99% Of Shops don’t do this

Mike Melton shows how to reduce tire vibration by massaging the tire bead with a roller to release trapped air, then using a road-force balancer that applies 1,200 lb of pressure. His process dropped a tire's road-force reading from 31 lb to 21 lb, below the acceptable threshold.

Alright. In this video I'm going to show you how to massage the bead to get the radial run out in a tire to reduce any kind of vibrations that you're going to have. So what he's going to do, he's going to do your bottom roller first. What this does, it puts pressure on that bead. See that right there? Puts pressure on that bead to release any kind of air trapped any kind of air trapped in between the bead of the tire and the bead of the wheel. So what that's going to do, it's going to reduce any kind of radial run out, which is kind of like how your tire is like in an oval shape and it just makes it more uniform. So as you see here, there's a little air trapped in there. So what you're going to do is roll around just two times, maybe three times sometimes, depending on how much air is still trapped in there. And then after we do this, we're going to show you how it reduces that that run out and how much road force is on this tire. So before, how much was this tire calling for? Like 41 pounds of force. Yeah. Okay. So before it's called for 41 pounds of force in this tire. So now he's, he just massaged the bees to reduce that radial run out in there. So now he's gonna finish inflating it here in the inflator and then we're gonna move it to the rose quartz machine and we're gonna show you exactly how to get that down. Let's go ahead and finish inflating it and then we're going to put it on this balance. We'll show you here. Just a second. So this is called an auto inflator. What this does, you set it to whatever air pressure that the vehicle calls for, you hook it up and then you can go back to changing the tire. So this saves you time and money with your company and how it does that. So if he has more tires to change, he can put it to the inflator, inflating tires, go back to changing tires and then what he's done, it's already inflated for him. So then you have another guy come up here, he grabs that while the guy still change the tires and it goes to the balancer. So of course you see that right there? We always spray the valve cores and valve stems to make sure you not going to have any kind of leaks coming from that right there. We've been noticing that some of these stems actually come in imported in because they're all imported from China that have had issues with the valve stems leaking either from the cores or from the actual rubber stem part itself. So you're going to want to use the the flange plate. This is balancing by the logos. And I'm going to put this part in the description for any tire shops that want to get this. It'll be in the description. That's what it was. Okay. All right, so now what, what it was, it was 31, not 41. So it was 31 too high. Road force. We massage the bees now. Let's see what we can get it down to. And you're going to see everything real time. We're not going to cut it, edit none of that stuff. What we show on this channel is all 100% real. So if you're not familiar, it's a road force machine. It's got a roller, puts 1200 pounds of force on the tire, simulating it being driven on the vehicle to check for any kind of thing that's going to make it vibrate. So now look at that. So we went from 31 down to 21. So we're below the threshold. So you're good to go on this and less weight. So not only that, you got to have a good quality tire like this. Nitto G3 is the absolute best all terrain tire on the market. So like I said, if you want set of Nittos, we can help you here. If you want to set of that flange plate and you're out of the state, you need it shipped to you for a store, it'll be in the description.
