Eric Covert describes finding a small home in the Traverse City area that works for him and his dog, with none of the awkward attic spaces his current rental has. He appreciates that it's on the edge of town, away from the center.

It's a nice small home for a single guy by himself and a dog. You know, it's not big, it's not expansive. It doesn't have unnecessary rooms or sort of weirdly shaped kind of attic spaces like the place I'm currently renting. You can't really like live in. It's like they kind of shoehorned some kind of livable space into a weird attic. And then I just really love this kind of periphery where it's at.
