This is a YouTube video titled "January 24, 2025" containing a detailed technical explanation about diagnosing and fixing vibration issues in B.F. Goodrich tires. The speaker walks through the process of static balancing, road force balancing, and force matching tires to resolve the problem. The content is instructional and focused on tire maintenance and repair techniques.
Had a customer this time to email me this morning, said, I cannot get the vibration out of these B.F. goodrich tires. Had multiple people try it. So let's see what's going on with them. All right, so taking them off, first thing I see, all they did was static bounce these wheels. That's one reason. All right, now, these things ain't cupped at all. So let's see how these things balance out. All right, so wheels like this, you can't put any weights on the outside. So what you should do is put a weight right in here and right here on the lip. All right, so exactly how we have it set up, a clip on weight and a tapeway here we have a setup for SUV and trucks. So let's go ahead and road force this tire. All right, so this is the first of four tires. We're gonna go to each one. So road force is done on it. So it's only calling for 14 pounds of force, which is good. Way below the threshold. Two and a quarter or two and a half and an ounce here. Now let's go to tire two. All right, here's tire number two. Let's see what this thing calls for. There's about done with road force. Man, that's a lot. So it's calling for five and a half here. Five and three quarters. Road force is low, but that's a lot of weight for this little small tire. So let's go to tire number three. Just like tire one or two, this thing is also just static balance. Whoever does these things last don't know what the heck they're doing. This is tire number three. About done with the road force. Let's see what this one comes up to right here. All right, so this one needs to be force match. So we're gonna. We're gonna spin this tire and force match it, and we're gonna bring that weight down. All right, so how you force magic tells you put a mark on the tire like we did. So we put it right there where the line is. Now we're gonna hit that. It's gonna spin it around for us, and it lets us know exactly where to put that mark at on that wheel. So we're gonna spin that tire and mark those two spots. All right, this is Tire 4, just like all the other ones. Again, just static balance. All right, so this is tire number four. So let's go ahead and see how this one balances out. Then I'm gonna go back to Tire 3, since we force match it. Show you how that one come out. All right, this is Tire 4. Let's see how this thing comes out. All right, this is coming out pretty good. We're only 11 pounds of force. It only called it for an ounce and a half. All right, as you see, we match those two marks up. We just mounted the tire. Match it up. Now, as you see, this is tire number three that we had to match. We're gonna go ahead and set it back to the road force. All right, now that we force match this tire, let's see what it comes out to now. It's a lot better. 16. It was way over the limits before. Now there's no radial run out. It's coming for an ounce and a quarter and three and a quarter right there. That's how you fix tire issues.
