Mike Melton tests the GripMax MT mud tire, a new budget option with aggressive sidewall styling. It balanced to just 6 oz of imbalance and showed a road-force reading of 21 lb, meaning it runs quieter than comparable Mud Graps. Melton says the ride quality beats a Cadillac's.

We're doing a set of these GripMax MTs right here. So of course he's using flange plate, balancing it by the lug holes the right way. If you're a tire shop and you want some of these, just DM me. So if you're not familiar with the MaxGrip MT, here it is. Let's go over it. This is one of the newest tires in the market, ain't been out too long for everybody, and I knew that this one would take over the market over some of the other inexpensive tires. For one, because the way this thing looks. So me personally, I like the way the sidewall looks, I like the way the tread design looks. So we started calling these things the Grappeneers, because they look a lot like the Mud Graps, but they change it up a little bit. So the people that's been riding on these things say they are quiet for being mud tire, but some people like that loud noise, so they go with the Mud Graps. All right, now let's balance it out. First thing we got to do, we got to take that damn sticker off of there. All right, let's balance this thing out. We got it rolling. We're not going to cut it, we're not going to edit. Let's see exactly how these things come out. Will they come out good? Will they come out bad? High road force or low? So right now the roller's going on there, putting 1,200 pounds of force on this tire, simulating it being driven on that vehicle. Here in a second that's gonna come off. All right, let's see where we at. We at 6 ounces on the inside, only 21 pounds of force here. So it's not gonna— even though it's got 6 ounces, still got low road force. That's gonna have no vibration. So this thing gonna ride better than a damn Cadillac, son.
