Sean Glaze explains toughness as consistency and reliable effort during adversity, not just intensity. Winning teammates stay dependable whether ahead or behind, showing up the same way every time.
Now again, from athletics, I would tell my athletes, toughness is a skill. Toughness is consistency in the middle of adversity. Toughness is making sure that your teammates know they can depend on you to give the same effort, the same attention to detail, regardless of circumstance.
