You're helping them determine whether an error has been made by the tax assessor.
What we do is we actually look at that assessment notice. We know what it should be and we see what it is. If it's wrong, we will prepare a property tax review petition on their behalf at no charge. We send it back to them as a PDF. All they have to do is print it, sign it, and get it to the review board before they meet.
