Mike Melton tests Venom Terra Hunter RT Plus tires on 24-inch wheels and finds serious problems. The tires won't balance properly, staying above 5 ounces even after multiple attempts, and show a 77-pound road-force reading that indicates poor build quality. He concludes they prioritize looks over substance.
Venom Terra Hunter RT Plus
24-inch forged wheels
1,200 pounds of pressure
77 pounds of force
5 ounces (call)
What in the hell is this? I'm about to mount up some of these 24 inch forged wheels. Now this guy did it right. He's branding his own wheels. I love that. Now everybody knows how I feel about this brand and these tires. And it's not me hating just cause they're venom. It's about the quality, people. You got to understand this quality. Go read all the reviews all online. Now, out of all the venom tires, now the RT pluses do balance out better. So we're gonna see how these things do now before we balance them out. Let's go over this tire a little bit. It's the Venom Terra Hunter RT plus. Now, it's not a bad looking tire, but when it comes to quality, they skipped all that. Went straight to the looks. I wonder why it says export only. Because they not good enough to use in their own damn country. Of course, balance by the lug holes. That way you don't put nothing on the front of the face of that wheel. Now always balance by the logos. For one, you protect the front finish of the wheel. Also, you never want to front cone it because you never know if that thing's 100% true or not. Before we balance it out. You know what we got to do. Got to take that damn sticker off, son. All right, so this type of wheel you're going to sat at bounce because of how deep that lip is, some people gonna try to dynamic bounce the wheel. That'll cause a imbalance in the wheel and it causes a vibration. Don't do that. All right, now here it is. We ain't gonna cut it. We gonna edit it. That roller's about to come down. There it is. Putting that pressure on there. That 1200 pounds of pressure. That roller gonna come off. We're gonna see is it gonna have a high road force? Is it gonna balance out good? Let's see. All right, here we are. We had 77 pounds of force. 70 says we can get down to 39. We're still gonna be above call for five ounces. So like I said from the beginning, these things never balance out good.
