Sandy Waggett says speakers and business owners should lead with "I feel" instead of "I think." It signals passion and impact. Try it: "I feel very passionate about what we do" lands harder than the thinking version.

Good morning, everyone. Sandy Waggett here with MSW Interactive Designs. And I'm here with another marketing tip. Today it's going to be a little more personal, but hang in there because there's a point. So when you talk about what's going on in your world, do you tend to say I think, or do you tend to say I feel? If you're like me, I usually say I think, I think followed by something else instead of I feel. It's a much safer and easier answer. I would encourage you to change the script, though, and I'll give you an example when it comes to business. So if someone asked me about MSW Interactive Designs and how I feel about it, my natural reaction would be to say something like, you know, I think we do a really good job for our clients. I think we do a good job for our clients, as opposed to leading the sentence with the words I feel. It's a totally different answer, and it's actually the more meaningful answer. I feel very passionate about what we do at MSW Interactive Designs because I feel like it makes an impact on the lives of our clients and our client businesses. It's so much more powerful than I think we do a good job for our clients. Instead, it's I feel passion. If you take that to your own business products and services and think about how you can apply the words I feel lead with I feel instead of I think, you'll come up with a completely different and far more powerful message for your business. It's that simple, but it's actually kind of hard. Give it a try. Sandy Waggett, MSW Interactive Design, signing off. Have a great day.
