In this brief teambuilding talk, the speaker argues that organizational culture cannot be imposed through mandates or posters. Culture emerges from repeated behaviors, so the most effective way to shape it is by exemplifying the actions of a great teammate. When others observe these positive behaviors and their impact, they are more likely to emulate them, thereby organically building the desired culture.

I don't think that you mandate culture. I think that's impossible. I don't think you can put a poster on a wall and say, "This is what we're going to be." I think culture is illustrated and emulated. Again, if culture is repeated behaviors, then my job is to first be a great teammate, and if you see me doing those things that great teammates do, you're far more likely to emulate those behaviors because you see the positive impact Did they have?
