In a small town, neighbors wave, stop to chat, and help each other through snow and trouble. Tom's Market and a family gas station are gathering spots where people know each other. These everyday kindnesses feel rare compared to big-city life.

One of the things that's most pleasant here is that you almost— anytime you pass someone, whether they're walking or you're walking or you're in a car, right, they take the time to wave and say hi, sometimes say hi or stop and talk. It's not the hustle and bustle of big city where you got to get from point A to point B in such a hurry that you can't say hi to a neighbor. People say hi to neighbors and they help each other out. Yeah, you know, if someone's stuck in the snow, which could happen, you know, could happen up here on occasion, they help. You know, that's just, that's, you know, and you know the folks working at the Tom's Market in town, you know. Yeah. You know the folks that run your folks' old gas station, you know what I mean. Yeah. And it's, and you don't find that everywhere, and I think that's one of the unique things that I like so much myself.
