In this video Sami Wunder challenges the common impulse to text a man who suddenly pulls away, arguing that doing so undermines a feminine‑masculine polarity that should guide healthy relationships. She outlines two prevailing schools of thought: the "adult conversation" approach, which encourages immediate communication, and the polarity‑based approach, which advises women to stay in their feminine energy and let the masculine partner initiate. Wunder explains that a man’s lack of action is information about his current pull, not a personal slight, and that reacting from ego (by chasing or demanding explanations) shifts the woman into a masculine role. She recommends depersonalizing the withdrawal, reducing attachment, and, especially in early dating, refraining from any text. An exception is offered for more established connections: a single, brief, non‑pressuring text can be sent after a week of silence, illustrated by a client’s story where a brief outreach led to an apology, reconciliation, and eventual marriage. Throughout, Wunder emphasizes that the most passionate, emotionally connected relationships arise when the masculine partner chooses the feminine partner freely, invests, courts, and does his own inner work. The video concludes with a call to subscribe and support the channel.

If a man is pulling away from you, your instinct is going to point in the direction of sending a text. You're going to want to reconnect, ask for explanations, talk things out. But it is exactly at this moment that sending that text works against you. Now, I know there's a lot of advice on the internet about what to say and what to do when a man pulls away. And Truth be told, there are 2 schools of thought around this. The first school of thought is, just have an adult conversation about it. And the second school of thought is more polarity-based, right? So in the first school of thought, the idea is, if you're authentic, you have noticed that something went off, then just pick up the phone, call them, send them a text, and then figure it out. Here's why I don't subscribe to that school of thought. I think if you are always the one who's going to pick up the phone, send a text, sort things out, you're actually leaving Feminine Energy and you're going into Masculine Energy, and you are trying to be the one who is fixing, helping, explaining, sorting things out. And if you want that kind of a relationship with a man, no offense, but that's not the kind of relationship I have with my husband. That's not the kind of relationship my ELEVATE clients have with their partners. Because if you're carrying the Feminine Energy In the connection, you want the man to move towards you, even when he's creating a distance, even when he's creating that gap. The whole idea of understanding polarity-based connections, where you are the dominant feminine partner and he's carrying the dominant masculine energy, is understanding that the masculine moves towards the feminine when it feels the pull. And so I subscribe to the second school of thought, which is, hey, let's stop. I get the anxiety, I get the fears that are coming up. Everything was going well, he's not texted. What do you do next? And based on this second school of thought, which is more polarity-based, I am not going to go into rules and fears, but hopefully in this video, I can help you find a more feminine, relaxed perspective around what really is going on for a man when he pulls away. So here's the thing. Masculine embodied men express love, intention, commitment through the language of action, through the language of taking initiative towards you. So when a man pulls away, what is he telling you? He's not really using the language of words. He's not really using the language of communication. But if you slowed down enough and you were in your Feminine Energy, his actions are giving you information, or in this particular case, His lack of action is giving you information. And basically what this means is that for whatever reason, right now, he is not feeling the pull. Sometimes he could be feeling the pull, but he has his reasons for not taking action on that pull. And whatever his reasons may be, he is— if you slow down enough to register this information, Right now, in this moment of time, he's not moving towards you. Now, your ego is going to fight this. In fact, it's also going to fight me, and it's going to say things like, but we can't just let them go with however they want to behave. We can't let men do that to us. Or, what's wrong with him? Like, everything was going so well last week, and now this pulling back. And I really get all those feelings, but it's still your ego talking because you're trying to force a connection where the Masculine is not organically flowing towards you. So what do you do in this situation? I think the most healing thing for me has to just be depersonalizing a man's withdrawal and pullback. It means nothing about you, and it means nothing about me when a man pulls back. And I personally only want to be with somebody that truly wants to be with me. And I want them to choose me out of their own free will, not because I forced an explanation, not because I contacted and said, hey, what's wrong? Let's solve this. And not because I made them feel obligated, like they owed me something. You see, the most powerful, sexually passionate, emotionally connected Masculine-Feminine polarity-based relationships emerge when the man, the Masculine, chooses the Feminine out of his own free will. And he invests, and he courts, and he does the inner work or inner processing to step above his fears or whatever his intimacy fears might be going on when the two of you are coming close. But he needs to do that work for himself. He needs to show up as an adult in this connection. And so my recommendation most of the times is to just let it go, especially if this is an early dating context. You let it go gracefully. You let the person have their own journey. You remove attachment, reduce attachment, and more than anything, it is important to depersonalize a man's actions. Now, of course, if this is a more established connection, if this is a situation where you've actually seen each other for a longer time— and I remember this story from one of my Elevate clients where she was dating her now amazing husband, Scott, for over 2 months, and she felt really loved, attracted, supported, emotionally connected. And And then suddenly he ghosted after the most incredible date. I think it was date 8 or date 9, and suddenly he ghosted. And so in that particular context, after she had not heard from him for like 7 days, I told her to send a small text saying, hey, I'm here. Let me know if you want to talk about something. And I told her, we're only sending this because you really trust in the connection. You really have built something. He's invested in you. He's taken you out on dates. Spent money on you, spent time with you. This is why we are sending this text to this man. And of course, that was the only one text I allowed her to send. And I said, if he doesn't respond to this, we're going to drop it here. We're going to leave it here. We're never going to chase a man. But that advice was given when a man with an established context withdrew. I would never give that advice to a woman who is in the early stages of bonding or in the early stages of dating and spending time with a guy. So as you can see, in Christian's case, Scott came back, deeply apologized, told her he got afraid, he had real feelings for her, she's wife material. Of course she is, because she's doing ELEVATE. And today they're happily married. So those cases can exist. But let's just say, if you're in a situation where a man is pulling away in early dating, we do not want to send that text. Because you want to hold that standard that you want the masculine to move towards you. And if the masculine If a masculine is not moving towards you for whatever reason, his kitten died, or he couldn't find his favorite ice cream at Ben& Jerry's, and so he's having a hard week, I don't care about the reasons. The only thing I care about is, I require, in a loving way, that a masculine man move towards me. And if he's not moving towards me, I'm not going to jump over Hoops, pick up the phone, send a text, figure things out, because that puts me in the masculine role. And if you're okay with being in that role, that kind of advice will work for you. But I don't want to be in that role, and I don't want a marriage like that. I still today cherish and adore that my husband comes to me, wants to make up, cares about how I feel. When he behaves like a jerk, he catches himself, processes, comes back. You know, I really appreciate that dynamic, and that's the dynamic I'm looking for. That's the dynamic my clients are looking for, and therefore this advice. If this was helpful and resonated, you know how to show me your love. It truly means the world to me. Subscribe to my channel, hit like, and I'll be back soon on the channel with the next video.
