When He Says He Can't Commit

In this solo YouTube video, dating coach Sami Wunder addresses women whose partners suddenly claim they are not ready to commit. She begins by describing the emotional shock such a statement can cause, using a client story from her Elevate program to illustrate the pain and confusion. Wunder argues that most women instinctively react with anger, blame, or desperation, which only reinforces the man's fear and confirms his decision to stay uncommitted. She proposes a counter‑intuitive, high‑value feminine response: a calm, single‑word "Okay," followed by disengagement. This reply signals self‑respect, detaches the woman from the man's narrative, and challenges his assumptions about her attachment. Wunder explains why the "Okay" works on multiple levels—maintaining personal attraction, respecting masculine choice, and preventing the woman from losing value through chasing or giving "girlfriend benefits" before commitment. She expands on common male commitment fears, noting that many men lack inner work, especially those who have not been married or have limited long‑term relationship experience. The video concludes with a call to action: women should walk away, use her Love Success Framework within the Elevate program, and consider enrolling in her 7‑Day Reactivating Your Feminine Magnetism course, which teaches feminine energy embodiment, boundaries, and communication.

Let's talk about what to say to a man when he says he is unsure about you and not ready to commit to you yet. Now, this can feel like such a tricky situation to be in because you've been spending all this time together, you have been hoping that he is going to commit to you, maybe he's even hinted at it, maybe he's even promised that, of course, I'm thinking about the future, but all of a sudden, out of the blue, maybe you guys are just having a walk, Maybe you visited his family. Maybe you went out partying and had a great night, had lots to drink, and suddenly he throws the bomb on you. I love you, I like you, but I'm not ready to commit to you right now. So recently, this happened to one of my Elevate clients, and it was so devastating to watch it happen because this guy had been really investing in her— his money, his effort, his time. All the signs were good, and then he said, I'm not ready to commit to you right now. not ready to commit. And of course, with my client, the way things went down weren't very pleasant because she wasn't ready for this situation. That's why I decided to make this video. So if you're in my community, you are ready like a Diva Pro to handle a situation like this. So the most important thing, first and foremost, is to feel the feelings that you will feel in a situation like this. So most likely, when a guy drops a nuclear bomb like this on you, your first feelings would be genuine Upset, anger, betrayal, disappointment, and all of those feelings, if you are not able to self-regulate and handle them, will make you act in ways that will work against you. In other words, so many times what I've seen is how a woman handles a situation like this can really change the response of the man towards her in the long term, which means if a woman is prepared for a situation like this and is able to handle This kind of shock gracefully, it actually works in her favor. But if she loses it, if she starts a fight about it, if she goes nuts on him, if she blames him, scolds him, cries about it, says things like, how could you do this to me? You can't do this to me, then it's going to work against her. And unfortunately, so many women do this. So when a man says to you, I'm not sure about you, most women, if they were to follow their emotions and they were to follow their instincts, They would do what actually works against them and against the commitment process in the long run. Because when you respond in these ways, when you respond with blame, shame, scolding, over-emotionality, at some level, you're confirming his fear. At some level, you are confirming to him that you're supremely attached, that you can't be without him, that you are— the kind of woman who will go nuts on him when he disappoints you. And so it doesn't work in your favor because you actually end up making him feel even more sure about his decision. So what do I tell my clients? How do I prepare my clients for a situation like this? Well, the most self-respecting Feminine Energy response you can give a man who's not sure about you is, Okay. That's it. That's the response. And there's nothing more to this response, and it's a very powerful response because— for a number of reasons. Let's explore why the okay is so powerful. The okay is so powerful because first and foremost, you demonstrate, okay, I am observing you. I also liked you. I would have also hoped this works out. But the way you're showing up right now, telling me that you're not sure about me, telling me that you don't want me, this already downgraded you. This already made me instantly lose attraction because I'm such a self-loving woman. I'm such a high-value woman. I am so in tune with my emotions and my feelings that if a man is not sure about me, I just lose attraction for him. There is no part within me that wants to Chase you, convince you, convince you how good we can be together, run after you, cry for you, beg you to change your mind, or even scold you, because it's kind of underneath me, it's kind of beneath me to be doing that to a big guy, to be doing that to a man who's a grown-up. And so the OK is so powerful because at many levels, it's going to challenge all his assumptions about you. If he thought you're super attached, Your okay will sound quite detached. If he expected that you would chase him because you love him so much and you're such a good girl and kind girl, and maybe those dynamics have been going on in the relationship, which made him unsure, and that's why you are at this stage in the first place, then saying okay is showing that actually he was wrong about you. You are not the woman who chases men. You're not the woman who's going to run after men. It's also really powerful for a woman to say okay because it shows Respect for the masculine. Like, if the man is telling me he's not sure about me, there's just no conversation to have there. I respect that choice. If you really respect somebody and they have made a decision about their relationship with you, their connection with you, all you can say is, okay. And if I were in this situation, I really hope none of my clients find themselves in this situation. And yet it happens all the time, even to the most amazing women. And sometimes it happens to the women who are very aware, Very in their feminine, and yet the men are not ready. So I wouldn't want any woman in my community to be blaming herself and thinking, oh, you know, I'm not feminine enough, or I couldn't get him to step up, or I did something wrong, so he's not inspired anymore. Don't do that to yourself. Don't turn against yourself. So often, these men are not ready for the real thing. These men, actually, if they haven't done their inner work of receiving a good woman, They get intimacy fears, they get commitment fears, they want to have the cake and eat it too, especially if you gave girlfriend benefits and he promised you marriage, he promised you the forever commitment, and then after sleeping with you, he started to have commitment fears. That's not a you thing, that's a him thing. And it's so important to not take that personally and make it about yourself. However, like I coach my clients, men are going to be what they are, and we have to play the dating game in a very smart and strategic way, which means— Which means you don't ideally want to give girlfriend benefits to a man who hasn't fully committed. And I know a lot of women, they hear these concepts, they nod their head, they say yes to rotational dating, yes to not being the girlfriend. And yet, when you like a man, emotions take over, you get weak in your knees, and you give in. And a lot of the times, these are men who are running high on intensity relationships, which means they really do like you in the moment, but they just like you in the moment. They're not ready for the big thing. And it often happens with men who've never been married, never been in a long-term relationship, aren't fathers, late in their 40s, in their early 50s. Now, of course, we are generalizing here. There's always going to be exceptions to the rule. There's always going to be those men who are doing the work and who have gained the awareness that they actually do want to create something intentional, and they're willing to face their fears and be courageous enough to commit and fully choose a woman. But long story short, if a man is unsure about you, that is That is not a conversation you should be going deeper into. That is not a conversation you should be having, because honestly, it's a very insulting conversation. There is just no way out of that situation. If you're going to sit through that conversation and try to talk him out of it, or if you're going to sit through that conversation and scold him, if you're going to sit through that conversation and just be like, okay, I still love you— I mean, all of those options are going against you. And so I tell my clients, say okay, then pick up your purse and walk away. Pick up your purse and walk away and just don't be available energetically to engage with a man like that. There is just no relationship, no connection, no access that you should be giving as a woman to a man who says, I'm not sure about you, I'm not ready to commit, I'm not there yet. If he's not there yet, Just let him be where he is, and you move forward, and you use my Love Success Framework inside ELEVATE to attract a man who's ready to commit.
