A breakdown of the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrax tire, which owners either love for its traction and snow grip or hate for getting choppy after miles. The video includes balancing and road-force testing, ending at about 25 pounds of force.
People either love this tire or hate this tire. This is the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrax. So a lot of people say at the beginning they love them, they got good traction, good snow traction, good off road. But when they get a little miles on them, they tend to get a little choppy. Now, I can tell where all the good wet tracks and stuff come from, from all that siphon, all that cross siping. Now, these things got a decent looking little sidewall on them. Now this side right here has got the white letter. Now, it don't matter what y' all say. This guy wants to do a black wall. And I know, go ahead and put it in the comments about the white letters. Now, we don't do a lot of these because a lot of people complain about them. So we don't touch them unless the customer absolutely has to have them. Now let's go ahead, put it on the road force and see exactly how these things turn out. Now, with this being an ELO tire, we're going to set that road force to LT limits. Now, before we balance this thing out, you know, we got to take that damn sticker off. All right, we got all the weights off. Let's see how these things do. All right, we got that thing spinning. All right, we got that roller on there. All right, the roller about to come over that tire to see where we at. We had an ounce here, quarter three quarters an ounce here and a quarter ounce here. What we're doing, we're splitting the spokes so we hide them. That thing's only got 25 pounds of force that's up under there. It ain't going to vibrate at all.
