A short marketing tip video by Sandy Wardenburg Waggett (MSW Interactive Designs) advocating using handwritten, mailed thank-you notes during a crisis to deepen relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees. The speaker emphasizes genuine, non-promotional notes (no business cards), suggests sending notes to employees’ spouses or parents to recognize performance, and frames the approach as a simple, offline way to reconnect during social isolation.

Good morning, everyone. Sandy Weigatt here with MSW Interactive Designs. And I have another marketing tip for you today. And I want to talk about marketing during crisis again with a very simple technique that has nothing to do with Internet marketing whatsoever. I call it shock and awe, the old fashioned way. And it's just a very simple handwritten thank you note on a card with your handwriting and an envelope that's hand addressed with a stamp. You want to take some time during the downtime that you have available to think of your customers, suppliers and employees. Who can you reach out to with a genuine handwritten thank you note? People are craving those outside connections. They've been locked up with their spouses and kids and all that stuff. And the longer it goes, the more anxious they're going to be for that outside connection. So it's a great opportunity for you as a business owner to reach out, deepen the relationship with your customers, suppliers and employees. And oh, by the way, one really great technique with employees is to send a note to their spouse or to their parents and let them know what a great job they're doing for your business and how much they mean to your company. What is a great way to make your employee feel super special in their role? So take some time, do some handwritten thank you notes. It's a great marketing technique. And although it is a marketing technique, leave your business card out of there. It's just a genuine reach out. I appreciate you. Thank you. How can I help you? Deepening the relationship. It's a great time to do that. I hope this tip helps and I hope this finds you well. Sandy Waggett with MSW Interactive Design signing off. Have a great day.
