How to Get Over a Breakup and Start Dating Again

In this YouTube coaching video, Sami Wunder addresses women who are navigating the painful aftermath of a breakup—whether from a short‑intense romance or a long‑term relationship that has ended. She outlines five core steps to heal, rebuild self‑love, learn from past patterns, date intentionally, and keep an open, energetic heart. The first step emphasizes allowing oneself to fully feel grief rather than masking it with rebound dating or superficial validation. The second step focuses on rebuilding the relationship with oneself, rediscovering personal interests, and learning to enjoy one’s own company. The third step encourages extracting clear lessons from the previous relationship—identifying red flags, communication missteps, and attachment habits—to break recurring negative patterns. The fourth step advises dating differently by consciously applying those lessons and taking personal responsibility for one’s behavior in new relationships. The fifth step stresses maintaining an open‑hearted, energetic stance, avoiding guardedness that can attract similar negative experiences. Throughout, Sami weaves in client success stories from her Elevate (Next Level Love) coaching program, explains the 6‑step Love Success Framework, and repeatedly invites viewers to book a free 30‑minute consultation, positioning the program as a structured, results‑driven path to attracting a loving, masculine partner. The video blends practical advice, emotional validation, and promotional messaging.

If you're in that tender space in your life where you have recently gone through a painful breakup, maybe it was a short-term relationship which was very intense, and you really felt like you had met the one, and then things didn't work out. Or possibly it was a long relationship that was slowly moving to its death, and it finally died and disappeared from your life. But it's left you reeling and feeling all these kinds of painful emotions. You're wondering, when should I start dating again? Will I ever feel inspired to start dating again, I'm going to be giving you some helpful tips in this video. Because, believe it or not, so many women who become our success stories inside Elevate Next Level Love have, most of the times, recovered from some kind of heartbreak, or have come to us to heal from heartbreak, so that they can finally attract the one, but do it in a more intentional way this time. So let's start with number 1, how to heal from heartbreak. I think the most important thing, the most loving thing you can do for yourself, is to really give yourself the space to feel all your emotions. So often, I see women who are really struggling with a breakup asking me the question, can I go back to the apps? It would feel so good to get some male validation. I am missing the emotional connection. I miss him. I miss intimacy. I miss masculine energy. And so what do we do to run away from those feelings? We are feeling that void. We are feeling the emptiness. The home is empty. Maybe we were living together with this person. This person was there to validate us. And even if it wasn't the healthiest of relationships, just having somebody around is more comforting than being by yourself, especially if you are used to somebody else's presence. And so what can happen is that a lot of people go into rebound relationships, or a lot of people just quickly go back to the apps. But that's just a superficial way to cover your deeper grief and to cover your deeper pain. And trust me, the pain comes back. The pain rears its head. Resurfaces. If you do not spend time really allowing your real feelings, your real pain to surface, that pain will return, or you will keep finding yourself in these surface-level connections, one-night stands, quick validation exercises, but you will end up feeling lonely and empty again. So the most important thing you can do is to really give yourself some time off, some time off to heal, some time off to spend with yourself, some time off to really sit with your emotions, your grief, your pain, and understand that validating your feelings and validating your emotions and really fully feeling your emotions is actually a very healthy way of working through a breakup. It would be very weird, strange, and robotic that after spending time with somebody and caring for somebody, you never felt any pain. So allow that pain to surface, journal, cry, grieve, and consciously let that relationship go. And understand that there is the pain of alignment, and then there is the pain of misalignment, and both situations cause pain. So the pain of alignment is, this was a wrong relationship, and I stepped out of it, or we broke up. Of course it hurts, but it's the pain of alignment. It is the pain of doing the right thing for me. And then there is the pain of misalignment, which is, you know you are in the wrong relationship, but you continue to stay in the relationship because leaving the relationship is painful. So there is pain of staying in the wrong relationship, and then there is the pain of letting go of a relationship that is not meant for you. And so find solace in the fact that you are in the stage and in the phase of pain of alignment. You have done the right thing for you. The right outcomes have unfolded for you, and now it's for you to get through this with love for yourself. Now, tip number 2, if you're recovering from heartbreak, is to rebuild the relationship with yourself. Now, so often I see the women inside ELEVATE, they've really lost themselves inside a relationship that was misaligned and that was not right for them. They had become so much about, what does he need? What does he want? What are the needs of his stepchildren? And the woman had so little time to prioritize herself, what she wanted, had lost touch with her own body, exercise, hobbies, friends. So I think this phase after breakup is a beautiful phase to look at yourself, to really spend quality nurturing time with yourself, because you, my love, are going to be the most important person in your life forever. And so strengthening this relationship with yourself, really being present with yourself, not escaping, you know, being with yourself home alone, but actually learning how to enjoy your own company, Instead of constantly filling your life with distractions, parties, work, because you are afraid of being alone or being lonely, this is a great time to actually get to know yourself and fall in love with yourself. Because the level at which you love yourself, the level at which you are there for yourself, is the level at which you will attract the right man moving forward. Now, the 3rd thing, and this is what I teach all my ELEVATE clients, because sometimes even when women join ELEVATE, they will make mistakes, they will repeat their past patterns, they will not listen to what we're saying in the program. And that's okay. You know, you're allowed to make mistakes. I really believe in running a life coaching program where women don't feel like they are regimented and they have to follow all these superficial rules, but they really learn by being their authentic self. And sometimes that is a path of making mistakes to really figure out who we are, right? So one thing I am a huge fan of is learning clear lessons from the past. So I'm not a big believer in constantly focusing on the pain of a breakup. I am not a big fan I'm not a fan of constantly focusing on, oh, he's not there, he's gone. But I am a huge believer in understanding, why did the relationship roll out the way it rolled out? What were the things I could have done better? What were the signs that I overlooked? What were the signs that I refused to see? Were there red flags there that I refused to acknowledge? Were there things that I did that actually caused the guy to feel pushed away, feel judged, feel rejected? Was it my communication that could be improved in my next relationship? Did I take sex for granted? Did I let myself go in this relationship? Did I get too comfortable? Did I overattach too quickly and give everything too much meaning? Right? So what is the lesson? What are the core lessons? Because I think when you're going through a breakup, the biggest fear that comes up before you start dating again is, oh my goodness, Can I really trust myself to choose the right guy? I've always chosen the wrong men. I've always just ended up in relationships that fizzle out. I've never been the wife. I've always been the girlfriend who gets rejected after a few years and after being test-driven. So can I really change this? And yes, you can, but you cannot change this by just consuming YouTube videos forever. I'm sorry to say this, and I don't say this just because I don't think that education that is free is not valuable. I really do believe this is still very valuable education for you, and Well done for showing up and watching this. But at the same time, let's face it: if you have major patterns, if you are an overgiver, if you are afraid of real intimacy, if you have bad and unproductive styles of communication with men, if you get overattached and overinvested, just watching these YouTube videos is not going to fix that. You need to get super intentional, super focused on changing these patterns. So getting clear on the lessons is tip number three, and this beautiful. Which beautifully leads me to tip #4, which is, when you date again, you have to date differently. And you have to look at the patterns that caused the previous relationship to collapse. And yes, maybe it's not all your fault, because most people think in terms of black and white, like, oh, so it's all my fault, not the guy's fault. No, it's not all black and white, but it takes two to tango. So there's a certain kind of man that you felt attraction for, who ended up being toxic. There's a certain kind of man that you pulled into your life, and you tolerated and entertained in your life, that ended up hurting you, ended up dismissing your needs. There is a certain way you talk in relationships that pushes men away. There's a certain way you get attached that actually feels very intense for the other person, pushing them away. There is a certain energy within you where you start to get into masculine when you like a man, and then you become the over-giver again. So this is not about self-blame. This is about taking personal responsibility, because until and unless you intentionally learn the lesson, and then you intentionally offer different behaviors in dating, I can understand why you would be afraid of going back there, because you are subconsciously afraid of repeating the same patterns. And I think this is where giving yourself the gift of joining a program like ELEVATE can be so incredibly empowering for women like you, because it completely helps you shift the trajectory of your love life by helping you really show up in your dating life and in your behaviors in a completely different way. So I can think of my client, Jennifer, who actually, you know, she was saving money, saving money, saving money, not enrolling in ELEVATE, and hoping that she can figure things out on her own, till she basically was told one morning by her boyfriend over coffee, by the way, I'm never going to marry you, so if you're looking to have children and have a family, I think you should leave. And so she left that day his home after a 7-year-long relationship, joined ELEVATE the next day, and I'm not kidding you, in 6 months, she was engaged to a man who adores her, and the couple is now happily married. And what we really did was help her see the lessons. So point number 3, help her see the lessons— where she was tolerating, where she was being the good girl, where she was dismissing her own needs for commitment. I mean, she waited 7 years for the ring to come, right? And then within Elevate, we gave her our 6-step Love Success Framework. And basically, here's where I show you how you can skip the whole girlfriend stage and go straight to wife, and what are the pillars and nuts and bolts of implementing this process. And basically, she attracted a very masculine provider man, and he wanted a family too. And They are now happily married, and she's a mother. So it's super important to understand that these are massive life changes that you're looking to create, and they are best done with intention, with experts supporting you, inside a container where there is a strategic, structured process that you can follow, that has led to hundreds and thousands of women attracting their masculine men. So you know you're getting into a proven container. Of expertise and support backed by results. And of course, inside ELEVATE, we don't just teach you theory. I think that is what makes the program so exclusive, so intimate. And we're permanently increasing the price of the program after this round. So make sure you check it out. The link is in the description below, and book your free consultation call with my team if ELEVATE is calling you. We are enrolling currently, but not for much longer. Now, The 5th one is, keep your heart open energetically to all the amazing possibilities out there for you. I think once you have had negative experiences in relationships, it's very human, it's very natural to have your guard up, to always be afraid of making a mistake. And when this energy comes through in a woman, what happens is that she starts to look for problems in men. Like, I don't want to miss out on a red flag. I don't want to miss out on a warning sign. And when you date with that guarded energy, you actually end up attracting more men who will confirm your fears and confirm your red flags. So what you actually want to do is know your lessons, integrate your lessons, know how you have to show up differently, and then, long story short, follow the process we teach you inside ELEVATE, while keeping an open heart and trusting yourself, and knowing that amazing men exist, knowing that the world is full of possibilities, knowing that the universe loves you, it wants you to succeed, it wants you to be happy. And so you create and attract love from that open-hearted energy, and feminine magnetism versus that fearful, guarded energy of, I don't want to make a mistake. I don't want to get this wrong. Is there any warning sign that I am missing? And of course, I do get it. Easier said than done. Once bitten, twice shy. Never going to fall in love again. My invitation always to my clients is to really connect with your desires. Your desires are spiritual in nature. They're divine in nature. If your heart desires a loving family, a loving man, children, that beautiful home, garden. I really want you to know that you can have it, but it starts by you believing you can have it, and it starts by you keeping your heart open to love. And if you would like to be supported with opening your heart, embodying more positive, energetic beliefs to bring in The One, while also being supported with the exact effective strategy that actually works to help you attract a loving masculine man, I am so excited to hear from you. Make sure you book your free 30-minute consultation. With my team. Link in the description below. Lots of love.
