Single-speaker YouTube review (Mike Melton) criticizing the Falken Wild Peak AT4W. Speaker asserts the AT3W was superior—better wet traction though slightly shorter tread life—then says AT4W has reduced wet and snow traction after a compound change. The speaker also reports balance problems with AT4W (demonstrates balancing, notes a high road-force reading ~43) and comments on tire hardness and ride quality. Tone is informal, opinionated, and confrontational toward opposing comments.
Questions this video answers
Approximately 43 (road-force reading).
Is the Falcon Wild Peak at 4W worth a. Well, I'm gonna tell you what it's not. Now, the reason I say that's because the. The AT3W was way better tire. Now, the reason the AT3W was better, this thing had better wet traction. It did have a little bit less tread life, but it had better wet traction. All right, once they did that, they did the different tread compound and everything, so the snow traction decreased and the wet traction decreased. Now, with these tires, now, we've seen them not balance all that well either, as far as it looks at the time. Ain't a bad looking sidewall. Tread blocks ain't that bad looking. Now, for the haters in the comments, let's go ahead and take you out of here. Now you're gonna say, oh, man, them falcons last longer than them Toyos and Itos do. I'm gonna tell you what, if you want to ride on a damn hockey puck, go ahead and do it. Now, why I say hockey puck? Because these damn things are hard as hell. Now let's go ahead, balance these things up. Now, before we do that, you know you got to take that damn sticker off, son. All right, set it, lt. All right, we got it rolling. Got that roller? All right, rollers coming over. Let's see where we at. Look at that. Told you, Falcon. Look how high it is. Prediction can't be fixed. 43 road force, probably three and a half ounces. Ounce and a half. Not too bad. But that road force, some gun gonna ride like a damn big old wagon.
