Mike Melton from Speedy Tire Wholesale shows how tires can wear dangerously on the inside edge while looking fine from outside, usually from a suspension problem. Check the entire tread, not just the outer edge, and get a wheel alignment before replacing tires to avoid wasting money on repeated premature wear.

Inspect your tires. Your tire can look brand new, but on the inside is where you can't see it. Most people only look at the outside edge of the tire, but on the inside edge it could be worn out smooth or even, even showing wire, right? So that normally means an alignment's off or you got something crazy going on with this wore out underneath the car. I'm Mike Melton with Speedy Tire Wholesale in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Don't just throw another tire on it. Because that new one is just going to wear out the same exact damn way. So don't waste your money. Look across the whole edge of the tire, middle and both edges, and then get your alignment and get, get that thing checked. What I want you to do is share this with a friend that may need to check the damn tires.
