Creative on Purpose Presents Monday on Purpose - Where Do Purpose & Passion Reside?

Scott Perry argues purpose and passion aren't distant goals to find but internal resources you build through present-moment work. He cites Meister Eckhart: wisdom is doing the next task with whole-hearted delight. Treat them as renewable, growing as you apply them daily.

Welcome to Monday on Purpose presented by Creative on Purpose Live. I'm your host, Scott Perry, Chief Difference Maker at Creative on Purpose. Every Monday I share a bit of insight and inspiration to help you heed the call of vocation, to find the difference only you can make, and live your legacy. Today's episode is Where Do Purpose and Passion Reside? Knowing Might Just Change Everything. Here we go. Where do purpose and passion reside? Is it out there for you to discover and exploit, or is it inside you to be excavated and employed? I wonder if it's neither, or perhaps both. Perhaps it's both and. What if purpose and passion naturally occur from doing the work right in front of you right now with full mindful presence? What if purpose and passion aren't finite but renewable resources? Maybe they arise from engaging in your everyday, everyday routines and relationships with purpose and passion. Maybe purpose and passion reside where wisdom lives. Here's a quote by Meister Eckhart: Wisdom consists in doing the next thing you have to do, doing it with your whole heart, and finding delight in doing it. What if, just for today, you stop treating purpose and passion like destinations? What if, just for today, you treated them like regenerative resources that grow as you employ them in all your endeavors? What if, just for today, you practice purpose and passion from the inside out? How might that change everything? Thanks for tuning in to Monday on Purpose.
