Sander Scott explains how boat wash stations installed by inland lake associations stop invasive species from spreading between waterways. Cleaning your hull, engine, and personal watercraft thoroughly before moving to a new lake makes the difference.
There's been a big push on a lot of inland lake associations to have those wash stations implemented for that reason. So you're not going from, you know, you may pick up some invasive species on one lake, you know, you're headed to a different lake the next day. That association obviously doesn't want those invasive species in their body of water. So they've implemented those wash stations so that you can really thoroughly clean the bottom of your boat, clean your engine off. You know, if it's a PWC, same thing, hose those off good, get them cleaned up.
