Three principles for a fulfilling life: receptivity, staying open to what works and letting go of what doesn't; restraint, committing to a consistent rhythm instead of chasing quick fixes; and responsibility, controlling only your perception and next action, not outcomes.

And the very final thing is with all of this, I think the 3 rules that we talked about in the Stepping into Possibility series: receptivity, restraint, and responsibility. Be open, keep open loops about things, and be open to new ideas and different perspectives on things that you already know or do. Be receptive to the idea that there may be a time or season to stop doing something because it's consistently not bringing you the fulfillment and the joy and the meaning that you're looking for. And it may, may very well re-emerge when life is really calling you to do that thing. Show some restraint. If you're going to establish a frequency, then establish a frequency, stick with the frequency, and don't get distracted by all the shiny objects and tactical quick fixes. And then responsibility— like, take responsibility for your journey. You You only possess control over two things: how you see things and what you decide and do next, your actions. If you accept that, you will soon learn that that's all you need to live a purpose-driven, fulfilling life. And instead of chasing and attaching to expectations and outcomes, you will find that they just naturally emerge from the things that you're already doing.
