Relationship Coach Reacts đź’” Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner Divorce

In this solo commentary, relationship and body‑language expert Sami Wunder discusses the recent divorce filing of singer Joe Jonas and actress Sophie Turner, focusing on the impact of their split on their two young daughters (a 3‑year‑old and a 14‑month‑old). Sami reviews the couple’s seemingly happy public history, notes the shock among fans who idolized their modern‑marriage image, and critiques recent media coverage that portrays Sophie as a party‑goer. He outlines emerging legal tensions, including Sophie’s lawsuit accusing Joe of withholding the children’s passports and the couple’s filing in Florida, a state that allows 50/50 custody. Sami warns the divorce could become messy if it stays in the public eye, urging both parties to keep proceedings private, prioritize the children’s welfare, and engage in direct, respectful co‑parenting communication. He frames his advice as a broader lesson for anyone navigating a breakup with children, emphasizing compassion, ego‑free dialogue, and shielding kids from parental conflict. The video ends with a call for viewers to share the message.

There is truly nothing more unfortunate than a marriage breaking down where small children are involved. Unfortunately, this is the reality right now for American singer Joe Jonas and his actress wife Sophie Turner, popularly called Queen of the North in the very famous and very successful television series The Game of Thrones. Now, Joe Jonas has filed for divorce from Sophie on the 5th of September, and this news has taken the whole celebrity world and media world by shock and surprise. In this video, let's talk about the couple's marriage, what we know so far about their divorce proceedings, and my top tip for how they should be navigating this delicate, painful, and tender space in their lives right now. This is dating and relationship coach Sami Wunder, and I'm so excited you're here and watching this with me. Now, when we look at Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's marriage, They seemed like a couple in love. When I look back at the 4 years of their history in the public eye, on public red carpet events, in front of the media, I mean, there were just literally no signs of things not being good behind the scenes. Every time, as a body language expert, you know, I have seen them be playful, be in love, touch each other, look at each other with affection and adoration. There was friendship, there was camaraderie, there was joy in the way they were sitting in each other's laps, in the way they were smiling for pictures. And of course, this explains why the whole media fraternity is so taken aback and also so saddened by their announcement of a divorce on September 5th. So basically what happened is that both Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner announced on their respective social media profiles that they were amicably ending their 4-year marriage. They requested the public for privacy during this time, and they shared that they were fully intending to be good parents to their 2 small daughters. Now, of course, there were millions of people who were sad about this news, not only because any divorce is sad and the breaking up of any marriage is sad where small children are involved, But also because I think so many people idolized this young couple because they represented modern-day values, they represented modern marriage, they represented achievement, fame, plus love, plus parenthood. And I think we're all living in a century where we want to see that that is possible for us, that it's possible to have it all. It's possible to, you know, be famous, Be high-earning, high-achieving, and be in love, and be good parents. And so I think this marriage collapsing was a heartbreak for millions of people around the world who wanted to find their idols in Sophie and Joe. However, I do believe, as a relationship coach, having worked with so many celebrity clients, that our celebrity idols are no less human than we are in their relationships. And so I have full compassion for this beautiful couple, And I have full empathy for the heartbreak and the pain that they're going through right now. And it did seem like this was going to be a friendly divorce. This was going to be an emotionally mature divorce that they were both going to handle well. However, some developments have happened over the last weeks that show me and show all of us that the divorce is ultimately not going down the track of amicability and definitely has the potential to become very messy and hostile, which is, of course, again, very unfortunate because 2 little children are involved. So the first signs of trouble was when I noticed that one of the big newspapers in the UK published photos of Sophie Turner partying at night with friends and having lots of shots. Now, I can totally understand as a woman myself that, you know, portraying a woman who's going through heartbreak, who's processing divorce, who is a mother of small children, and projecting her in this light is actually trying to slander her, and it's actually trying to create a public perception around her that she's a party animal and she is somebody who likes to drink a lot and probably is not going to be a very responsible mother. And so when I saw that piece of media news, I was already going, hmm, not a very nice thing to do, given that this is such a private affair, given that this is not how you play people against each other who are parents and, you know, where custody of the children is involved. And I do imagine that this kind of media intervention has deeply upset Sophie, and she has gone on to retaliate by suing Joe Jonas now, and basically saying that he is holding back the passports of the 2 little girls, and this is wrong, and she's suing him for it. Now, Joe Jonas's— thankfully, his legal team has gotten back and given the response that they would like to solve this privately with Sophie, that they would would like to make sure that the welfare of the kids is put in the forefront of the divorce proceedings. However, I do believe that the couple right now has to be very careful to not let this become a public sphere matter. I think the more that is written about them in the media, the more people give their opinions, the more people take sides. Like, literally today, I saw an article in the media that said, I'm on Sophie Turner's side, and There was another one, an American newspaper, that said, I am on Joe Jonas's side. And I was like, why are we getting involved in the private lives and the private decisions of 2 people who are already in pain and suffering and hurting? And are we really helping, or are we adding to the drama and adding to the pain and adding to the rumors and adding to the slander? And the more we add, to this drama through media, through public opinion, the more we start making this a game of ego. In other words, I can imagine that Sophie's emotions are hurt if she's being portrayed as a bad mother, and she is retaliating, and she wants to win this. She wants to prove that she is a good mother, and I honestly believe no mother should be ever put in that position. And I think, of course, Joe Jonas is going to find himself in a similar position where if they start fighting about the custody of the children, this is going to get really dirty and really messy. So my one big recommendation as a relationship expert is to not let this matter become a public debate. This is not up for public debate. I've worked with hundreds of celebrities by now, and I know that a celebrity's life is not their own. And so often, there are so many players involved, even in their private lives. It's their legal team, it's their PR team, it's their family, It's their friends. It's like, who's on whose side? There's gossip, there's rumors. But this is, I think, the time for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner to really take the reins and not let this get out of hand. And for them to come together and say, this is a private matter. We don't want anybody else involved in this. No media, no PR, and we're going to solve this together with our lawyers. So Really holding that intention of keeping this private, I think, is supremely important right now. And I think the second thing is really ensuring that those 2 little girls are not damaged from how the parents are going to behave. So we're talking really small children here. We're talking a 3-year-old girl and a 14-month-old baby girl. And these little children need both their parents. And I think this was one of the reasons why Joe Jonas filed for divorce in the state of Florida, because it does give the option to do 50% co-parenting, 50% custody for both mother and father, which of course is required and needed for a healthy upbringing. As a relationship coach, I'm always going to advocate that both parents are involved in the upbringing of their children. So I think the logic he's using there and the intention he has is a good intention. And I think it's also important now for Joe Jonas to make sure that there is no slander against Sophie. She is, after all, the mother of his children. And, you know, that they both come together, find a way to talk with each other, find a way to communicate with each other, find a way to address the hurt and the anger and the frustration and the sadness, and understand that if they have to co-parent these 2 little girls, then they have to be able to communicate with each other. They have to be able to not rely on third parties, not rely on media, not rely on anybody else but the two of them to resolve what they need to resolve in order to be good parents and show up for their children, not just now, but for the rest of the lives of these two little girls. So that's my hope, and that's my prayer for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, that they A) move to the private sphere with all communication, B) put at the forefront the well-being welfare of these 2 little girls and put emotion aside, put ego aside, put the hurt and bad feelings aside, which are an obvious byproduct of a divorce and a heartbroken relationship. However, it is so important that these 2 adults walk out of this divorce with the least amount of damage to these little girls. That is my prayer, that is my hope, and if you agree with this, then I would love your support to get this message to these 2 wonderful people by liking this video, leaving a comment below, making sure you subscribe to my channel, and more than anything, sharing it on social media and with your loved ones. I don't think this message is just for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. I think this message needs to be heard by thousands of others who are going through a breakup, who are going through a divorce, and how important it is to put negative emotions aside, to put ego aside, and to think of the future of the little children that are involved in these broken marriages, and to put their feelings, to put their welfare and their well-being at the forefront of how we behave and what decisions we take when it comes to the way we separate from our partners and proceed with divorce.
