We're just making some lean hamburger meat. As you see, we got the The potatoes right there in the oven right there. Then we get that lean meat. So we bought about a big old, big old 5 pounds. Cooking with Speedy. Here we go. Cooking with Speedy, that's gonna be my new show. Gonna put that sodium in there. Gotta, gotta get a lot of salt and sodium. Get that pepper. Of course, you got to get that garlic powder in there, give it a little flavor. Not too much though, you don't want to overpower it. Then we let that cook. We're going to let that simmer, we're going to let it cook. We got the potatoes going on. Come on. When you go grocery shopping, a lot of time they ain't got, uh, sourdough bread. They hadn't had sourdough bread here yet, so I found it today, so I bought 2 loaves. So we eat that, we eat 2 pieces of sourdough bread in the morning with, uh, with a basically a pound of eggs. What we're doing, we, uh, we're pre-cooking all the meals so it makes it easier to, uh, prep your food. So if you do get hungry, you can eat. You ain't got to go to fast food and go grab a couple, couple snacks that you shouldn't be eating. Now, if you haven't been following me for a while, I used to be very overweight. Over, uh, I lost 118 pounds, which I look totally different now just because of what I eat. Right? I go to the gym every day and I eat. But a lot of people think you don't have to eat, you don't eat to lose weight, right? I eat 5 pounds of food a day. 5 pounds of food a day between the breakfast, um, and lunch and right before dinner and dinner. It's a total of 5 pounds of food.
But it's all lean clean food.
Like, the calories you get in one McDonald's meal, I can get all 5 of my meals. It's pretty nuts when you think about it that way. That's why most of America's overweight. They be eating all that crazy crap, which I used to for years. I used to eat a bunch of crazy crap all my life. But then 3 years ago, I saw a picture and I decided no more. I'm tired of being fat. So there you go. The rest is damn history. But you have to totally recreate yourself in order to become the new you. It's not something you read in books. You've got to— this is all trial and error. That's why it took me 3 years to get where I got. I could have got there a little bit faster if I'd have hired a damn coach, so I should have did that. Because they already know what the hell to do. But now, with 3 years of trial and error, trial and error, I know it. I know what I'm doing, all the way from the fats to the carbs to the steps to the beats per minute on your heart. When I go into something, I dissect everything all the way down. That's including that new business. Listen, I got a new business coming up. It's going to be amazing. So we're going to take it regionally right here in Charlotte. Well, not here because I'm in Aruba, but in Charlotte. And then we're going to take it and scale it out nationwide. Um, to go nationwide, it'll probably take us about 2 years, maybe a little bit less. But we are going to be giving a lot of people opportunities to go into business with me. But it's not just anybody, it has to be the right people. I will not at all— I don't care how much money you have, you cannot pay me enough money if you're a bag of crap person. I don't care how much money you got, you're still going to be a bag of crap person. You have to be a good person and you have to treat people very well. And that's just part of it. All right, let's cut that down a little bit. We're going to take this over here, dump this out, then we can get to the next round. Done. Next round, baby. Next round of meat. I think we might dump all this in there. We're gonna cook it all at one time. There we go. Open her all up. What we're gonna do, we open all them pores up inside that meat, right? Now we're gonna season that thing. Now this is about 3 pounds of meat, so we're not gonna go light on the salt. You need sodium in your diet. A lot of people like, man, that's a lot of salt, man. Listen, take your shirt off and I'll take my shirt off and we'll figure out who's right. All right, we got that in there. Not too much. Like I said, 3 pounds. We put a little bit more on that one because it's 3 pounds.
Get out of here.
Oh yeah, now I forgot I had rice in there. I made rice before I went to the gym. Yeah, that spilled over. You saw that right there. So I made that before I went to the gym. Let me fix that dang thing. All right, we're gonna set the damn timer. 15 minutes. All right, we're gonna make some rice. All right, so now we got some rice cooking for later. We got the meat going. We got the meat right here going. This is, this is 8 ounces already prepared. So now I'm just waiting for my potatoes to get done, then we're gonna start eating that right there. That's some damn chicken I had left over yesterday. We're gonna dump this out because I like fresh food. All right, all right, all right. There, hold it down, buddy. Get her a good hold down.
That's it.
Just had to give her a good hose down right there on the back. I don't know if these damn potatoes ever going to get done. Usually we use the damn air fryer. We get the potatoes done in the air fryer in about 15 minutes. It's going to take a little longer with this one. All right, let's mix that meat around. We already got that thing seasoned up. All right, we're going to split it up right here, then we're going to flip it. We flip it, then we're going to season that other side. Flip that right there. Flip that right there.
Come on, go.
Now we're going to mash that up, then we're going to season this side right here. Man, I'm excited about this new business. We're gonna make some people some rich people as long as they willing to put in the work. Nothing ever is given. We don't give anything. We're gonna, we're gonna show you exactly how everything's ran. We're gonna help you acquire the customers. We're gonna help you with the marketing. We are there for you at all times, Monday through Friday, but it's your job to run the day-to-day operations because it's your business. Okay, so at first I'll be the first one with it. I'm going to reprove the concept like I did before when I had my first one. I'm going to reprove this concept because stuff's changed in the past 15 years. So now we're going to start with this one and then we're going to jump up to 10. We're going to go from one thing— I ain't going to tell you what it is— and then we're going to go to 10, and then we're going to scale it from there. Now, if anybody owns a tire company or has been in the tire business for a long time and wants to be your own boss, you have to text me, okay? I'm putting a— I got a whole list of people Um, I'm not going to let everybody in to do it. It's got to be the right person. I don't care how much money you have. You can't give me millions of dollars to be a part of my company. I won't let it happen. I don't care about money like that. I want nothing but good people. That's where it is. And so I'm gonna have different things to, to know if you're going to be the right person, the right fit to be a part of this company. Now, if you want to learn more about this company, I ain't going to tell you a lot, but you'll be on the list, okay? In order to get on the list, text me 704-617-7848. That's how you get on the list. Say, I want to get on the list. That's it. Just text me that. I'm not going to answer you back because I'm on vacation. I'm just— I'm starting to build this out. That's all I'm doing. Just cause I'm on vacation don't mean I stop working. I'm one of the 1%, that's why. I'm a 1%er, and that's not no damn biker gang. I'm a 1%er because I do whatever it takes to get ahead in life. I do whatever it takes to make people better. So remember, 704-617-7848. If you want to be your own boss, get the hell out of that damn place you hate. This is the time to do it. I've already got everything ordered that I need to start with the very first, uh, first one today. Uh, let's see, we're spending roughly close to $160,000, um, on this initial investment, um, for this one. Okay, that's because we're paying everything outright. You don't, you don't have to spend that kind of money. You can, we, you know, you can lease certain things and stuff like that, but I don't want to lease anything. I like to buy, buy it out. But that's just my preference. But for anybody going into this business, um, unless you got unlimited amounts of money, just, just go ahead and lease it. Um, that way a low monthly payment, stuff like that. These are just hints. I can't tell you what it is yet because I haven't finalized everything. That's the only reason I can't tell you what it is. So what I'm doing, I'm just building it up to it, okay?
Come on, potatoes!
Come on! We might have to go buy us an air fryer, cuz I can't, I can't use that little toaster. Buy us an air fryer. All right, let me see if we can't make this audio a little bit better. Can we make the audio better? Let me plug this little thing up in here. Let me put this on right there. All right, let me know if that audio— the audio should be a lot better now. So this episode is called Cooking with Speedy. This is out of the norm of my tire stuff, but you get everything with me. You get my personal life, you get how we build businesses, and you get tire content. How damn good is that? All right, we're letting that cook right there. We're letting that cook right on up. All right, let's find something we can put that in. We got to find us a big old container, brother. A big container. All right, this what we going to do right here. This is what we going to do. We're going to separate these in 8-ounce sections. About the damn star, son. Yeah, that's not alcohol or wine, that's water. That's that good clean water right there. Oh, that's good. That's some good old water right there. A lot of that water's got contaminants in it. Hell, I know a guy who works at the damn Pepsi plant. All they do is fill that water up with a damn hose. A lot of y'all don't even know it. It's filtered, but they still fill it up with a damn water hose. It's just regular water comes out the damn sewer line, filtered out. That's all you drinking. What is it, damn Aquafina or whatever they own? That's what they feeding y'all. All right, we're letting that cook, we're letting that cook right there. Damn potatoes taking forever. All right, let's go, go over here and get away from this thing. How y'all doing today? We got Cooking with Damn Speedy tonight. We out here in Aruba for 35 damn days. I'm out here by myself right now, but the wife's coming and the kids are coming, uh, next week. Here's my little pool out there. So that's where I sit out here and chill and go on live and get my damn thoughts. What's the time? It's the same, uh, let's see, what is it, man? 7:36. So it's the same time as it is back home. It ain't no time difference, man. I gotta, I gotta eat some more damn food, man. I had to lower my food. I was only— I was eating about 3,000 calories, so we got to shred down a little bit more. So we took it down to about 2,300 calories. Fuck, I stay hungry now. There for a while when I was, when I was trying to lose all the weight, I was down to about, you know, 1,500, 1,600 calories, um, but I still wasn't gaining no muscle, stuff like that. So I figured I finally figured it out, just eat more damn food. A lot of people think more food you eat, the more weight you're gonna gain. That's not the truth. Your body's gonna burn it up. What can I do to lose 30 pounds? Um, you got to move more, brother. How many steps you getting in a day? Um, what kind of food are you eating? Um, you don't need— so, you know, you don't need a gym, okay? A lot of people think they need to go spend money on a gym. You ain't got to do that. You can do everything right here on the damn concrete floor. Or just go on a walk. My, my non-negotiable is 15,000 steps a day. It's non-negotiable. If I don't get 15,000 steps a day, I don't care if it's 1 or 2 in the morning, I'm gonna get up and I'm gonna go get those steps in. That's just me personally. That's just, um, that's just how I'm, I'm wired. I have to do this. All right, not enough. I am a truck driver. Oh yeah, so the wife's, uh, brother's a truck driver too, and he's gained a lot of weight being a damn truck driver. Um, but the thing is, when, you know, when you're a truck driver, you get some weights with you, man. You know, a lot of times you do stop for gas. While that thing's filling up, you got a big old tank on there, just take you a couple laps, man. Just get you move as much as possible. That's, that's the biggest thing. Just get that blood flowing, get that moving. Because, you know, if you're sitting in that truck all the time, and you're gonna start having, uh, circulation issues and stuff like that in your legs, um, and you don't want— you don't want that. Yeah, man, anytime. But your food, man, food's the biggest thing. You can prep your food. Hell, you can put, you know, in the trucks you can get the power of, what do you call it, inverters or whatever. Man, you can prep your food right there. That helps you a lot because I know when you're on the road it's a little harder, right? You know, all you see is your Wendy's, your Burger Kings, your Chick-fil-A's and stuff like that, and none of that stuff's good for you at all. So it's best to prep your food. If not, man, you're gonna wind up in the damn hospital. Um, you're gonna wind up on all kinds of medications, and that's what you don't want. So, you know, that's why I started— I'm 45, I'm about to be 46. Um, so that's why I started losing weight. I saw a damn picture of myself, I was like, man, there ain't no way that's me. I was 186— I mean, hold on, so I was 286 pounds. I lost 118 pounds, so I pretty much lost a whole damn person. Because I chose, I chose to, to stay alive over the, uh, over, over fast food. I used to eat a lot of fast food. I used to drink 2, at least 2 gallons of sweet tea a day, which is a lot of sugar. If you ever seen a Southern sweet tea made, we used to eat fast food 3 or 4 times a day. Hell, I was probably eating 6,000, 7,000 calories. Um, maybe, hell, maybe more than that. I didn't— never added it up. Um, but now I eat around 2,300 calories. It was around 2,900, almost 3,000, eating about 5 pounds of food a day. Uh, let's see, right now I'm eating probably around 3.5 pounds of food a day. 45 myself, 5 foot 8, 238 pounds. Yeah, I'm 5'10", brother, so 238. So yeah, you, you was pretty close to where I was, brother. You gotta, you gotta get it fixed, man. If not, man, um, driving that truck, it's, it's good. It's gonna put you in a damn hospital where you can't drive that truck. Trust me, think about it. You better, you better fix it now. Don't wait till it's too late. A lot of people wait till it's too late to do something about it. Um, hell, you might get— I don't know if you got diabetes or not. You know, that, that runs hereditary in my family, right? So my grandma had to have her damn legs cut off because of circulation issues, right? Because she was always sitting at her job. And that's one thing you're doing, you're always sitting at your job, and that's, that's not good. That's not good for your circulation. And I know by what, you know, the weight you told me you are and the height, your diet's not the best, but I want the best for you. I know you can do it. And you just have to have the right mindset to do it. I got to go in there and check on this damn meat, sir. I don't want to damn burn it. But you got to stay super disciplined, man. That's the biggest thing. A lot of people are not disciplined enough to, to, uh, to make it happen. Everybody's like, man, how do you— how do you stay so motivated? I'm not motivated at all. I'm just driven. I, I know what I need to do, and I know that that old me, I buried that person 3 years ago. I'll never be that person again. There's no way. There's no way I will ever be that person ever again. But I really suggest, man, for any truck drivers out there, you guys have got to start moving around. You got to start moving around. You got to eat better because there's going to be one day you won't be able to drive that truck. I'm telling you, you ain't going to be able to drive the damn truck and you're going to lose everything you got. It's going to happen, and I hope it don't happen to you, but right now is the time for you to change to make it not happen, okay? You got enough time. You're young, you're 45, you can make it happen. Just eat right. A lot of people try to get on that damn Ozempic and all kind of crazy, um, weight loss medication. That's not good for you. That'll destroy your damn body. Just eat right. You lose your bone density, you lose every bit of your muscle eating that stuff. I mean, uh, taking that stuff, you do not want to take it. All right, let's make some doggy bags, brother. So since I don't have stuff like I do at home, we have to improvise. So how I'm improvising, we're gonna put 8 ounces inside these bags so everything's pre-cooked already. All I gotta do is dump it out, heat it up, and I'm ready to go. It saves me a lot of time. You can take one day a week and spend an hour or two, make all your food for all week. We got 6 houses. Now I'm so obsessed with this. Now, y'all, y'all gonna think it's crazy, but I do— if I ever go out to eat, I do take my food scale with me if I'm eating certain things, so I make sure I'm not overeating, so I stay on point. I have to stay on point. All right, that's one doggy bag down. All right, let's get another one. That's 8 oz, that's one meal right there. Let's get another meal right here.
Ain't no way that's 8 ounces.
Ain't no way. All right, 8.3, 4.9. We're going to go to 8.3 on this one too, Jack. We going to make it the same, cuz the bag should weigh the same. We're going to be right at it. 8.2, 8.3, brother. There we go. All right, now we got 2 pre-made meals ready to go. Now we got the rice in there cooking. Oh yeah, look at that, Bo!
Woo!
So now we got a whole tub of rice. Look at that. I'm so damn hungry. We might eat that rice, brother. We're about to eat 150 grams of rice. These potatoes are taking way too damn long. All right, here we go. All right, now we're going to have 150 grams of white rice. You got to measure that food out. If you don't know what you're putting in your mouth, you don't know if you're under-eating or over-eating, and neither one of them is good for you. There we go. Now you know what we got to finish with. A lot of people don't know what you got to finish that out with. Let me show you what we finish that out with. Now here's the secret sauce to everything— ketchup. I put ketchup on everything. I go to a steakhouse and the damn steak will be $100, it gets ketchup.
Look at that.
All right, we're going to dump that in there. We're going to dump that right on in there. All right, I think that's about done. So now what we're going to do, we're going to put this in the oven for now. Just to keep it warm. And I'm gonna cook, and I'm gonna eat my food while that's getting ready, while the potatoes are getting ready, because them potatoes will take a little while, and I ain't got time to be messing with them damn taters. We hungry. Hell, let's go outside and eat. It feels good outside. It's about— hell, I don't know, it's about 80 degrees here, but I heard back home it was about 104 degrees, back home in Charlotte. Oh man, has anybody got any business questions? I like to talk business. Hell, we— y'all can talk junk to me either way. Talk junk, talk business, hell, I don't care. Ask me questions. How's your wife? How's your kids? Y'all going on any vacations this year? Anybody going on vacations? Where you going? We got the wife calling.
