Great. Okay, so for people who are new to this kind of thing, what we're going to be doing is some devotional singing and chanting. So similar to the kind of chanting that we already do in practices here, but with a bit more melody and with instruments. Um, so a big influence for me is Bhakti Yoga, which is the devotional path of yoga. And it's not about physical movements or discipline or anything like that. It's, it's about using vibration and sound and mantra as a form of meditation and as a way of dropping into the kind of ocean of love and compassion and wisdom and acceptance and all those juicy things. So you might have an experience of something like that during this, and you might not. You might find that you struggle to get into it and that the words don't come easily, and you think, oh, we're really singing this like again? We've already sung it like 100 times already. And that's also Okay, because something is still happening in whichever way you experience it. Yeah. And I'll be doing mostly pretty simple mantras and sacred, uh, devotional songs also from other traditions, um, like Sufi. So Sufi, yogic, and Buddhist are my 3 main influences. There are some words out there, so feel free to look at them if you can find them. And some of the sounds— if some of the sounds don't come easily, then just do the nearest thing you can to that sound, and that's okay. That's enough. That's enough already. But I will say what— I'll say what page we're on with some of them, and some of the ones I do won't also aren't on the words, on the words list. So yeah, and often I find when I'm singing, when I'm chanting a new mantra, at the start I might feel like you know, I'm really struggling to remember all the words, all the syllables, but then if I can relax into it, I find that I can be carried by the group mantra, by the group song. Okay, so I'm going to sing our opening prayer, opening mantra. And you can simply listen to this one and allow it to wash over you and to help with the transition from all the loveliness of the day so far into this particular space that we're in together for the next hour. Satya Robyn.
Jai Mata ki, jai Kali Mata ki, jai Amriteshwari ki, jai Bhole Baba ki, jai Amida ki, jai all beings everywhere ki, jai.
Beginning to prepare the body for some chanting, for some singing, by taking some nice deep belly breaths. Some full belly breaths. So it connects with the breath because the breath is going to be the vehicle which is going to carry your voice from inside you and out into this— out into this space. And then when you're ready to begin waking up the voice with a little hum, maybe to start with, nice and gentle little hum. Then when you feel that start to resonate you can allow it to turn into an Om. And we're going to do a rolling Om when you're ready. So you breathe in, then you exhale an Om. Breathe in, exhale an Om. And it can be any pitch, it doesn't have to sound anything like mine. Aah! Satsang. So we're going to go into a nice gentle mantra to ease us in.
Aham Prema.
Aham Prema. And if you want to see that written down, then it's on page 4. Um, people on Zoom, would you like me to type it into the chat? Yeah.
Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma, Aum, Brahma, Aum, Brahma, Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Aum, Brahma. Ya Salaam. I will try to type this into the chat for our Zooming friends. Hopefully that makes sense. Zoom friends, it's not spelled right, but it's pretty much what would be Zoom. Definitely feel free to bring in tambourine. Yeah, yeah. And this is one of the ones where you really don't worry if not all the sounds are coming the first few, you know, the first few Thanks.

So the next one we're going to go into isn't written down. Some of you have heard it before, and some of you will be familiar with half of it. So, um, goes: engrossed is the bee of my mind at the lotus feet of the Divine Mother. Oh, Divine Mother. So engrossed is the bee of my mind at the lotus feet of the Divine Mother. And then we'll do that for a little while, and then at some point we'll go into the Kuan Yin mantra. So, Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. I'll type that in. The people on Zoom, you do get wits for this one because I can just type it in. There we go. So with this one, as with all of them in fact, except possibly the one, the only one I wrote, is that there's lots of versions to these. So you might hear other, other versions of them in other places. And if you've heard them before, you might have other versions that try to come out whilst you're singing this version, which is also fine.
