Comparison of two Toyo tire models: the Open Country RT Pro and Open Country RT Trail. The video breaks down differences in tread design, mud evacuation, stone ejectors, and sidewall features to show what each tire does better.
Compare the new Toyo Open Country RT Pro against the Toyo Open Country RT Trail. Now, we're gonna do a comparison on these two tires, and they're the exact same size. 35 1250, 17 and 35 1250, 17. Now, as you look at them, you can tell there's a noticeable difference between the RT Pro and RT trail. One of the biggest differences is the gaps in between the tread blocks. This one here is a lot wider than that RT trail is. Now, I've tested out the RT trail mud and it did absolutely wonderful in there. Now, the RT Pro is definitely going to do a lot better because it's got a lot wider gaps. It's going to evacuate that mud out of those trail blocks. One thing that's lacking in the RT trail that isn't lacking in RT Pro is all the stone ejectors throughout all the tread blocks. Now, this one here, like I said, it only has it on the shoulder. Don't have it inside the center tread at all. So if you ever get stone stuck in there, they're kind of in there. So you're going to lose that traction on those trails. And also on the side of tire, the side lugs, it's a lot more aggressive then that RT trail also. But they're both three ply sidewall tires. So if you like that RT trail, you're definitely going to love that RT pro. So I recommend to Greg grab, you set.
