Why do you need to recruit your own players? Well, it's very well known that in college football and college basketball, coaches spend lots of time and lots of resources recruiting new players. The University of Georgia football program has spent over $4 million just the last year on recruiting talent that has helped them to win championships. But it's recruiting your own people who are already in your locker room that's going to make you more successful. Yes, you want to build an exceptional culture that's going to attract great new talent, but hospitals have reportedly spent about $7 million in the last year because of the turnover that people leaving those jobs has created. So if you don't want to lose great people, you need to recruit the ones that are already in your locker room, in your organization, contributing to your results. And if you don't have a chief retention officer or somebody that is there to make sure they're investing time in keeping your people happy and making sure that you are providing what they need in terms of development and appreciation, that might be a great idea to consider. I'm Sean Glaze. That's what effective leaders do.
