A founder examines whether business ownership is freedom or trap. The talk covers misconceptions about liability, the weight of responsibility, and why mentorship and humility matter more than most entrepreneurs admit.
So let's go ahead and address something. A lot of y' all think y' all own the company, right? So let me ask you, how many hours a week are you working? How much are you paying yourself? Because you have, as a business owner, you have a lot of liability. So you got employees, okay? You're liable for anything that happens. Your. Your. Your irs, your taxes, you have tons of liability there. Employee payroll taxes, you know, a shirts. Listen, if you. If you're only making 60 to 150,000 a year, you are an employee. Your business is not working for you. You're working for your business. So I suggest you find a mentor, somebody that is in your industry that knows exactly what they're doing. Pay them to get you where you need to be faster. That's the key. You have to do it with speed. But you know, the sad part about it is, you know, a lot of people are entrepreneurs, business people, right? But their ego was so big, they think they don't need any help. But then they start struggling. They have employee issues. They don't. They can't grow. But their ego is so big, they are scared to ask for help. Listen, you're crazy. If you're scared to ask for help. You can either go under or you can ask for help. Which one you want to do?
