Before buying a boat, plan for seasonal maintenance. Engines used over 50-60 hours yearly need oil changes, lower unit lubrication, and filter replacements each summer. Less-used boats can go two years between services.

What should they be ready to do from a maintenance perspective before buying a boat? Sure. Every summer, the, the 3 summers that we've had our boat, with that number, that higher number, you know, if you're over 50 or 60 hours, you should probably be doing oil change, lower unit lube, you know, filters, all of those things on your engine seasonally. Um, you know, if you're less than that, every other year is, is recommended.
