Mike Melton shows how to check and adjust tire pressure using the factory spec on your door jamb, usually around 30 psi. Add 3 psi if tires are warm, stick to the number if they're cold. The tire pressure light resets itself once you drive.
Lets show you how to correctly check the air pressure of a vehicle. So first, you're going to open up the door, and right here in the door jamb is going to be a placard. So it's always going to tell you your factory air pressure, like this one here, is going to be 30 psi. So now if you got a vehicle that comes in or if you're driving your own vehicle, fill the tires. If they're warm, go three pounds over, because your tire air pressure is going to fluctuate by three pounds up or down, whether it's cold or hot. So if they're at cold temperature, put them at the factory settings. If they're already warm or hot, put them three pounds over factory settings. So now you got a. You got a valve cap on there. You're gonna want to take that valve cap off. Then all you do.
Is push.
That onto the. To the sensor.
So like in the wintertime, if your light pressure is on, that's why you're checking the air pressure after you refill those tires. When you go to crank your vehicle, sometimes you have to drive or relearn them, like this one here. We'll go ahead and crank it up. There's your tire pressure light, and that should go right off for you. Yep, everything's good. Good to go.
