Democratizing AI for Everyone: Inside the Ruby.AI Platform

Robert Sacco founded Ruby.AI to bundle multiple AI tools into one platform with modules like IntelleChat, Personify, and Voice Lab. The company doesn't train on user data, supports anchored content, and donates over 10% of purchases to Selfless, a Web3 community voting project that launched in 2018 with early partner Tim Tebow.

Well, we're about to start.
Terry lovers, I love you.
Don't call an ambulance today.
No, I won't.
All right. Okay, guys, take our seats and get going.
We have just a few more speakers and I know you're going to want to hear about this AI application called Ruby AI. This is one of the coolest applications that I have used out of all of them. And I don't know how many of you know or have joined in. I do an AI training every single month, second Thursday of every month. And Ruby has taken all the tools that I've taught over the past year essentially, and put them all under one roof, which is pretty cool, and then some. So I'm going to introduce our speakers and you guys are going to love this. So our next speakers are the cutting edge of technology, bringing artificial intelligence within reach of businesses and individuals alike. First, let me introduce Robert Sacco. Robert, raise your hand.
Is it Sacco? Sacco. Okay. He's the visionary founder of Ruby AI. He created a groundbreaking platform that brings together all of the major AI models under one roof, making advanced AI technology more accessible and efficient for everyone. His mission is to democratize AI and allow businesses to leverage its immense power without the need for multiple subscriptions or complicated platforms. Joining him is my very good friend, Chris Booth, Ruby AIs. I. I just called you the lead trainer because you've been on so many of my trainings. You know, you've stood in for me and live presentations and done it. So I so appreciate that. He is an expert in helping businesses harness the full potential of this transformative platform. Chris works closely with Robert to define requirements which you like. I. Chris introduced me to this platform and it's very early stages and he's like, you gotta get on it, you gotta get on it. I'm like, but it doesn't do this. And he like, let me call Robert. Then he called Robert. He's like, it's there now. Okay, it's there now. So I just see you. Is my personal connection to Robert now. So together they'll be demonstrating how this incredible technology can improve efficiencies across sectors, business, finance, health and beyond. So get ready for. Actually I said an interactive mind blowing session, but it's not going to be interactive today, but it'll still be mind blowing.
Chris is here.
Chris always blows my mind. All right, let's give a warm welcome to Robert Sacco and Chris.
Down.
Down is up.
Down is up.
Hand in the microphone.
First of all, I just want to say I am so excited, guys. My story, I was getting involved in AI just learning because I like technology. I like to do things that are going to make my life easier. And as you're doing those things, it's amazing how God brings people into your life. And so I'm online looking at stuff, and someone's like, have you heard of this company? Started doing research all night, was looking at all these videos and everything. And I ended up getting connected with this company seven months ago. This is actually my seventh month, and this is the first time I physically have met this guy. I thought it was AI that was working with him. He is actually real. And the thing I like about him is not only is he smart, but he's down to earth and he likes to help people. And he has helped me not only become smarter, but helped me do so many different things. So I'm excited to share the stage with this amazing man right here. You're awesome.
Thank you so much.
It's incredible. So if you could have anybody in your company doing something that was like sex, selling or sharing or training, you couldn't find a better person than Chris to do that. So you can all utilize him because he's here, you can call on him and he'll be there for free.
All right, so let's just start a little bit about me. So my background actually is in advertising and marketing. I have owned an ad agency for over 30 years. But in 2018, we started a software development company. And in the process of doing that, it was all about how can you be more efficient than doing it the old way? And AI was obviously the first place that we went to. And it was amazing because we could replace a lot of the stuff that our junior devs were having to do. We could use AI to do a lot of that and get a fast start on it. Come to 2022, this thing was like, way better. Like, we were actually replacing people to use AI to do the coding because it would know it, it could ride it. We would just be able to use it for all kinds of quality assurance. It would find the bugs before we could have people go do it. And then in 2023, you all heard of this little thing called ChatGPT, and ChatGPT is actually what broke the ceiling so that the rest of the world could actually go out and do it. Because it allowed you to be able to talk to it, understand it, see it work, and not have all the back kind coding that you would have to do to do that. That actually was the breaker for us to come out and Say, okay is ready for us to go and create a product that we've been wanting to do for a while, which was about democratizing AI so everybody would have the access to it. People who didn't know how to use it would do it. And one of the things that I just was always seeing in our company that was going to happen to everybody else in the world is that if you don't understand how to use AI, AI is not going to replace you, but someone who learned how to do it well because you're just 10 to 20 times more efficient and businesses don't care how you learn something or how you do something, as long as it's done, it's done right and it's done faster than somebody else, then you're a higher priority. So that was the reason why we created Ruby. Ruby was really a way for us to take it, take all the complexities of AI that are out there, sum it down and make it super simple that anybody that didn't have any technical knowledge at all, like my 75 year old grandmother or my mom, who have hard time just getting mailed open, that they could actually go and use it to book their trips and go and do their cooking and do all kinds of crazy things that they would use it for. But then at the level like at advertising and marketing where this thing is just unbelievable what you can find and do with it today, how could you make it easy so that you didn't have to have a marketing degree? How can we go get you started with that? A couple of things that we wanted to make sure we did in the process of putting Ruby together was number one, we don't, I don't believe that just a one button push does it. Like you can go to a lot of places a day and you can go to a website, say oh, do that for me, boom. And you hit a button, it does this whole thing and there it, it's not there yet that it's just that easy. But AI does good stuff. But when you are involved with the AI, it does great stuff. And that's what we are going to talk about today. So Ruby's all about approachable AI. So think about approachable intelligence where you're not scared of it, you don't have to be worried about it. You can't go in and break something, you're not having to worry about what information you're giving because it's secure. All of the things that are scary about AI that you may have heard, it's going to replace you. The human is going to replace you from your jobs. It really isn't. And it's just a mindset of how you look at things. And I looked at a bunch of people when we were first talking about this and we started talking about the jobs and we started talking about what's going to replace people. And actually I just had a different point of view. My point of view is if I learn how to use AI, it's not going to replace me. I'm just going to be able to take in more clients, I can be more efficient, I'm going to use it to expand out, not be scared of. And it's just a mindset of how you look at AI and how you use that. That's going to be how you excel in this process. How many people know that AI is not going anywhere? It's here. And it's not just here to stay, it's here to infiltrate even more. It's going to just keep getting deeper and deeper and deeper into the point. Obviously, I think this is the year of regulatory that's going to start to come in and I'm all for that. By the way. I think regulations on what you can do with technology is a good thing when it can literally make you sound and look just like anybody else and do things like that. This is a good place for regulatory. However, it's also a place where you have to keep it to where you have your freedoms to go out and be creative. Ruby actually stands as an acronym. It stands for Relational Understanding Based Interaction. And what that means is that the more you get to use Ruby, the more she's going to get to understand you and you get to work together and it's a relationship that you're forming with the application and it's just makes it a lot easier as you start to go through it. And the last part of our tagline, it says approachable intelligence that works. And that's the other big part is there's a lot of people who have gone to ChatGPT and they get there and they say, oh, that's cool and all that, but I would never use that. I wouldn't be able to do that. And the reality is they just don't understand what it can do. And we're all about teaching, we're all about training, we're all about getting you intimately involved so you understand it. And Ruby does another thing for you. It's always looking for the best technology. If you can think about having everyone that's the genius that's done OpenAI's ChatGPT probably a company you probably haven't heard of is Anthropic Claude anthropological. I mean you start seeing all these companies, billions and billions and billions of dollars are running into these companies mid journey. Amazing. Luma AI. I mean you can find all these companies every day that are coming out and getting bigger and bigger. And what we've done at Ruby is we have all those people working for us. That's it. That's how I look at it. They're working for us because I know that Chat GPT has got some amazing things. I also know that Cloud 3 Sonnet will kill it in certain things. But I would have 40 different subscriptions when I'm done with if I really wanted the best of everything. And here's the thing. OpenAI is never going to invite Anthropic to bring Claude over into their environment. Right. Same way that Google's not going to say hey, come on over here Apple, let's join. That's never going to happen. But yet we can do that. And so that's where we came up with Ruby. So I'll talk through it a little bit. We actually have more than just the typical chat GPTs and all that stuff as well. We actually have four patent pending applications that are within Ruby. We'll go through a couple of those. One of them is called intellichat. That's the brains of Ruby and it's. I'll get into a minute. Personify. How many people have done advertising here so I can know how many people would have paid advertising agencies here.
How many people wouldn't like to do that? I, I own one so I know it's like expensive. I get the duty of charging you. All right. Personify is one of the that actually more agencies use this in our organizations than regular people do just because they can go and create Personas from their clients. If you go out and you create a bunch of content and it doesn't talk to the right person in the right way, it's just a waste of time. And so that's why agencies spend so much time making sure they get the messaging right, they get the target audience, the Persona right. And I'll show you how we can do that. Canvas plus is like our workbench. It's like that you can do everything right there. You don't have to go into five different places. And then closer is our AutoDM and auto lead generation and I'll talk about that. It actually releases at the end of October. So let's Talk about IntelleChat first. IntelleChat is incredible because we take all of the best of the LLMs that are out there in the world today. We bring in the ChatGPTs, both the 4.0, the 4.0 many. Now it's the 401 and we can upgrade these within, like, just a few hours. So when they release something new, it's in your hands. Claude 3:5, Cloud 3, open all the things that you could possibly imagine, Google, Gemini, you'll hear, hear them all. They're all here in one place. And what makes this incredible is that unlike if I was going to chat GBT and asking it a question, and then I go over to Claude, for Claude to know everything that I was talking about over there, I have to re. Give it all the context. So I have to go back in and teach it all about my conversation again. And so what we've done is we actually have taken them all together and pretend like we're all in this room together. And when I'm asking you something about this presentation, she's also hearing the same thing and she can answer and be part of the same thing. And you never have to leave that one conversation. So if I wanted to talk to Gemini, great. I love that. Hey, but I want Sonnet to weigh in and give me some information on that. And then I'm going to go to ChatGPT4, give me some of that. And then I'm going to go to Cohere because I want to search the web and pull that information in and out. Every single one of them knows that same conversation. I never have to leave it. Now I'll tell you where. I use it a lot in coding. So we'll go in and we'll start building some code and we'll start seeing how One of these LLMs will interpret something and then it'll go over and we can look at the other one. And we're just maybe even not even asking about looking at our specific code, but looking at how would you do something? And you start to see different points of view immediately, how they come in. You can do that in every aspect of your business. So I can say, hey, I want to make a marketing plan that's great. I'm going to run it here and I'm going to run it on ChatGPT and then I'm going to run it on Sonnet. And they might have a completely different point of view of how that's going to work. How many people know that AI is not perfect?
We've all experienced that. Right. And sometimes it makes some really good sounding stories. They look really and sound really good. That's got to be true. And it's just like completely out there. Right. It's Another thing that IntelleChat's great at is I can run it on this platform and I can run it on that platform, and within seconds I know if it's true or not. I can look at biases. I can do a lot of different Things. Just within IntelleChat, we also have vision built in. If anyone's been using vision, it's insane what you can do with this because you can upload an image and we were doing it with food the other day. So you can take like a picture of a food that you love. It'll go in and it'll pull the recipes, it'll tell you how to cook it, it will tell you all the nutritional benefits of everything just by looking at your picture. And it will do that with literally anything. How many financial people are here, business owners like the financials. You can actually load up your P and L and balance sheets and it'll actually start to look at stuff for you. But where we've seen it really be incredible is if you have a lot of SKUs and you're wanting to see how your sales are going off a bunch of SKUs, you can put it in there, within seconds, it can read all your SKUs and tell you, hey, you're maybe going down here, you're going up here. So just by putting in a picture, you can go and grab all that. And the last thing that we have is what we call anchoring. And anchoring is a way for you to bring in trusted content. Because we know there's a lot of stuff that AI does that either has a bias or is just making stuff up. And so if you're going to do something that you really want to know the truth to, you can load that up by a text document, you can put it in as a PDF file, or you can actually link it to a specific website where I know that that information is trusted or filtered for me. And then I can go and create all my content off of that. And I know that it's trusted and it takes literally seconds to do that. So I'm really big on IntelleChat because it just makes life so much easier without having multiple subscriptions. You get the world's best LLMs all in one place.
That's talking about. Yeah, okay.
So with IntelleChat, when you're talking to all of the. You said we're all, we're all in the same room, we're all having this conversation. I can talk to all the different people.
Right.
So like what about separate conversations? So I talked to this one months ago about this thing is, are they going to remember in a new conversation, even if it was still no.
So they're all based in conversations, just like you would in the chat conversation if you're in WhatsApp for instance.
Okay.
You can just have to bring back copy over though. You can cut and paste it right in. And now everyone's in that conversation.
Conversations they don't all remember.
Correct.
That particular conversation.
That's correct.
That's correct. Yeah. And you, but you can take this conversation. I could cut and paste it into this one. Now everyone knows this one. And so it's very simple.
Talk about modules.
Oh yeah.
What about the securitization of it?
Do you have like proprietary.
Information from your business? Is it Safe? Because like OpenAI obviously. Exactly. So. So we don't allow them to train on any of our stuff and they can't store it over there through the APIs. So your stuff is safe inside of our security. Then you control when you delete that. And so it's. When you hit delete, it removes it from our platform and you can do that immediately after or you can leave it up there whenever. But we don't train Ruby off of your information nor do we share that or allow any of our partners to do that. So that's a big, that's a big part. Let's talk about one more thing because I, I did miss one thing that was up is back. I was trying to go back.
Okay.
I thought, I thought it was going to go up. Okay. We also made it again, easy. We have modules, we have over 150 pre built, professionally written prompts for just about anything and everything you can think of. You want to do a marketing plan and you just don't know where to start. You can do a 90 day reverse engineer marketing plan. It's not going to be perfect for you, but it gives you a great place to start again. This isn't about one click, you're done. This is about you and AI coming and doing something much faster. It also will give you ideas that you hadn't thought of. One of the things that we fought for over a year when people saying, oh, AI just steals all the creativity away from people and that's. They just haven't used it, it opens up your mind in a thousand different places that you haven't even thought of going yet. And you'll find one that's just when I be the gold mine. So we have all these modules built in there. If you can do checkboxes, you can do radio buttons and you can type in one sentence, you're going to get incredible content, including social media content, whatever you're wanting to do. And all of this actually works incredibly well with Personify because what Personify does is within one click, you get to have 30 years of our experience of creating Personas in the ad agency world without actually having to know any of that. And so there's three ways you can create Personas. The first one is you can talk about your product and your service, or maybe your brand that you're wanting to have the voice for, you're wanting to create. The one thing that I just didn't like about AI at the very beginning was everyone would say, oh, just give it a tone and that's going to make it all better. Or give it up, you can put it like something and it's going to do that. But as an agency, that would never fly. That's not what an agency is going to do for you. Number one, I need to know the demographics, I want to know the psychographics, I want to know the pain points, I want to know the motivations, and I want to make sure that everything I write is actually going to be answering a pain point or a motivator to get them to engage. And if I'm not doing that, we're wasting our time trying to create content. And so the biggest part of that is that most people don't know how to go get these full values Personas to use. And that's where Personify is. With just one button of these ways, you can go and create incredible full value Personas. Now, how do you get these? Again? You can put in a little text treatment, but let's just say that you have a website that you really like. Maybe it's your competitor.
Maybe your competitor is doing really, really well. If they're doing really, really well. Sometimes the best thing in marketing is not to go and reinvent the wheel, but to find what's working and just go and duplicate. And so you go put in the URL of their website. And now everything that you write and you are starting to build in your Personas can actually be built exactly the way the writer was when they wrote to that website. So now if I love the way that they're doing marketing and voice and tones and the way that they're talking at Nike, I can actually go scrape their website and I can start to write my stuff with the same feel, tone and marketplace that they're in. I like to go on the social side because I think social influencers are just absolutely proven right. They didn't get to 8 million or 20 million or 80 million people because they had a gimmick to do it. The gimmick might have gotten to the first million, but they keep going and going. They had to have followers, they had to have some content. They have huge followings. What if your perfect audience was somebody that had 80 million of your perfect target audience? Wouldn't you like to reach those people? And wouldn't you like to be doing it where you know it's proven that it's going to work like they're on the right path? You can go in and put in an influencer into Personify. It'll go and scrape not what they posted, it's going to scrape what the comments are being about because that's what we care about. We care about the audience, not about what they posted. We want the comments. And then we can break those comments into positive and negative sentiments and we can really start to think about what we could do with that. And we're going to talk about that in closer here in just a second because it's going to be crazy what you can do. But if you have a great Persona that has the right motivations and the right pain points and you take that into IntelleChat with a single drop down, you can choose this. And everything that IntelleChat creates is now written specifically to hit those pain points and to hit those motivators. So now you know that your target is perfectly being addressed. When you're making your social media or your blogs or whatever else you're going to do to go out and do that. Okay, that's the brains part of Ruby, but.
And Personify is a unique feature of Ruby.
That's correct. Yeah. That's a patent fitted piece for us.
The creative side is what we call virtual studio. And this is where we take all the fun stuff that we used to do. So I not only did I have an ad agency, I also was a video production company. And so I have this like brain that's torn all the time. But I love the fact that we can do creative things. And what you can do with AI is just getting started. Started. This will be the year of video. What will happen. You'll be able to, you go in and create amazing things and sora comes out, you're going to hear a lot of crazy stuff that's going to happen. Runway is another one. And we're. What we do when we partner with these people, with these other companies is that we don't just run out to the first one that has something avatar. Everyone's probably seen an avatar and it's talking and it acts like it's moving and then the lip syncs are not on and it's just not there. It's just not there yet. And if I wouldn't use it for my company, I wouldn't want you to use it for your company because it's just going to hurt your brand instead of help your brand. Yes, you might get a lot of content, but that content makes you feel different than your brand should be. I just don't. I just don't want to do that. And then the other thing is that we know over the next two years there's going to be a lot that goes on in the world of AI companies are going to be acquiring that. You can see it already start. Canva just bought Leonardo AI, an image company. You're going to start seeing all these different combinations coming in and we love that. That just boosts up even more for what we can offer going through those. And we're seeing all this stuff happening in the world, but what we've done is that we've taken it to a whole new level with imagery. We brought four of the biggest world image engines in the world, and one of those being Mid Journey. Now when we started to talk about Ruby, we wanted to simplify it. And if you haven't been into Mid Journey, it starts like this. How many people have a Discord account?
2, 3, 4. How many people have a Facebook account? Like everybody has, right? And so Discord stand up. Three or four. That's how you have to start. And it's not easy, by the way, if you're not an 18 year old gamer, it's all new to you. They're talking servers and all this other stuff, right? So you have to start there and then you go to Mid Journey and you get a subscription and then you have to come back to Discord and then you have to connect it to the subscription and then you have to choose all their. Okay, I'll agree to all this stuff. And then you gotta find a channel that's all called Newbies. I don't want to be a newbie, but we're gonna start with the newbies. And in this channel you see every single thing that's being done by every single other person that's in that channel. You see this picture coming and this picture coming and this picture and pretty soon your pictures are like all over the place. You're trying to chase them down in this big channel. Now you still have to figure out then how to do the commands and then you have to figure out how to do the prompts. And then you have to go and figure out once they hit those pages, they have all these different options. And by the time you get down there you're like, I'm exhausted. I don't want to even do this anymore because you're still chasing your stuff down by the thread, just going over and over and over. And so we said we're going to fix that. And we brought him a journey to do something really simple. You put in a prompt, a text prompt we have pre built. All you do is choose like I want a portrait and it'll make you a beautiful portrait. You look at some complex stuff like what is up right here? It's just made in mid journey with a simple word prompt. And you can get incredible images. These images are royalty free and you can go and put them wherever you want. Beautiful stuff. But you also have Leonardo AI, we have SDXL stable diffusion, we also have Dall E3. So it's whatever it is that you're looking for, we have them. And in a couple of weeks we're going to bring out Flux, which is another one that's driving edge. So if you're looking for anything that's doing brochures or anything in your business, this is a place where you can get incredible product and it's just built right into there. So you just have everything together just off there though Voice Lab is insane. The fact that you can actually now have your voiceovers for your videos or whatever it is that you want to do. Corporate videos are so easy to do in Ruby, but you can do your own voiceover. So you have Intellechat writes a script, you have that brought into our Voice Lab. You can choose from over a thousand different voices. You'll find the one that's perfect for you. If you want that deep trader voice, you can go get that deep trader voice, you can go get any voice you want. You can do characters, you can do whatever and then you can take that and drop it right into Canvas plus the workbench and you can actually make your video right there. And it's incredible. You can also do speech to speech, you can also do clone. So if you want to have your voice. I use clone all the time. Even though I'm right there. Just, just because I can't do the perfect read every time. And it never messes up. So it will just do the read perfect every single time. There's lots of benefits to that. The days of me being the production company, paying four or five hundred dollars for someone to come in and read a script, I really didn't even get the way I wanted to because I wanted to get them out the door before another $500 hit. This is the perfect tool to replace that. Video lab. This is where you're going to see the biggest expansion in 2025. Luma is our first piece of video that comes in here. It does little five second clips. Now those five second clips, if you're a video person, I can take a five second clip, I can make it eight seconds and it's going to be incredible. But you can bring in an image that's a still photo and have it start to dolly around people. You can have it go up and down. You can have a jib arm done on the move. It's like, how does it do all that? And it just does it. And you have a five second clip and it's pretty incredible what you can do with it. But you can also create just crazy things. Tell it to go create something that you always thought would be cool and you'll know if it's cool or not. But Sora is definitely coming. That's the OpenAI's video and that'll be one that we'll definitely look to. As soon as they release the APIs, we'll push that in here. And then we have another one coming out called cling and that's another one that's running out. These are the places that you'll see big changes when Sora releases and you see what Runway is doing. Some of these names that you'll hear, these integrations will be our long term integrations. These are the ones that we're doing partnerships with, we're doing legal contracts with, we're making sure that we're part of their development. Because this is where we believe the future is going with those companies. And when you see things come into our company, they're not just thrown in there, they're thought out about who's going to be here the last and what are they going to offer. And you won't see that any more than you see with Ruby Music. How many people would love to be able to sing or make a metal like Incredible music, right? Like there's only 1% of the world that's ever going to be able to go do all that. And the 99 of us is okay. That communication is not in. And what we have done here with Ruby Music is it opens up another way for people to communicate. It's incredible. If you can think about some things, get a little cheesy, I'll promise you that we've had some stuff where like people like, I'm gonna rewrite the vows to my end wedding or whatever, you can do some real cheesy stuff if you want, but there's some really good stuff. We have people who are on Spotify, on Apple Music, we have someone right here in this area that has taken all the old gospel hymns and has put a new spin on them, made them current and he's done it all inside of Ruby Music. And Ruby Music allows you to do two things. One, if you want great instrumentals, not only do we give you the instrumentals, you choose a genre, you choose a style and you hit create, you can choose a key that you want it in. So if you're going to put the vocals over the top of it, you can put it in your key. If you want to have a certain tempo to match something you put in a certain tempo. And what's incredible about this is that this is what we call fairly trained AI and this is where the future is going with everything. This means that we didn't use copyrighted material to go out and to train the AI. We actually are using music theory and paid artists to come in for their time so that when you're actually using this and building it, it's actually yours. It's not based on anybody else. And so you see some of these things out there today, like maybe Suno is one of the companies you'll hear about and you see all these lawsuits already flying. Like the one industry you don't want to mess with is the music one. Like you can do a lot of stuff in the video world and you probably get a little bit, you mess with the music, it's game over. And you see everybody already suing them for, well, that sounds just like me. And this is the same beat as that. And so with Ruby Music we don't have to worry about that. We, we truly have our own stuff that we own and you can go create it. And the best part is that if you're an artist, and again this the 1 percenters, but they have an artist, you can save tens of thousands of dollars because when you create all your music right here, it can be brought into any studio and it can be imported into any of the big Ableton or any of the pro tools, and it literally will pull out everything, and they can mix and match it and lay their vocals over it just if they had those musicians in the studio actually doing it. And so this is a huge way for artists to get more stuff out. And you're starting to see a lot more people use this because they can turn out stuff a lot faster. And so that goes into that part. And then we bring in Canvas. Canvas is our editing system that allows you to create both the video and audio. So if you go into Ruby Music and you make this incredible, how many people have seen the frequency stuff like the solfeggio frequency, familiar with that. So we have all those built into the music, by the way. You can go in and make new ones all the time, but then you put your affirmations over the top of them, and you're just going through that whole process. You can do all that right here in Canvas. Have the affirmations written inside of IntelleChat, had the voice lab actually voice over them, put them, make your music bed inside of there, and then lay it all inside of Canvas and then render it and you're done. You got your own piece of music that you just created, and it's ready to go to wherever you want to go, including if you want to take this out and sell it, because it's commercially available to you, because it's fairly trained, so you guys can go out and sell that, make your own stuff. And that's what's incredible is you see people who have maybe written poems. We have a girl named Catherine Donovan that she's had tons and tons and tons of poems that have been written for 20 years, and now she's just making incredible songs. They're, like all over the place. And, like, people are commenting on. I didn't know of you, but you're like, incredible. And she's not. It's just a new way of expressing herself. And this. It's pretty awesome. So what we do with this is we make it super cheap, too. So part of democratizing AI is to make it affordable for everyone. And so there are a couple pet peeves that I hated about subscriptions. How many people hate things like, oh, if you don't use them, you lose them, right? Oh, you have to restart next month, you get new ones coming in. And I hated that because some months you use a lot, some months you don't and so we don't do that. We actually carry over unused words or credits. We use words and credits just because we want you to use it where you want it. And what we do is we make sure everything that you just talked about is in every one of our subscriptions. You don't have to buy the top one to get all that stuff. It's in everyone. And then you choose the words in the credits that fit how much usage you are going to use, and then you use them where you want. And so that's the way we call it. A freedom subscription. So you can do whatever it is that you want to do.
All right.
I think that is it. I do have one thing. So one of the things that I have done over the last five years is actually, for the last 12 years, every business I've started or been a part of, I'm pushing social entrepreneurship. And I believe that the world's biggest problems can't be solved by giving, but only through consumption can you actually do that. The one thing that humans never quit doing is consuming. And so in 2018, I was actually getting ready to watch a skincare line. Don't ask me why, but we started down this process, and we wanted to find a great social entrepreneurship partner. And I had never really been big on human trafficking. I hadn't really heard that much about it. But we went down to Dallas and we had just met with this group called the Deliver Fund. And it took us forever to get the meeting. We finally got into the meeting, and the day that we were in there, they brought in three little kids that had just been rescued, and it literally wrecked me. I have four kids, and when you see things I say, some things you can't unsee, some things you can never unhear, and they just. They get you to the core. And at that point in time, you just feel like you have to do something. And so that was where selfless started for me. And so in 2018, we started building the Selfless brand. The first thing you'll see is that it only has one S because it's also. If you look in the mirror, it's the same. Either way, it's a paladron. Because really, if you want to change something, it starts with the person in the mirror. And so that's why the brand is the way it is. But what this is all about for me is to create a sustainable way of giving money to fight this unbelievable atrocity that's out there today. What we started to do in 2018, we started looking for our frontline charities and our partners that we could partner with. And we started vetting them all. So we have a vetting process that goes through this to say who can we give money to? And number one, we don't decide. Everything in this is a web3. So you have tokens and if you hold a token, you get to vote every month where the money goes, it comes in. We give over 10% of everything that's purchased here to sell us, but we also have five other partners that are also doing that. And so that's coming in every way. But we're also doing partnerships. And I believe that you can't also solve the world's biggest problems by A501C3 we believe that people need to make money. If you want an investor to stay investing in your company and stay going, then they need to be able to make money. So we have an investment side that people can make money in. We have a community side that also has to have value. A community can't just be there for a cause. Unfortunately, they still are looking out for themselves. And so we have a community that is like partnering with like Quick Trip or Philip 66, where if you go and use the gas card before you actually get your card, they're going to give 10 cents to us for every gallon, they're giving you a 10 cent savings. So as a community, you're winning, but when you're winning, we're winning. And that's how we can go about and keep giving, sustainable giving. Because it didn't stop that charity to go and raise money. They spend 80% of their time raising money.
They can't solve the world's biggest problem for raising money all the time. And they're waiting for people to give and it's just harder to do it that way. And so what we've done is we've created so that everything that's purchased inside of here, not just with our companies, they're giving, but everything that's purchased inside of our community is also being given into this. And it just creates a way for dao, which is the way that you would vote. Where all this goes. You just go in every month. If you're holding the token, you'll get a text, hey, which way do you want to vote? You choose which charities are yours, you put it in there. And then we break all those into percentages and that's where the money goes. It's all open, transparent. And that's the beauty of blockchain with Web3 is that it never has to Be something with us and we don't have to decide. And I also believe that competition drives excellence. And so when you have charities that are actually having to come in and communicate to the community to get that money, it's great. And so I know that our very first one that we've got scheduled coming in December is with Tim Tebow. And so that's going to be the first one we're going into. But there's just a lot of these amazing charities that if they didn't have to stop to raise money and you didn't have to stop doing what you're doing to actually care or be a part of it, you don't even have to care or be thinking about it to actually be contributing. That's when the world can actually start to catch up to something as big as this. This is my passion project and it's about everything that we do. We'll be launching Selfless in the next probably 30 days and everybody can be a part of that. And so we're excited about that part.
So how about Closer?
That's coming up. The last one I'm over. Am I okay?
Yeah. All right.
All right. So let me tell you about Closer. So Closers are coming out. It's one of our four patent pending applications. How many people would love to have that influencer, that group of people that they talk to, that 80 million people at your fingertips? So this is what Closer does. I started explaining to you a little bit before. If you would come into Closer and you would attach your social media account, let's say you attach your Instagram and you have this influencer that is just really hitting your target audience. What you're going to do is you're going to enable us to go out and scrape that group of commenters again. We don't care what that person's saying. We care about what the comments are about it. And I'll use an example of, I always use this one because it was easy. But a greens product, okay, let's just say, like athletic greens. I have a competitive product to athletic greens and I actually want to start to push it. I do know that I can go directly to a market that is already buying that product. So I could go scrape athletic greens. And when I bring in 500 comments, I'm going to have some that are negative. I don't like the flavor or it spilled or it broke or whatever. Right. There's always some negatives in there and then there's the positives that they love. So what Closer does is it actually tells Ruby to go ahead and respond for you specifically off of whatever it was. So if they didn't like the flavor, Ruby's going to automatically DM them back from your account for you. And it's going to say something like, hey, I understand you didn't like the flavor. However, I found one that's really great in my. Try it. Here's a link to my page. And that's all that you have to do. And they will start flaming you into that funnel for whatever the product is that you're wanting to do. If it's a positive comment, Ruby's gonna write something back to them like, hey, I love that too. You should check out some other stuff that we have going on. And it might be an educational piece, not even pitching them. I might just put them in an educational piece and run them to a blog and then put them into my funnel down that path. Right. But it's about you going out, finding that specific audience that you're going to get to and auto dming them. And so what we can do is you can attach up to seven different social media platforms. Now you can only do three per hour. Okay? So you want to stay underneath the spam and you want to just keep your account solid. So we only allow you to do three per hour, but that's three per hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, forever, that you can go do that. So think about how your business could grow. And if you were just actually finding someone who actually wanted a product and they could not find it because you didn't get to them, this is a way that you can start to get into them. And this thing will just be automatic when Ruby can write specifically to whatever their pain point is. I love the negative comments. Like, the negative comments are like the winner for me. Right? So go find all those negative comments and just let them go. Just let Ruby just go in and start hitting him. Because number one, it already knows the demographic personify is attached to Closer. So I've already got that Persona. That's how we found the right person to go after. You don't decide what your influencer is. We actually attach a Persona to Closer. Closer goes and finds it on that network that you attach and we start going down that one and then we'll go find another one. We'll go down this one and we'll just keep going down until we can find more and more and more. You'll never run out of people on social media. That's just, that's the beauty you'll never run out of them. But if he closes one of these a day for you, how's that going to change your world if it's just bringing you leads of someone? What? Tell me more about costs. You literally like nothing to get able to do that. And I think you're going to be amazed at what can happen when you speak to the right person who wants what you have in a way that they want to be hearing it because they already told you what the problem was and you just became the solution and it just dropped out of heaven to him. Right. That's the best part about it. This is coming at the end of October. It's going to be an incredible bolt on to Ruby and I think it's going to be amazing. Anything else I forgot? All right, thank you all for having us time. This was fun.
Robert, thank you. What you don't know, I don't think he shared is that he literally just walked in the door, drove from Tulsa in the rain, was Tulsa to be up here on the stage. So thank you for that. If you guys are interested in Ruby and learning more about it, the AI training that I do, that's free via Zoom, second Thursday of every month. I've got a handout right here, or you can scan the QR code. Just join us. It doesn't cost you anything. I'll see if I can get Chris on the next session and we can dive more into it and do a little training with you. All right, we're almost done. We've got just a few more, but we're going to take one more break after Vanessa comes up and shares her book. And then I'm going to share with you that Vanessa's book you're going to definitely want to hear about. And then we've got John Nicely, who produced that video of Tom Hill that you saw at the beginning of the day. And then we've got my favorite firecracker over here, Dr. Eddie Weller, to close out the day. So if you're sitting here feeling like, oh, my gosh, my energy is just depleted, this man is going to fire you right back up. So you'll be ready for a good happy hour, a good meal and some good networking. All right, Vanessa, you ready?
Yes.
All right, our next speaker is on a mission to empower individuals, especially young adults. I love that, by the way. To achieve financial freedom. Vanessa Mills is not only an entrepreneur and a real estate investor, but she's also the author of the inspiring book, it's brand new. Be Free A Simple and effective guide to achieving financial independence. And they do not teach money in school.
They totally should.
I know. After intentionally building her own wealth and retiring at the age of 51, Vanessa decided to share the wisdom and steps that allowed her to design a life of financial independence and personal fulfillment. Her new book is a powerful roadmap for anyone who wants to take control of their financial destiny, live intentionally and build a life that is not just financially free, but also rich in purpose and joy. Vanessa's journey is a testament to the power of planning, perseverance and living with purpose. She has been very generous and you all have. A free copy of the book was left on the tables for you. So thank you for that. I'm going to turn it over to you and I'll get your presentation. Sounds great. Okay.
So everybody stand up because it's mid afternoon. We have to shake us out. We have to be awake. Come on, wake up. Come on, shake it out. Shake your arms. I don't sit arms shaking. There you go.
That's a little better.
A little better.
Shake it out.
I know this is for me, too. This is to help loosen me up to and giving Sandy time. Thank you.
I appreciate that. I know exactly what you're doing over there.
It's all good. It's all good.
Okay.
All right. Does that feel better? We feel a little looser. We're able to focus now.
So I met Tom in 2017 and I met him through a friend. We had a quick phone call and he said, hey, I'm doing a summit next week. Why don't you come? So what do you do? You go. Right. So I met him and he told me what he probably told a lot of you. You have to write a book. I did. Now I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't know what topic I was going to talk about. I didn't know the first thing about it. I didn't know how to write it, how to edit it, how to publish it. So Tom does what Tom does. Well, he introduced me to Nancy because Nancy knows those things. So he introduced me to Nancy and she was very kind, helped me through the whole process and got me going and how to tell my story. And so I started my story. So my story began in 1991. I was 23 years old, newly married. About a year we, my husband and I moved from North Carolina to Wisconsin where we were completely broke. So we lived with my grandparents. Isn't that wonderful? It's a true testament of young. So we were young and we were had aspirations of owning our own home. We were totally broke. We had $638 a month income, and we went to start looking for homes. Nobody would give us a house. They're like, yeah, you're not a good risk. You're not getting loan from us. So we had two cars, and the nice gentleman at the bank said, if you buy a duplex and you live in half of it, the other half you can claim as income. So I'm like, okay. He said, that'll help your numbers a little bit. Like, all right. So we started looking for houses, and we found a duplex. And the gentleman who owned it, it was for sale by owner, and he wanted one of our cars. He said, I've always wanted that 65 Mustang you have. Can we have that? I said, sure. I get a house. You get this for part of your down payment. So we worked out a deal that wasn't 20% down. It was much less than 20% down. So the bank said, we'll give you a loan anyway for some PMI insurance. Like, all right. So we figured it out. So now he had this house. We have one car, one little beater car, and we have an Alaskan malamute. £200. Pretty sure it ate more than I did. And, oh, I was in school, so I was still going to school at that time, and I was pregnant. But we were instant landlords. Picture of our very first duplex. So as I started telling my story to Nancy, we had as well. How did I get from here to being financially independent at age 51 and retiring early? Because everybody at work always said, oh, my gosh, I want to be you. I'm like, I don't know. I was pretty broke. I don't think you want to be me necessarily. So I started putting together what was my path from there to up here with all of you. That's what my book is about. So the first step is to lead an intentional life, to really be conscious about what you want to be, who you want to be, what you want in life. Things that Tom has talked about forever. So I started doing that, and at the time, I was like, I want $76,000 a year. If I could make that, I would be golden. Be a thousand dollars a week. Remember, I was making $638 a month at this time. So I'm like, I would never need anything again. So your goals can be whatever you are in that phase of life. Right? They don't have to be. Be huge, but everybody should have them. So then the second Part of the book is about continually learning. So you never stop. You should always learn regardless of the age. So at the time, I worked for a corporate 100 company, Humana, and I was in their IT department. I'm very jazzed about that Ruby AI, by the way. I almost wasn't nervous, I was so excited.
So as I was learning through Humana, it occurred to me that your employer really has a huge vested interest in making you smart, making you good at your job, giving you skills, giving you the things you need to be successful. So I capitalized on all of that and I rose very quickly through Humana and I learned a lot and I was able to really grow and continue that growth, that human there. So I loved working there. Has anybody ever heard of, like, mailbox money and your side hustle, how you win in the margins? So that's what we talk about here. Because day jobs are great, they pay the bills, but they will seldom make you financially independent. They might get you a good nest egg, they might give you a good 401k, they might give you a lot of opportunities, but you really need something that's going to be perpetual, something that's going to continue that wealth long after your corporate job is gone. So we talk about different options there.
So my book, that's the gist of it. I would encourage everybody to take your copy and give it to a young person. Feel free to read it first. But my goal really is to send that mission out and to help others carve off a few years, maybe a decade, whatever golden nugget they can get out of it. But it's interesting. So now you have the whole book in a nutshell. And I didn't publish it for almost two years because I was scared. I was like, holy crap, if I do this, people are going to read about it and they're going to ask me to speak and they're going to know about my finances. And I'm like, oh, the fierce struck me and I just could not push that button to save my soul. So then I started thinking about it and I thought, I have some old beliefs that I need to get rid of. Yeah. One of my old beliefs is I was always told, like, some of you may have been that money is the root of all evil. So if I tell people that I'm now financially independent, will he think differently of me? What will he think? Well, they think, oh, my gosh, she has so much money, she should pick up that tab every week. Or who knows what they're gonna think? And I Also had a belief that you shouldn't talk about money. It's a personal item. Don't talk about that because they might be jealous or they might want you to do this or I don't know. That's just what I was always taught. Anybody else ever hear any of these things? May I hear you?
So I had to change some of that. So the first thing I got rid of, the money is the root of all evil. Because you hear Tom and you hear others talk about how it's not what it's not. The money is the root of all evil. It's how you use your talents and how you use your money. That's what defines you. So it's the things you do every day and how you impact others and how you can contribute and how you volunteer and lead missions and invest wisely. And all the things that we've heard here, it's making a difference in those causes. So I was like, okay, that belief is coming. And then I had the old belief, don't talk about money. And I heard a gentleman, and I wish I could remember his name, where he said, when you talk about money, you're really educating others, right? You're helping them see to see it differently. You're helping them understand what works, what doesn't work, what could work, what worked for them, what didn't work for them. So I thought, I'm going to encourage people to talk about money. And I started asking questions about how people made money, what they did, what their margins looked like, why they did it a certain way, and it's really interesting. So I decided to get rid of that old belief too. So now I have some new beliefs. So I think you should that how you use your talents and how you use your money is what defines you. And I believe that you should share information freely. That includes telling stories about your money. So we're going to do a little exercise. I'm going to give you a couple minutes, and I want you to think about two things. One time that a financial situation did not work for you. It can be small, it can be large, it can be anything you want. And the second one is a financial success, something that you're like, oh, this really worked good. I'm going to remember to do this again. So take a couple minutes, write them down, and then we're going to share those. So we're going to break up into small groups and we're going to share.
And I can't wait to learn from you.
