I've experienced several transitions in life, moving from a 25-year career as a professional musician to becoming a head coach at Seth Godin's Akimbo Workshops. Now I help people like you to navigate difficult life transitions with greater purpose, prosperity, and peace of mind. Now remember, after you learn how to dismantle the inner narratives holding you back by answering 3 simple questions, drop a line below to get my 3-second exercise to instantly help you overcome fear, anxiety, and regret. Okay, here's the 3-step process to negotiate the inevitable outer and internal challenges when navigating a difficult life transition. First is Notice. You have to bring your awareness to what's happening. This awakens consciousness and calls it in to help you process the situation. Second is Name. Acknowledge what's happening as plainly as possible. No value judgments, adjectives, or adverbs. This helps you work the situation instead of letting it work on you. The final step is Navigate. Now you can reframe what's happening, unpack all your choices, and decide your next best step with greater integrity and intention. Here's an example of how I might use this framework. If I realize I've gained weight, I typically feel guilt and shame about my lack of self-control and commitment to my health. After I notice this unhelpful inner dialogue, I simply acknowledge the situation by stating, I've gained weight because of my inactivity and poor diet. Notice there's no judgment or descriptive words in that statement. I can now work on the problem instead of continuing to allow it to work on me. With this awareness, I can reframe the situation as an opportunity to practice resilience and get back on the wagon practicing healthier habits. I can unpack my choices, including recommitting to exercise and diet goals, seeking guidance and accountability from a coach, and creating a plan to improve my overall health and well-being. Now that I've disrupted my feelings of guilt and being stuck, I can see a better path forward. There you go. By answering 3 simple questions, I flipped my negative script and I'm stepping into a better future. Now remember to claim your 3-second exercise to instantly conquer fear, anxiety, and regret. Just leave a comment below. I look forward to witnessing your journey of creating a life of greater fulfillment and impact as you live your legacy.
