Have you yet heard the call of vocation? At some point, some of us hear life speaking to us. That's a signal your life wants to speak through you. Most of us spend the first half of life climbing the first mountain. You're trained for that adventure by institutional education and occupation. Your life's first act is about fulfilling traditional roles and responsibilities, most often in employment and and family raising. As those roles and responsibilities wind down, you may feel lost and lacking. You might have a nagging sense that there's more to life than what you've accomplished so far. You know you have more to contribute, but no sense of what that is or how to pursue it. Institutional education and occupation haven't provided much insight or inspiration for seeking or scaling it, but there is a second mountain.
