Turns out, as I looked back over my coaching career, that every one of the athletes in my locker room were first and foremost concerned about their playing time. Every one of you, when you woke up this morning, the most important person in your day looked back at you in the mirror as you brushed your teeth. So the question is, if culture is important, if team is important, how do we get that team concept to take hold? And what I share with every group I am blessed to be able to hopefully corrupt, is that individuals are what teams consist of. And to become a team, those individuals need to make a conscious decision to be a small contributing part of something larger than themselves. A decision to be a small contributing part of something larger and more significant than themselves.
