Most funnels convert only 2–3% of leads into paying customers, according to someone who audits marketing systems. Online sources often claim 10–30% conversion rates, suggesting those numbers don't reflect what actually happens.

Most funnels that I have seen and the funnels that I've looked at with people that are coming to me for an audit of their marketing system are converting at about a 2 or 3%, 2 or 3% of the people that sign up for a lead magnet or some sort of ethical bribe opt-in. None of those people make it all the way through the funnel and drip out the bottom and give you a credit card and buy the thing that you want to thank. That's especially true for the higher ticket funnels. You can Google the numbers sometimes. There, there you'll find numbers that are much higher than that, maybe 10%, maybe 20%, maybe as high as 30%.
