Short YouTube review/demonstration by Mike Melton comparing the Cooper Discoverer Stronghold tire to the Cooper AT3. The presenter criticizes the Stronghold for weaker wet and snow traction, louder noise, and chunkier tread/sidewall; he then performs a road-force and balancing demonstration, applying ~1,200 pounds of force and reporting a 30 lb road-force reading and small balance weights.

Cooper messed up when they made this tire right here. This one here is the Cooper Discoverer Stronghold. Now, as far as the sidewall, it's more aggressive than that AT three was. The tread's a lot chunkier on this tire. Now, as far as, like, the wet traction and siphon goes, it's a lot less on this tire than that at 3 was. Now, a lot of people like Cooper because they come with white letters, but this tire doesn't. Now, the reason I say Cooper messed up when they made this tire, because that at three was way better. It was way better off road. It was way better in wet traction and way better in snow traction. As far as quietness, the Cooper at 3 was a lot quieter than this Stronghold was, too. Now, this guy came in here wanting that at three. Of course, they don't make it, so you had to go with the Stronghold, so he just stuck with the Coopers. He gonna try these out. Now. Let's go ahead and throw this thing on the road force and see exactly how good these things come out. Now, you know, before we balance it out, what we got to do. We gotta take them damn stickers off. All right, we got it spinning. All right, Roller's about to come down. Put 1200 pounds of force on it. All right, roller's coming on. Where we at? We had an ounce and a quarter or ounce and three quarters here, ounce of three quarters there, and we at 30 pounds force. But it says we can get that down, so we're going to knock that down for him.
