This is a YouTube video titled "July 24, 2025" containing a multi-speaker discussion about issues with Cooper CS5 Grand Touring tires. The speakers analyze a tire defect involving belt separation, explain the safety risks, and discuss warranty options. The conversation appears to be technical and informative, likely aimed at educating viewers about tire safety and maintenance. There is no indication that Mike Melton is one of the speakers.
All right, what's going on with cooper tires? Let's show you something. That's the Cooper CS5 Grand Touring. All right, now, as you see, that.
Tire looks pretty new, man.
But I just take a spin that thing.
Whoa.
What's going on there? There's a big old hump there. Now, I thought cooper was keeping up.
Their quality, but I'm not sure about.
This one right here. So I'm not sure if y' all know what caused that, but what it.
Is, it's where.
The belt shifts inside the tire, and it causes it to start to separate right there. So road forcing it definitely ain't gonna fix nothing like that. So something like this, you definitely got to just go ahead and replace because that thing will ride like a wagon, and it's gonna come apart on you. All right, let's go ahead and dismount.
This tire and show you what it.
Looks like from the inside.
All right, so this is what it looks like from the inside. So you see where the belts are starting to shift right in there? That is a no go. So what we have to do, we're gonna send this thing into cooper and see if they can't warranty for them, because you definitely don't want that. Now, that's where the steel belts come together.
So if you ever got a tire that looks like it's on your car, you definitely want to take that thing off immediately because that's going to come apart on you one day and you're have an accident. So definitely take that stuff off.
