Satya Robyn leads a live kirtan session with call-and-response chants in English and Sanskrit, including the Heart Sutra mantra, Amma Bhavani, and Maha Kali. The session opens with a Rumi poem and includes breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, and guidance on posture and pitch for both in-person and online participants.

This lovely little select February Kirtan that we've got. Yeah, but it counts as a February one.
We are so few days in it.
We are not— we can't be like officially in March until we've had a weekday in March, so we're not really in March until tomorrow.
Who says that?
Me. So remember, I haven't been to work in A beautiful evening of chanting and singing ahead of us. I thought I'd bring in a few that we haven't done as well tonight. I love that, like some familiar ones and then the odd new one as well. As you know, we're often like to start with a poem, so we're going to start with a Rumi poem, the same one that was in the emails I sent out. This is just so gorgeous, I feel like it needs an extra saying. Something opens our walls. Something makes boredom and hurt disappear. Someone fills the cup in front of us. We taste only sacredness. Something opens our wings. Something makes boredom and hurt disappear. Someone fills the cup in front of us. We taste only sacredness. So continue just like that, preparing, preparing to breathe as I sing the opening prayer. Suryabheda, Satya Robyn, Satya Robyn. So beginning to prepare your own bodies for some chanting, some singing. So allowing the chest to open, you might want to roll the shoulders back, letting the belly be nice and relaxed so that it can fill with air. Feet on the floor, grounded, if that's comfortable. Taking a moment to just quickly scan around the space in your mind's eye, just really getting a sense of the room, any other people in the room. And beginning to take some nice deep belly breaths, really allowing the diaphragm to move freely. The breath is everything when it comes to accessing the voice, so the fuller and yet more relaxed it can be, the better. Then you're going to start with a bit of a hum, and then allow that hum to turn into an OM when you're ready. Moving into our first mantra. Amma Bhavani, jai jai Ramayana. Amma Bhavani, jai jai Ramayana. On page 1, you need to press. Swamiji, the Divine Mother, Amma, Amma Divine. We're going to move into the mantra from the Heart Sutra, starting on page 1. Gathe, gate, padrayate. Parasangate bodhisattva. Gante yate paragate parasangate bodhisattva. So as always, this mantra is an invitation to go beyond all that you think we know and all that we think everything is made up of into a profound experience of emptiness and fullness and oneness. It sounds better with the right notes. So Satya Robyn, as we know, slow and then lift it up and then set it down. Nice and predictable. Any favours for a bit of tambourine, or is it a bit too early in the night for people to be feeling brave with a bit of tambourine? we haven't done here either for quite a long time, or possibly ever. So this is Namaste, Namaste, I bow to the divine within you. Namaste, Namaste, Jai Bhagwan, which if you want to see it written down is on page 1. Page 1, still on page 1. Thank you so much people who are joining on online. I will make it my mission before the next time to get a digital copy of all Liz's up there for you to have a look at. Is anyone ready for a shaker? This is by Jim Fox. He plays K-10 at Glastonbury. If you're over there, you see a guy with a big beard, that's Jim.

We're moving into a slightly longer mantra. I'm sorry, people joining us online, I will get some words up on page 3 if you've got some words. Maha Kali Jai Jai Ma. Matangi Jai Jai Ma. Kamalasmita Jai Jai Ma.
Jai Ma.
If you're joining online and you're struggling to pick up the words, then feel free to just sing Jamar, Jamar, Jamar. However you remember it, I'm sure you can fit it in to the same 2.
Maha Kali, Jai Jai Ma. Mahajanvi, Jai Jai Ma. Kamalaj, Jai Jai Ma. Jai Jai Ma.

What do you think? Is that who you want to keep her?
I don't know.
It's TC here, it's a TC land. Calm delivery, bliss. Absolutely. Nice. I'm going to just tick one. My sword and my flower. My sword and my flower is all that I bring, my soul's offering. So if people joining online, that's quite nice and easy. English is your first language, so it's a bit easier to pick up on English. So my sword and my flower is all that I bring, My soul is offering. Page 6. As you can tell, we're two-thirds into the group and we're entering and, you know, like maybe feeling some of the beautiful, wonderful vibrations and the benefits of however long you've been chanting and singing with us. And now we're going to move into the more gentle rounds for our last bit of the evening. So my sword and my flowers, all that I bring, my soul's offering. That's feeling very high. I'm all singing at this pitch anyway. Maybe my voice has dropped after an hour of chanting. I'm like, "What? Did I really make that note this morning?" And it's going to get higher now. I was going to have to drop my pitch. First thing in the morning is clearly quite different from this point in the day, so just bear with me whilst I find another good chord. That's too low. I reckon I wrote it down wrong. It's E&A, not DNA. I wrote it down DNA. There we go.
Yeah.
My sword, my flower. My sword, my flower. It is all that I bring. My sword, my of the Ring. My sword, my flower, my sword, my flower, it is all that I bring. My sword of the Ring. My sword, my flower. My sword, my flower. It is all that I bring. My sword's offering. My sword, my flower. My sword, my flower. It is all that I bring. My sword of the brave. My soul, my flower. Is home that I bring. My sword of the ring, my sword, my vow. My sword, my vow, is all that I bring.
My We're going to move into Ta'riki, and that's literally it. This is one where the words are incredibly simple. It's literally Ta'riki, meaning 'of the power.' The word's very simple, the tune is complex. So We have done it before. Um, we'll give it a go. Equal response. Um, I'll try not to —get confused, apart from getting confused in the chorus parts, but we'll give it a go in the chorus parts. And then when you're all feeling like you've got a bit of the hang of it, we'll move into everyone doing it together. I'll be moving this hand up and down to suggest the notes going up and down, to help you think it through.
Tari ki tari ki— Tari ki tari ki— Tari ki tari ki— You ready to go all together? Yeah, I'll keep on moving my hand around. Hari ki! Hari ki! Sari ji!
Jai Guru Dev Ji! Sari ji! Sari ji!
Sari ji!
Hare Krishna!
Sari ki sari ki— Sari ki sari ki sari ki— Sari ki sari ki— Sareekee, sareekee, sareekee, sareekee, sareekee.
So we're going to chant Namo Amida Butsu. Namo Amida Butsu.
Namaste, As Guru. Namaste, As Guru. Asmi Asat. Namaste, As Guru. Namoha miyasu. Satya Robyn. Satya Robyn. Namoha miyasu.
May we awaken from forgetfulness and realize our true home. Thank you very much, everybody. And thank you for those joining us online as well. Namaste.
