Welcome everybody to our last kirtan of 2025. Yeah, it feels really special to be holding this the day after Bodhi Day celebrations and Bhanu's ordination and everything. So I'm really like feeling very grateful to be doing this the day after all those celebrations. And still just catching the last of the full moon kind of energy.
Yeah.
So to anyone joining us on YouTube later watching this recording who might not have joined before, this kirtan chanting and sacred singing is a very, very ancient, very simple practice of chanting and singing sacred names, the names of the divine, and from different traditions. So from Buddhist, from Sufi, from the Bhakti yoga tradition, Hindu tradition, and sometimes the odd Celtic one as well. I'm going to start with a poem about meditation by Sangreshta, because this is very much a kind of musical vibrational meditation. Here perpetual incense burns, the heart to meditation turns., and all delights and passions spurns. A thousand brilliant hues arise, more lovely than the evening skies, and pictures paint before our eyes. All the spirit's storm and stress is stilled into a nothingness, and healing powers descend and bless. Refreshed, we rise and turn again to mingle with this world of pain as on roses falls the rain. I'll read it again because the first time it's always just entering the mind and then it kind of can sink in more with the second reading. Here perpetual incense burns the heart towards Meditation turns, and all delights and passions spurns. A thousand brilliant hues arise, more lovely than the evening skies, and pictures paint before our eyes. All the spirit's storm and stress is stilled into a nothingness, and healing powers descend and bless. Refreshed, we rise and turn again to mingle with this world of pain. Pain, as on roses falls the rain. I'm going to move into our opening prayer. You can simply listen and let this help guide you further into this space, this sacred space that we're in together for this group.
Kali Kali Mahakali, Kali ke paparini, dharmakam prate devi narayani namastu de. Kali Kali Mahakali, Kali ke paparini, savavinari devi narayani namastu de.
Jai Antiman.
Beautiful. Welcome, Amersiana, joining us online. Good to have you here. Okay, so have a little wiggle, have a little shift. Feel the weight of the body, feel the bones, feel the warmth in the belly and the heart. Beginning to take some belly breaths, some deep belly breaths to get the diaphragm moving, connecting with the breath that's going to carry your voice from within to without. And then beginning with a little hum.
Ooh.
And then allowing that hum to turn into an Om.
Mm.
Ah.
Ah.
Beautiful. So moving into our first mantra, 'Am Bhavani Jaya Jagadambey.' 'Am Bhavani Jaya Jagadambey,' which is on page 1 if you need to see that written down. People joining online, I sent some words with the email, so if you need to see the words, check out the attachment in the email. So you're pretty familiar with this one. Basically, we have two— for the first two lines, it's higher, it's how it starts, and then it drops lower. And this is to Amba Bhavani, so one of the great forms of the Divine Mother.
Amba bhavani jai Jagadam ve. Amba bhavani jai Jagadam ve.
Aṁ bhavaṇi jaya jagadham me. Aṁ bhavaṇi jaya jagadham me. Aṁ bhavaṇi Amdha bhavani jaya jagadambe. Amdha bhavani jaya jagadambe. Jai Jagadguru, Om Bhavaniji, Jai Jagadguru, Om Bhavaniji, Jai Jagadguru.
Jagadambe.
Ambe bhavani je jagadambe. Ambe bhavani je jagadambe.
Jagadambe. Amma Bhavanijayajagadambe.
Amma Bhavanijayajagadambe. Ame bhavani jai Jagadambe.
Ame bhavani jai Jagadambe. Aṃ bhavaṇi jaya jagatāṁ vedaḥ.
Aṃ bhavaṇi jaya jagatāṁ vedaḥ. Aṃ bhavaṇi Jagadamve. Ambe bhavani je jagadamve. Ambe bhavani je jagadamve.
Ame bhava nijay jagadam vey. Ame bhava nijay jagadam vey. Jai Jagadguru Ramdev. Ame bhavanee jai Jagadguru Ramdev.
Ame bhavanee jai Jagadguru Ramdev.
Amer bhavanin je jagad amrit.
Amer bhavanin je jagad amrit.
Beautiful. I always— I really feel like— I really felt like I was being rocked, you know, like rocked by the Great Mother with that one. Yeah, it is the lullaby one, isn't it? Yeah, so we're gonna move into the Tara mantra. I've done two different versions of this here. It's going to be the one— well, I'll just start and you'll find out which one it is because I can't really describe it. It is the same one that you use in some— a Primal Electric track. So if you've listened to any of the Chill Out that I co-produce, then it's the one in that one. But maybe just listen for a couple of rounds and then join in. I'm just going to change the notes because I'm feeling like that's a bit better for now, even though it's not the notes written down. So the Tara mantra: Om Tare Tutare Ture Soha.
Om tare tu tare tu re so a.
Om tare tu tare ture so ha.
Om tare tu tare ture so ha.
Om tare tu tare ture. Om tare tu ta rei tu re so ha!
Om tare tu ta rei tu re so ha!
Om tare tu ta rei tu re so ha!
Om tare tu tare ture so aah.
Om tare tu tare ture so aah.
Om tare tu tare ture Ta rei tu ta rei ture so ha!
Om ta rei tu ta rei ture so ha!
Om ta rei tu ta rei ture so ha!
Om tare tu tare tu re so ha.
Om tare tu tare tu re so ha.
Om tare tu tare tu So high!
Om Tare Tu Tare Tuey so high! Om Tare Tu Tare Tuey so high! Om Tare Tu Tare Tuey—
So hard on today to day so—
Today to day so hard on today to day so Today so hot on today to day—
Today too days so hot on today to da-day-to-days so hot on today two Today, today, so hard.

Om Ah Ra Satya Naadi.
Om Ah Ra Satya Naadi. We'll carry on with some unfamiliar ones, keeping it fresh. Um, the Rumi poems is one based on the Rumi poem. It's on page— if you've got the words with you, it's on also on page 4. This is how I would die into the love I have for you, as pieces of cloud dissolve into sunlight. As pieces of cloud dissolve into sunlight. It's a bit earlier on in the evening to be moving into the Sufi ones, but I'm just really feeling this one right now. So— This one is like a waltz. But I'm really not—
these—
I'm playing the notes written down and it's not really sounding very good, so I'm going to make a little bit of a variation. No, no, no, that's gonna be far too high. Let's go back to where it was at the beginning. This is how This is how I would die into the love I have for you.

I'll do my little hand positions in case anybody— I know it's very well with little hand, hand, hand positions. So if you don't want to have to read the words, you can just watch me making little gestures.
