But obviously I feel really strongly about this because I've experienced this from a very early age. I was 27 years old when I said, I wonder if I could do this music thing and make a living at it. And I just, I literally decided I would rather try and fail than die wondering if I ever could have done it, because it was that important to me in that moment. That doesn't mean I just quit my job and started gigging. I had a conversation with my wife. We had a plan. We saved a lot of money, gave us a runway of a year, and I did it. I did it for a year. And at the end of the year, it turned out that I could make just as much money as a gigging musician as I could as a teacher, sometimes more. So I just kept doing it. I did it for almost 30 years. And it all came down to that one decision, answering the question, I wonder if— let's find out.
