not feel good in that dynamic. The only way an emotionally unavailable man can manipulate his way back into your life is when you're not deeply attuned to your own feelings. And again, if this is happening to you, it's not your fault because most successful career-oriented women have been taught to suppress their feelings. So it's not surprising for us to see in ELEVATE that so many women end up with the wrong guys again and again because they are in the habit of suppressing their feelings instead of feeling their feelings. But this is something we love helping our clients with. We do life-changing work inside Elevate, and if it's calling you, if you are in that stage of your life where you know these are your childbearing years, this is important. There is nothing more important than this. Trust me, none of us, when we're dying, we don't care what's in our bank account, we don't care what kind of car we're driving, we care who's standing next to us. And we think about the memories we created with the ones who love us and the ones we love. So this is actually the biggest and most important decision you can make in your life, like who you decide to spend your life with. And it's a decision worth being very intentional about. It's a decision worth thinking about, considering, and being more intentional and showing up for yourself and doing the work. If you are curious about whether or not we can help you break your patterns, From unhealthy love to attracting a healthy, loving relationship, or heal the relationship you have currently right now.
