Sandy Wardenburg Waggett (MSW Interactive Designs) presents a short YouTube marketing-tip video about self-care and self-reliance for business owners during crises. The core of the video is a book recommendation: The Self-Reliant Entrepreneur by John Jantz, a daily-meditation-style collection of excerpts from transcendentalist writers framed for entrepreneurs. Sandy describes the book’s daily 5–7 minute exercises, ties self-reliance to entrepreneurship, cites Jay Baer’s positive review, and closes with a personal endorsement and call-to-action.

Good morning, everyone. Sandy Weigt here with MSW Interactive Designs. And today I have another marketing tip for you. And we're still on the topic of marketing during crisis. But in this particular video, I want.
To talk about taking care of yourself.
And this video comes in the form.
Of a book recommendation.
So the book that I'm recommending is actually not this one.
This is called Duct Tape Marketing. It's by a guy named John Jantz and it's a classic in the marketing world. But he came out with a new book recently.
It's called the Self Reliant.
366 daily meditations to feed your soul.
And what this book is is.
Excerpts from transcendentalists. And if you think back to transcendentalist literature. Thank you, Mr. Harrington. Clark High School, Las Vegas.
You've got the guys like Emerson, Thoreau, Walt Whitman.
They were all about self reliance. And John Jantz in this book equates.
Entrepreneurship to self reliance. And he takes excerpts from these great, great authors and poets, just very short.
Ones, and then has you reflect from a business perspective and from a personal and internal perspective of how you might.
Take that philosophy and apply it to a very specific topic in your business or challenge in your business.
So, so very simply, things like character, your gifts, your potential, intentionality, impact, fear, grace and internal beliefs. So there's a different one for every day and literally it's a five to seven minute exercise.
But this book is just amazing.
I love it. It actually starts on January 1st, but you can pick up the book and then start anytime during the year on the date.
And then, you know, take the book, cycle it through the full 360 days because it's a leap year this year.
So, you know, one of the reviews.
That I read on this book, I think just nails it. It was by Jay Baer, the author of Talk Triggers, which is another great book, by the way. He says about this book, a better you makes a better business. And this book is not just a game changer, but it's a life changer.
So while you have some downtime, I highly recommend the Self Reliant Entrepreneur by John Jantz. And I'll tag John Jantz in this book.
I've been on a couple of webinars with him and just Phenomen.
Phenomenal, highly recommend it. Sandy Waggett with MSW Interactive Designs. We put the web to work for you.
I hope you have a great day. I hope this finds you well.
