Sean Everett outlines his firm's three core services: building companies from scratch with product and go-to-market strategy, growing them through hypothesis-driven growth and sales, and exiting them via acquisition or IPO with due diligence and post-close support.

My name is Sean Everett and welcome to our little corner of the internet. What do we do? We build, grow, and exit companies. So what does that mean and how do we do it? Let's take each one in turn. So the first one, build. A lot of experience, 20 years building companies at pretty much every stage from pre-seed, seed, A/B, public company, VC-backed, private equity-backed turnaround. The specialty is product management and and some strategy in there as well. So hire a team, manage the team, build the product, and then take the product to market and get to the next milestone for the company to potentially raise more round, another round of capital, or be self-sufficient in the marketplace as a bootstrapped organization. Number 2, grow. What does that mean? Well, we use a hypothesis testing framework, but the classic could be more like marketing. And sales, but really the new— the stuff the kids are saying these days is product-led growth. So how do we build things and make them more efficient to take this product or service to market and capture more revenue in a profitable way? So that's grow, and then we also do branding and creative as part of that process. There's a number of different tactics that we use, zero-to-one products, etc. PR. So the third one is exit. What does that mean? Well, that means you sell your company or potentially take it public. And so we started our career at a company called Willis Towers Watson doing incentive design and consulting to the boards and executives of Fortune 500 companies. But we also work on behalf of venture capitalists and private equity organizations to do technical and product due diligence, and then on a pre-close or post-close transaction, do value creation services, which is implement operational procedures, organizational design, compensation, incentive design, etc., interim executive roles in order to execute the plan and get to perhaps another exit point. So it's just one giant flywheel: build, grow, exit, build, grow, exit, and around and around the world goes. So our core values are pretty clear and basic. They are ethics, integrity, and confidentiality. The people we work with, we love to do business on a hand- shake and a smile. And hopefully we can work together in the future and build something amazing that helps people. That's it from us.
