HERE'S A SIMPLE 5-EMAIL NURTURING FUNNEL FOR YOUR BUSINESS

A short marketing tutorial (YouTube transcript) by Sandy Wardenburg Waggett describing a simple automated 5-email nurturing funnel to follow up with website lead-magnet downloads. It outlines five sequential emails: a thank-you, a follow-up with FAQs and a soft ask, a differentiation/success-story message, a roadmap of working together, and a final hard ask with an urgency element.

Good morning everyone. Sandy Weigt here with MSW Interactive Designs. And today I'm here with another marketing tip. So in the past I have talked about adding a lead magnet to your website so that if someone comes to your website and decides not to do business right away, which most people will, then they have something that they can download that's of value in exchange for an email address. And then that email address becomes an asset to your business because you can then follow up with a nurturing campaign and nurture that person into the relationship and the action that you ultimately want them to take. Where people get stuck is then creating that follow on email series. So I'm going to give you five sample emails that you can create that will shoot off in the series with an automation and basically work for your business while you sleep. So let's get started. Email number one. So they've downloaded your lead magnet. So email number one shows up in their inbox either, you know, shortly after the next day. And it says, hey, thank you for downloading xyz. We understand your problem. We know it's hard, we've been through it. So thanks for downloading it. We really hope it helps. You don't even need to make an ask at that point. It is just quickly a thank you for downloading. Okay, so email number two. Now it says, did you have a chance to actually read the download? Boy, we sure hope so. Here's a few common questions that other people have asked that have downloaded it and gone through the process. So you're providing something additional of value at that point you're reminding them to go read it if they haven't yet. And then you just make a soft ash. You say, hey look, we're here, we get it. Reach out, very soft ask. And that's it. Leave it alone. Now, a few days later, a week later at the max. Email number three. So what makes our solution service product XYZ different than somebody else's service solution to your problem xyz. And here is a success story or two. Not too much. Short, sweet, easy. Here's what makes it different and here's why. This will work when others have not. And then you make a soft ask. That's it. Email number four. So if you were to try our solution product service to solve your problem, what would you expect to happen? Or what can you expect to happen? In other words, what does the process look like? So people then are given a guide or a roadmap on how to work with you and what to expect when they do. Then you make the very soft ask and that's it. Then email number five, you've nurtured them through emails 1, 2, 3 and 4. So email number five is now the hard ask. So you say, hey, let's talk about product service solution xyz. I'll give you a free consultation. You make the ask, you give another success story and then maybe a PS that says, you know, here's some extra value if you act by this date. Or you can even attach a countdown timer that says, this offer will expire on this date and time. So don't wait to take action. Take action now so you build a sense of urgency. So that's it. I have given you five emails, a very simple sequence that you can attach to an automation using something like mailchimp. We can help you with that if you don't know how to do it. But if you set this up for your business this week and attach it to a lead magnet and put it on your website, I guarantee you you're going to start seeing more success from your website than you ever have before. So that's my tip for today. Sandy Waggett with MSW Interactive Designs signing off. Have a great day, everybody.
