How much would your life or your business improve if you could build a larger network of skills and relationships and resources? See, one of the greatest lessons I learned over my time as a coach and working with all kinds of teams is that as much as I enjoyed the strategy and the technical aspect of drawing up X's and O's, success was far less about drawing plays than it was about drawing people together. Your quality of life is absolutely determined by the quality relationships and interactions that you have at work. 60% of executives, according to the American Management Association, reported that their greatest difficulty was collaboration, getting people to work successfully together. I'm Sean Glaze, and as an author, speaker, and team-building coach, I draw upon over 20 years of experience working with teams to help organizations just like yours enjoy more trust, more productivity, and more fun. The power of team-building is in experiential learning. One of the things that you will see as you get into the challenge activities is each activity, honestly, is a small microcosm of the entire organization. And how people work together on this is oftentimes how they work together in the midst of their actual corporate or other culture. Anybody try to hide other team's pieces? No! See, awareness without action is worthless. If you know that you're missing a piece, you need to do something about it and go find it. And the line I'm talking about is one that some people are uncomfortable with. It's the line between professional and personal. For some people, that thing is pretty thick. But I'll tell you, if you care enough to ask questions, you transform yourself from being a shallow coworker to a connected teammate. And if you want people to be truly invested, it's not just about building connections amongst people on the team. It's about building connections so that they see where their efforts are going, and what they're actually accomplishing as part of the big picture.
He was very insightful, very, very powerful, got us all engaged with one another.
Certainly you could take pieces home and work with your staff or your family.
He was fantastic and I highly recommend him.
It's not just basketball, it's business. What you do influences others. What you do makes a difference.
