If He Does These 15 Things, He’s a Keeper

In this solo YouTube presentation, relationship coach Sami Wunder addresses high‑achieving women and outlines fifteen "green flags" that signal a healthy, long‑term dating partner. She frames each flag as a concrete behavior—ranging from consistent communication and emotional calm to generosity, accountability, and the ability to inspire the best in you. Throughout the list, she contrasts these positive signs with common red‑flag behaviors (e.g., stinginess, emotional volatility, or demanding constant happiness). The video repeatedly references her ELEVATE coaching program, citing its success with over 1,300 women, and ends with a call‑to‑action inviting viewers to like, subscribe, comment, and book a free strategy consultation. The tone is conversational, enthusiastic, and persuasive, aiming to empower viewers to recognize and attract partners who meet these criteria.

Green flags! How do you know you're dating the right guy? I have a green pencil, a green top, and I am so ready to talk about how healthy men behave in dating. Green flag #1: He is consistent. This is the biggest and the best sign a man can give you of his interest in you. There are no dramatic gaps, no dramatic silences. Everything moves at a nice, healthy pace. Every single week, he wants to see you. He stays in touch, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. But overall, there is a nice pace to his dating invitations, and the intimacy is slowly growing over time, which brings me to the 2nd Green Flag. I have my entire list here, so keep listening. You feel emotionally calm in his presence, not anxious. So many of you who have anxiety and choosing the Men With Sparks pattern, This is the biggest sign that you are finally breaking that unhealthy pattern. If you feel relaxed and peaceful with a man most of the time, then this is a healthy green flag that you are dating the right guy. Green flag number 3 is, he pursues you without you constantly having to become extremely mysterious, extremely unavailable. Of course, you want to live your life. Of course, you want to be independent, but you are not artificially creating an experience in order for him to pursue you. He pursues you because he likes you and because he wants to pursue you. Now, green flag number 4 that you're dating the right guy is when conflict brings the two of you closer, not further away. And this means that every once in a while, when there is a conflict, when there is a disagreement, you know, in ELEVATE, my clients say, woohoo, we had our first disagreement and it went really well! So if you have that vibe where you feel like when there is a disagreement or when there is a misunderstanding, you guys actually talk about it in a peaceful way, in a kind way, and you are able to find your ground again and use that conflict to get closer to each other. That's a really chef's kiss green sign. Now, green flag number 5, he genuinely celebrates your success. This is important because I work with high-achieving women, successful women, ambitious professional women, And girl, you cannot have a man who is not proud of your success. You know, my stance is that I would rather be a single, successful, happy woman than be with a man who is asking me to dim my light or become a less-than version of myself or feels intimidated by my success and my wealth. So it's super-duper important that a man is proud of your success and he's not intimidated by it. In fact, you really want the Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas vibe, where he's your biggest cheerleader. I know that it exists because I also have that with my husband. I mean, there is not an iota of jealousy or insecurity there. And I think so many smart, successful women don't look for this, but you should actively look for it, because I would rather you be by yourself than be with a man who's jealous of you, competitive with you, or intimidated by your success. So green flag number 5 is he really genuinely is happy for your success and proud of you. Now, green flag number 6 is, he's generous in spirit. So this is important because we've had a few clients in ELEVATE where they thought they were dating really high-net-worth men, highly successful men with wealth and money, but those men were not generous towards these women. They were pinching the pennies. They would take the woman out on a date and talk about the price of the Hold your breath. Ice cream. Wow, ice cream has become really expensive. Do not date this man. Date a man who is generous. Date a man who is abundant. And you will realize that sometimes a man will make more money than you and still be stingy, whereas sometimes he might make a little less than you, but he can be abundant in his spirit. And so it's really important to attract a man who is abundant in his spirit towards you, is generous towards you, because that stingy man, he doesn't change, and he makes your life miserable, and he pinches the pennies, and he uses all the money to buy himself nice gifts while telling you that the price of ice cream has increased. That's the Red Flag Guy. The Green Flag Guy is generous in spirit. Now, number 7 green flag that you're dating the right man is when you feel like you don't have to audition for love. You have a pimple? No problem! You are still sexy, hot, and desired. You are having a tiring day? Instead of not wanting to see you, he's like, Don't worry, I'll come over. We'll just have something on balcony and watch the sunset. So you don't have to perform for love. You don't feel like you have to constantly be on a happy high in order for the man to stay interested in you. I know so many high achievers I work with in ELEVATE feel this pressure to constantly be happy around a guy, because God forbid, if you're tired or have a mood or have a period that is bringing you down, Mr. will lose interest. So you don't feel like that. You don't feel like in order to be chosen and loved, you have to Now, green flag number 8— we're doing so well on the list— he is emotionally accountable. And this sounds small, but it's big. What does emotional accountability mean? It means when I hurt your feelings, I have the ability to say sorry. It means I take responsibility for my part in this equation. That's emotional accountability. And trust me, it's one of top green flags. If you have a man who can say, I hear you, I messed that up, I didn't deal with that right— good guy! We want to keep this one. He's a keeper. Number 9 green flag is, he protects your dignity. What does that mean? It means that even when he's upset with you, even when he's angry with you— and I know I have that with my husband— he will never humiliate you. He will never Call you names. He will never hit below the belt and be condescending about who you are and your worth, and like, you're like this and you're like that. He doesn't do labels, and that is really a great guy because he is keeping your sanctity alive, even when he's upset or frustrated with you. Now, number 10 green flag is, he has a sense of direction in his life. Now, this is not the same as being as ambitious as you are, because Believe it or not, inside ELEVATE, sometimes what we find, after helping 1,300+ women in the program attract healthy marriages and relationships, what we have found is that it's not always, he has to have more ambition than me. But of course, he has to be in his masculine energy, which means he has to have a sense of purpose and direction in his life. He needs to know where he's going, what his retirement plans are. He needs to be working towards a goal. It doesn't necessarily mean he has to push even harder than you or be bigger than you in his ambition. We often find that complementary energies work even better for our high-achieving clients. But it is important that he has a sense of planning and purpose in his life, because a man without a plan becomes a liability. Now, green flag number 11 is, he is curious about your inner world. A man who never wants to know how your day was, never asks you questions, never asks you what you like or dislike, Eh-eh, not a good idea. But a man who does that, a man who cares to know about your likes, preferences, that is a good guy. He's a keeper. So if your guy right now is interested in your inner world, interested in your fears, your desires, what you like, what you dislike, that is a really good sign that you are with the right person and this is going in the right direction. Now, the next green flag is That he brings novelty into your life. And by novelty, I mean he is putting in the effort to keep the relationship exciting. Again, when I work with high-achieving women, we are used to luxury, travels, the best experiences. And maybe this guy can give you those experiences financially, and he's putting in that effort, but some men can't. But he is doing his part in the equation. He is making that effort. He wants to see you happy. He He wants to impress you. He has that vibe. He wants to show you his hometown. He wants to show you his favorite game. He wants to show you his favorite restaurant. So he's putting in that effort and wants to impress you. That is a green flag. Now, the next green flag is that his actions are matching his words. I was putting this at the end of the video because only the smart women will stay till the end of the video. But if you're here, this This is one of the biggest green flags. Like, this is a man who is gold standard, because what is a man if he's not his word? And if you have a man in your life who does what he says he will do, that's a keeper. It's incredibly amazing and important to have a man you can trust, whose word you can trust. So if you have a guy in your life who is doing what he says and saying what he does, and when he doesn't, Follow-through, he takes responsibility. Chef's kiss! I like such men. I have such a man, and I want such a man for my community, for my ELEVATE clients, if you're working with us. And the next green flag, number 14, is he ensures that you feel seen, heard, and understood in a reasonable way in the relationship. Now, if you're in ELEVATE, you will notice that in the Love Success Framework, Pillar #6, we talk about understanding men. And one of the things we teach you there is that men are not as emotional creatures as women. Most healthy masculine men are actually operating more from logic and less from emotion. And sometimes our clients will tell us that, you know, I don't feel safe, heard, and understood because every time I start to tell him about my feelings, he's not really listening. And we have to watch out against this tendency for wanting to relate with men like we relate with women. Your girlfriend, or even us coaches inside ELEVATE, are very happy to hear all your feelings. But with a healthy masculine man, what you do want to feel is like he is trying, he is willing, but he's going to be willing to a certain point, and he's going to be willing based on the frequency of how much emotions you bring into the relationship. But it's a healthy sign if he's engaging with your feelings. But of course, you also have to take responsibility for your part in the equation, which is not over-dumping emotions and not over-dumping feelings on a masculine man. Because even a healthy man has his nervous system limits, where even a good man will stop listening to your feelings if you are overdoing feelings inside a relationship, because he is not used to relating with you like that. That's not how healthy men relate. And this is a big one in ELEVATE, Because so many times women will tell me, he's great, but I don't feel the depth of the connection. Well, you should be in ELEVATE because you need to understand how healthy, empowered men show love. And they don't always show love by talking about feelings endlessly, which is what we women want. So if your guy is trying in a healthy way, once a week, twice a week, to listen to your feelings, that's a good man. That's a green flag. And last but not the least, well done for making it to the end of the video. Make sure you give me a like and hit subscribe to my channel if this was useful. I really appreciate the love. Number 15 green flag is, he inspires the best in you. When you're around him, you feel like you can be yourself. When you're around him, you dream big. When you're around him, you feel free, happy, relaxed, optimistic. That's a green flag. That's the sign of being in a healthy connection with a healthy man.
