Do you have the RIGHT pages on your website for the BEST possible search rankings?

Sandy Wardenburg Waggett explains why you need separate service pages for each offering, not one catch-all page. Google ranks specific pages higher, and adding an FAQs section helps too because it answers what people actually search for.

Hey everyone, Sandy Weigt here with MSW Interactive Designs.
And today I'm here with another marketing tip.
You know, as a web design company.
One of the questions that we get.
When a new client starts working with.
Us is what pages do I really.
Need on my website? And you know, despite the obvious, the.
Homepage and you know, probably a page about us, about your company, what I.
Like to do is have a business.
Go through and ask themselves, okay, what services do I provide?
And you want to go through the answers to that question at a really granular level. And this will help you clarify what pages you need on your website.
The reason for this is because the.
More granular you can get at the service level, the better off you're going.
To be with when it comes to.
Your organic search engine rankings.
Because you want to divide your services very specifically onto separate pages around topics or services that you want to rank for in Google. So let's just say you are an.
Electrician and you want to break out.
What services you provide.
So for example, do you work on docks? Do you wire new homes? Do you install fixtures?
Do you do electrical upgrades? Do you do outdoor landscape lighting?
Will you do electrical for pools?
Do you do under cabinet lighting?
Do you install generators?
When you're thinking at that level of granularity?
Because this is how people search, you.
Can define pages on your website where you can create very specific content around.
Things that people are searching for that solves a specific problem.
Solving someone who's looking for help installing.
A generator is going to be very.
Different in the way they search than.
Someone looking for assistance getting under cabinet lighting installed versus someone who is building a new home and needs to find.
An electrical contractor to get that going for them.
So depending on the services that you.
Provide, you want to have a separate.
Page on your website around a specific.
Topic area that you want to rank.
For or get found on in Google.
Or other search engines.
So I hope this exercise helps you.
And if you're thinking about your current.
Website and you have five or six.
Different service offerings with whatever you do and they're all glommed onto one page, consider breaking those out into separate pages. You will rank better in local search for those services when you break them out.
And then the last tip I have.
Around what pages you have is to build an FAQS page.
The reason why is because Google is.
In the business of returning answers to people's questions. Google absolutely loves good FAQs pages.
So now if you don't have an.
FAQS page on your website, consider adding one.
It will help your organic search engine rankings big time.
Sandy Weigt with MSW Interactive Designs. I hope this tip helped.
Have a great day.
