In padel, hesitating and reacting costs you more than picking the wrong shot. Sandy Farquharson explains why making a conscious choice, even if it's not perfect, lets you learn and improve faster than just hoping the ball works out.

I think where padel differs from a lot of other sports is there are so many choices that you could hit from a certain situation, and for me the most important thing is that they do choose. There's a clear intention, they make a shot choice, even if it's the wrong one. They, they are clear when they are choosing the shot to hit. Making a shot choice and making the wrong shot choice is better than making no shot choice at all and just following the ball and getting the ball back in play. Because even if you make it wrong, you can always reflect on that and say, oh, okay, next time on that ball I'll do something different, and therefore make a different choice.
