In this short tutorial, realtor Sander Scott demonstrates how to use the Leelanau County online Tax Parcel Viewer to discover who owns a property. He walks through accessing the viewer via a Google search, entering a parcel number, owner’s last name, or address, and selecting the correct result from a list of matches. He shows how to zoom into the parcel, view neighboring parcels, and open a detailed window that provides tax information, sale history, and the full legal description of the property. Scott notes that the site still lists an outdated mailing address for him, illustrating that the data may need occasional updates. He emphasizes that all this information is publicly available online, eliminating the need to visit township offices. The video serves as a practical guide for anyone wanting to research property ownership, tax details, or neighboring owners using the county’s public GIS tool.
